What’s sad about Aeroflot 1492 (a Sukhoi SSJ-100) is that everyone initially survived the crash, but while the plane caught on fire and people needed to evacuate, a lot of people were getting their luggage from the overhead bins. And so the people in the back didn’t have enough time to get out of the plane. Unfortunately only 37 of the 78 passengers survived. Everyone might have survived if people hadn’t prioritized their luggage.

Hey ice! I have an idea for a competition, what if along with the art competitions, you do a plane model collection competition. This competition would be based on things like how creatively the planes are displayed. But I worry that this competition might be unfair to those who don’t have the money and/or space to collect plane models. What do you think?

Judging by the recent fatal crashes in the past decade, we’re expecting one or two major crash with 50-200 fatalities every year.
Like in 2020, we had Ukraine International flight 752, 2021 saw the crash Sriwijaya 182 and then a year later in 2022, we had China Eastern 5735 then this year in 2023 was Yeti airlines flight 691. So hopefully, the frequency of a major plane accident occurring will continue dropping going into 2024

You're not going to believe how many planes have crashed/have had an incident 4 months into 2024
My father is an airline pilot, and he's upgrading to the 737 max.
He says that those crashes were 100% preventable - all the crew needed to do was hold a simple lever...
They didn't because they weren't trained well enough.
Yeah, the 737 MAX is truly incredibly safe.
they didnt know-
It's quite sad to hear that Boeing never told anyone about the MCAS thing.
The pilots did not had any practical knowledge to operate the modern version of the b737 so it's a true fact that Boeing should had given proper training to operate b737 Max
Good video! You explained it very well
Name the safest plane: a Northrop Grumman drone because no one is in it.
The B747 may have had a lot of high profile crashes but they was caused by human error, maintenance issues (when someone neglects a certain part of the plane), weather, or terrorism.
Including the deadliest of them all, the Tenerife collision which involved two 747s! Notice how there have been far fewer crashes within the past ten years than there were during the 60s and 70s! Even so, most of incidents within the past decade had very few if any casualties compared to many of those from 50 years ago!
The Boeing 747 is very frequently used in the past so it’s not surprising that it has so many crashes
I'd say the A320 family would be the "safest" cause it is extreamly popular aswell and it didn't have many fatal accidents. (I googled and I came to the conclusion of 1490 fatalities on board of a member of this family)
The first A320 fatal accident was flight 296Q, just 2 months after its reseale

Such as the Nolinor. They carry cargos and teams of engineers to Canadians Northern Islands.
IMO it's not just a matter of airplane, it's more a combination of, mainly: airplane, company, the airports you're flying from and to (are they surrounded by mountains? do they have ILS and stuff?), the weather, and if you're flying at night
I feel sad for the paper plane 😞 😉😁
Nice video 👌
Lol it’s ok tho, thanks!
The safest plane could be the infamous DC-10
(It does makes sense)
They couldn’t be crashed if they’re retired & grounded
Therefore they’re one of the safest planes till now
I think the recently retired MD90 is a good underrated candidate for this list
Thank you this helps me be more comfortable flying 😊😊
I’m glad to hear!
Hi Ice711! I thought, why don't you do a poll like the one of "best Planes" but this time with "best airports"? (In this way nobody will complain about the Airbus A3)
Haha I will make an imaginary airport
I actually would love to see this poll. I'm curious who can be the winner.
as someone said - the a320 family. simply very popular, and only 160 fatal accidents/incidents - most of them being human errors
True, very reliable.
the "BLYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT" got me laughing hardly
This really added some confidence in me cause I am about to go on to 737 today to get back home….😅
As someone going on a flight on a day this makes me scared yet happy
Intro super funny lol 😂😂😂
Just out of curiosity, I would want to see the ratio between number of accidents of an airplane model compared to their total number of flights. It's not a perfect measure of finding the most dangerous airliner because like you said, a lot of it comes down to human error and weather conditions. Also, if you want to remove the bias of newer airplane models having a safer track record, then just compare the average annual accidents of each airplane.
The question is: compare amount of flights and accidents or compare accidents per 100.000 Flight hours?
Supreme editing my dude😂

like the a350, when the a350 had the JAL 519 accident and the plane caught fire in seconds still everyone onboard the a350 survived which is super good
It was jal516
you also have to base it off of crashes from pilot error. if the main reason the plane crashes is from pilot error it’s more safe since the plane’s technology didn’t malfunction.
I personally think the aircraft I have come up with in my drawings are the safest with 0 crashes or flights since it's only on paper
Fact sqare windows are a stess amplifier and it breaks at a hard angle and that's what happened in the 1950s when 3 planes known as the Comets or comettes broke up mid flight

Canada loves the old 737s because they have an optional gravel shield and rural canada has a lot of gravel runways. Gap in the market.
Technically in fictional terms, the A340 had one fictional fatal crash and that was Speedway Airlines Flight 5432 from Dream Land to Fremont in California. Over Waddle Dee Town, the A340 collided with a 757 and the A340 crashed in the waters in Waddle City Beach
☠
surely a metric like fatalities caused by technical failure per million flown kilometers can show which is the safest plane
I should show that to my sister. She just has a huge fear of flying lol
I like how you put spirit airlines in it
I watched this before my Boeing 787 Dreamliner flight :D
I would actually call the Embraer E-Jet (Not ERJ!) one of the safest planes. They fly very often, and only have one crash attributed to the actual plane, and not pilot error.
A lot of planes get tainted by large crashes, like the DC-10. It just became 'Unsafe' in the public eye, after a few crashes, though it wasnt much more dangerous than other planes of that era.

Completely off-topic, but does anyone else want to take one of those old flying boats from WW2, modernize it and just live in it? You effectively got all the advantages of a small house, but you can fly. Maybe even keep the machineguns for "self-defence" (shooting at birds as target practice). No need for any vehicle to get to your job you can just land your home right beside it.
The Tu-114 could also be on this list though no airlines fly it anymore
Nice paper airplane you got there!
Would be a shame if somebody,
oh I don’t know,

i remember flying on a DC-10 from America to i think Chicago when i was younger.
I only just realized how new this vid is
In my opinion, I think it’s the A220 (which is very obvious) but I would also consider the 737 of Ryanair, why? Because they haven’t had a single crash (most serious accident was a bird strike but the plane didn’t crash and there was a lot of ground collisions so yeah)
I like this video. Even though there is not a 100% safe plane it’s still safer than driving and hopefully we will have a 100% safe plane one day
if it was airlines then probably oman air but great video btw
0:30 very safe
a good way to describe this is to see the average amount of days it takes for it to crash (amount of flys divided by amount of crashes)
As for the planes that don't have crashes, the answer is already given (except they haven't crashed lol)
Good video
