ECM at it's highest level at the best decade and with some of its best artists! And yes, I smoked weed with RT in Culver City, Los Angeles! LOL

Jan Garbarek, this is IT!...
Naná is a true master
Garbarek, Towner and Abercrombie in one recording.... Magic. Nana is also amazing.
Guitarists in particular may want to check out a couple of duet albums Towner and Abercrombie put out on ECM in the 70s and 80s -- great stuff!!
@@dwmc102555 There is also an amazing duet by Garbarek and Towner called "Dis". Two songs on this recording are from that album
Not also
He was the heart of this concept
@@emmanuelmassarotti5535 Nana was brilliant. I first heard him with Egberto Gismonti in 1976 in San Diego, introduced to me by my Saint Lucia friend. I know the album like I know my heartbeat. “Sol Do Meo Dia”.
@@annalisa14 adoro tambem tu lista do Brasil com muito Flora Purim 💖
Since I discovered it some years ago, "Timeless" has been a precious pearl in my discography and will remain forever. In this live version Jan Garbarek flies beyond the sound with his saxophone like a big bird of hope and beauty. 🎷🌾
I discover this album...now! and I can't but totally agree with you. Something magic mesmerizes me...
I thought Garbarek isn’t on this record
@@gareginasatryan6761 No, he is not ...but I think she may be referring to Abercrombie and the ECM family in general with their unique quality. I still play the tune Timeless at my gigs. I have been aslo so very influenced by the ECM recordings. Please ck out my page of recordings.

One of the greats album's of all time
Miss Abercrombie and Vasconcelos.
No, it’s Mr. ;)
Incredible music by the masters of the era! A time when there were so many great recordings by this now senior generation of improvising musicians.
Love the loose complexities.. As my French cousin would say…. Super (soo- pear)😁
Beautiful & timeless music by the best !!!!
Abercrombie quoting A Love Supreme in Spanish Samba was just gorgeous!
Pure gold.
Beautiful Spanish Samba , played in great part by Naná and his berimbau .
Saudações ao inesquecível Naná Vasconcelos , from Brasil , with love.
very good...............................................
12:50 Timeless
Naná Vasconcelos ... sem palavras
Excellent album ! With respect from Russia !

I can’t stop listening to this sweetness. Working on a 3rd listen thru right now. Shiny, bright , and tight. Many thanks!!⚜️🏄♂️🌊⚜️😁👂👀👍
SUPER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Top master's.
Man, every time I *listen* to this I hear new sonic gems.
Stunning seen them all interesting label out of California.......pre ECM collaboration for this peerless Quartet
Where has this been all my life? Sublime
You had to be in love with Brasilian bossa music 🎼 back in 1966 like me. One music led to another and by the time I was 18 in Venice beach, California, I knew vibraphone, jazz , Aierto Moreira and dozens more excellent musicians. It keeps growing. I’m 70 now... these guys here are the creme of the crop and Soooo versatile...
I am obsessed with it all, especially the ecm crossovers. I bet you have some great stories and I’d like to hear them. Cheers
Great music by fantastic artists! Thanks so much for the upload. For those interested - I found some tracks were mislabeled or misidentified, which is understood; there are a few issues of this concert I found online. I made some adjustments (see below) still feel like I didn't suss out a couple of tracks. It's very hard to draw a definitive line on some of those segues.

Excellent
...with the greatest Naná! Everything get into place.
Great Jazz..Masters !...
Que belleza!!!... Greetings & thanks for the music from Khollasuyo Bolivia & This World...
Muchas gracias.
still love it!!
Fantastic!
there is a lot of great music to be discovered, but once in a while you´ll find MAGIC! THIS IS MAGIC
Love it
is a very rare document. Thanks for posting this. The quality of the recording is really good. Even if Garbarek is announced as leader there are compositions by him, Towner and Abercrombie, and a long free improvisation section by the end that is the most surprising one. Any of this musicians have free improvisation records, and they sound great.
sweet mother of god! PHENOMENAL
The first piece is Red Roof from
the Jan Garbarek Group ecm album Picture with ...
thx
Subscribed! Enjoying this recording. Thank you!
April 11, 1978 ECM Broadcast.
NDR Jazz Workshop No. 134 produced by Michael Naura,
Grosser Sendesaal des NDR Funkhauses, Hamburg,
Four iconic ECM artists in a rare get-together as part of the famous NDR Jazz Workshop series. They also appeared together at the Willisau Jazz Festival in Switzerland later that same year.
Audio production at the studio of NDR Funkhauses Hamburg where this show was superbly recorded for a ‘live in the studio’ concert.
Thanks to whoisthemonk !
What a "Timeless" document - THANKX 4 sharing 2 The Art of Listening!
WOOOOW.
MUSIC, AGAIN!
THIS IS MUSIC!
HIGHEST FREESTYLE LEVEL : RHYTHM, MELODY, EVERYONE & EVERYTHING JUST IN TUNE!
THANX A LOT FOR THE UPLOAD!
🙏🏾
Thanks for sharing this rare gem. At 37:00 Towner's "Nimbus" with his sublime detuned 12-string, (I believe G and D strings in 3rds) from the first Solstice album. This is a special concert recording indeed, pristine quality for 78. I assume recorded with the advanced tube powered condenser mics from Germany, as in the ECM studio recordings at Ton Studio Bauer in ludwigsburg.
Maravillosa agrupación musical. Sorprendente calidad musical. Gracias por compartir.
timeless = maravilloso. saludos desde argentina
Arte com a assinatura de Gênios! BRAVOOO!!!...
Excelente!
this channel posts so much fire so predictably it rocks
Wow

A dzen jazz. Just got high being so sober.
This was tremendous, first time listening and I enjoyed every second. Thank you 🙏
What an amazing selection you have! A gem!
The interplay between Garabek and Abercrombie at 1:29:00 is incredible!!!!
The recording i never heard before.Better than ever but now i wił listen to my song keith jarrett
First listen for me. Thanks as always for sharing.
Это уже классика.
Fantastisch...
Masterpiece…
I couldn’t find this album on apple music.
This is a bootleg...
Jan Garbarek's "Eventyr" has same personnel but without Towner. It's a very nice album.
I love characters by John Abercrombie
sublime
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
At times, Garbarek plays a sax like it's a trumpet. Interesting player. Reminds me of Joe Farrell, a bit Gato Barbieri, also
It's my lucky day again
Nana siguió con Pat Metheny, cuyo sonido era bastante semejante a la guitarra de Abercrombie, sólo que éste fue anterior y por lo tanto, influencia de aquél, al igual que lo fueron Wes Montgomery y Toninho Horta
I wish there are separate songs outside of this. I would love to put some of them into my playlist.
Search them, you can find some of them, like Timeless.
what an incredible find - thanks a lot! Is there a chance for flac files?
ohh esta música no envejece......
OKAY BRO
nothing cuts through quite like Garbarek!!
pretty edgy for fusion. novel texture, too. thx
Fine Art +youtube comments; the art of listening so..@#.
35:42 ❤❤❤
Glen Moore brought me here
it's not officially released on vinyl?
12:45 Timeless; So I don't have to look for it every time.
Yoy rule!
I cannot find this album on discogs? does anybody have a matrix number of it?
Doidera
The tittle of the 5th tune isn't Krusning. The real tittle is Yr
💥 🎶🎶 😊👍 🎶🎶 🌼

gigante Naná, ainda subvalorizado em seu país de origem ....😕
I do love Garbarek in small doses. But too much of his output is too samey for me - it's like he's often playing slightly different versions of the same bit of music....
le sax est agressif .................dommage !
... starts w vasco, well, typical, ok...then, out of left field, garb with his neurosis ruins it . those days long gone when one could endure other people’s neuroses...in music, film, or anything... lol
how is that neurosis
Your comment is stunningly closed minded. What are you? An armchair psychotherapist apparently…. I take it you don’t like Garbarek’s playing, huh? Well then, my suggestion to you is: Don’t Listen To Him. I don’t know if you’ve maybe not noticed this or Something, but there are All Types of Different Players with Different Styles. And Garbarek was born and raised in a place (Northern Norway) where the sun stays out for I think about 10 weeks Continually in the summer and then the same thing in reverse, Continuous Darkness or Twilight for 10-12 weeks in the winter, while it’s an average of -20 to -40 deg. C. Have you ever met anyone else from Way Up North like that?? They’re ALL a little Tweaky. THIS IS NORMAL FOR THEM, being “Neurotic”. They even have a medical term for it; it’s called SADS. It stands for Seasonal Affective Disorder Syndrome. Look it up.
What a stink bomb. This never comes together, even for a second. Abercrombie has a terrible tone and Towner, as is often the case, should have been left at home. Contributes nothing.
Sir,
1. there must be something wrong with your ears. Poor guy!
2. since you are only mentioning John and Ralph I presume that you must be a phantastic guitarist for sure on electric as well as on classical and 12-string 🎸. Are you an ECM-musician?
So please send some links that we can get the great smell of your non "stinking bomb"...
