NGL I followed Rajang whilst in Sacred Sheath just because I didn't want to lose that charge no matter what. Once Frenzied Bloodlust, Frostcraft 3, Evade Extender 3, Quick Sheath 3 were tied into one build I just feel so comfy I said out loud "Go ahead and run if it makes you feel good. I'll catch up" lol
Hahaha i do that so much, charge up a sheath, monster flees. "Oh you can run but you cant hide" then proceed to sheath dash for 2mins straight across the map hahahah
The flaming espinas longsword is a bit harder to build for but that’s the one i’d recommend going with because it is very strong, just make sure you fit in build up boost, element attack and teostra blessing
Flaming Espinosa sword also has chance to poison so it does 60 fire damage not sure how much poison. Enough that if you stack poison with buddies you'd do significantly more damage
@@ballsack8937 It’s like 28 poison, which is enough , but more importantly it allows you to run build up boost. It’s one of the strongest all purpose longswords, but even stronger against fire weak monsters. I wouldn’t suggest using poison weapons for your buddies though, if you wanted to do max damage you’d want to use two palamutes with elemental spinning chains. I like to use sleep weapons though for wake up attacks

you should add evade extender 2 and possibly some evade window to your builds. how i play: sakura slash and special sheathe on red scroll, pick up wirebug and do 3x sakura slash, swap to blue, enter sacred sheathe hop around/through attacks and unleash the combo few things about the sacred sheathe: while performing it you gain hyper armor, you get reduced damage and cannot be knocked back after sacred sheathe you can perform a roundslah/reckoning during the sheathing animation if you get hit you do auto counter and lose one gauge level, however if you release R2 manually when you are about to get hit you wont lose the gauge, and afterwards you can perform a roundslah/reckoning to gain a spirit level if you decide to play with sacred sheathe make sure you have frostcraft level 3, it is a huuge damage boost. if you are lacking affinity you can add critical draw to your build, it will affect all 3 hits of sacred sheathe combo.
I got a Raw Build too Golden Lune LS, Attack Boost Up lvl 7, Citical Eye lvl 4, Critical Boost lvl 3, Weakness Exploit lvl 3, Frostcraft lvl 3, Wind Mantle lvl 2, Powder Mantle lvl 1, BuildUpBoost lvl 3, Bloodlust lvl 1, Frenzied Bloodlust lvl 1, Coalenscense lvl 3, Stun Resistance lvl 3, Speed Sharpening lvl 3, Shock Absorber lvl 1. Serious Question, is that viable? (It took around 50 hours to get the Talisman and all of the Augments) Also, i will build that Elemental set‘s of yours, they look great!
That's definitely a solid Build! Nice work. Keep that around for sure, specially if you spent that much time making it 👍🏽 If you have the Kamura Points to buy Great Wethfish Fins for sharpening i'd drop the Speed Sharpening for Cham.Blessing Lv 3. The only thing i see that is kinda off a bit would be Wind Mantle without Wirebug Whisperer (Wind Mantle Lv 1 or 2 by itself is quite a bit less valuable than Wirebug Whisperer Lv 3 by itself).

I have a little variation of that build were i used the teostra LS, problem with that is that i lose 3 lvls of Coalescense but gain 3 lvls of Protective Polish, is that better than the one with the Golden Lune LS?
@@Nikolai08478 How good purple sgarpness is will always depend on the weapon type and if it has Element or is a Raw/Status weapon. For the Element Longswords it is now meta to run them all with purple sharpness if you can since TU5. For Raw/Status only push weapons into purple if you dont hsve to give up any other Main skills to make room for Handicraft. Golden Lune can always be used with just the white Sharpness and will still be great. For your comparisson between Teo & Golden Lune - Golden Lune wins easily in overall dps.

That completely depends on what you're trying to achive with your Augments. Here's a quick rundown: Regular: Can give you any Skill/Slot Upgrade, but has the largest amount of RNG for high Tier Skills. Skills+ : Will sacrifice 1 or more Skill Points on your Armor Piece to give you a higher chance at high Tier Augments (worth it if the armor piece you're using has a useless Skill on it!) Stability: Not realy worth it imo (basically just gives you more defense, wich doesnt mean much in Endgame) Slots+ : Will sacrifice 1 or more Skill Points on your Armor Piece to give you mutiple Slot Upgrades & possibly a Skill along with it aswell.

Hey 🖐🏽No worries. It doesnt matter at all where they are placed. Aslong as you start with the largest Decoration and work your way down in size everything will fall into place by itself. 👍🏽
@@MaoTamashi The Augments will come down to 2 things. As i mention in the Video Frostcraft is entirely up to your own personal preference on that Build. So if you want to use it, 3x Levels of that is the first thing you need to get (That can ofc be achived with a Talisman insted aswell) After that the rest will be whichever of the Skills on the Augment Recommendation List you like the most. Mail of Hellfire is the first thing i would pick next, then Frendzied Bloolust. It's a very complete Build without any Augments so the choice is entirely yours.
If you mean the Decorations, they're all listed below the Armor/Skills on the left side of the screen. Start with the biggest Decorations and work your way down in size. That way everything will fall into place by itself
For Longsword it realy comes down to your own personal playstyle & preferences. I highly recommend trying out everything! Especially because the different kind of counters feel different to everyone. The only ones i recommend using at all times when you're starting out are: - Drawn double slash - Spirit Roundslash Everything else comes down to what you personally like (I use pretty much all of them, and adapt what exactly i'm using depending on the target i'm fighting).
@@Winter2k23 For damage output the best option is the one you can see in the Video, on each of the Element Builds. Full Element Augments (2 Slots will be left over) & then a regular ATK Augment to fill in the remaining 2 Slots.

Nice builds you are a much better player then I am! My favorite set is built around 3 heaven sent, 3 powder mantle, 3 frostcraft and 1 wind mantle. I have a talisman with 5 evade window, 3 stun resistance and 2-2-2 slots this is a vanity build I know but it dose hit hard you look like a colorful storm going into battle a fun set that has taken into 4 pages of special investigations.
@@YokaiNox It's a fun build never sharpen, infinite stamina and if you get hit the first hit almost no damage and because I'm not very good I need it. I have gotten that talisman 3 times now rolling for evade window.

The Skills on the Build are compensating for negative Affinity on the Tigrex & Amatsu LS. So when you use the Gold Rathian or Lucent Narga LS you can adjust them according to the weapon (drop Max Might or some Crit Eye since you would be over 100% Affinity). G.Rathian & L.Narga are super close in overall Performance now. Just pick wichever you prefer.

@@rudycontarini2292 I used the normal one cause i had plenty of resources, but the skill+ is totaly fine too! Stuff like wirebug or quicksheath can easily be replaced with a deco if you loose them in the process & you might get slot upgrades along with Frostcraft that way aswell.

I'm not sure what you mean with Skill Tree 🤔 There are no Skill Trees in Monster Hunter. Do you mean the Weapon Tree to upgrade the Weapon to maximum ?
Just to make sure I understand right. I am building the Cozy Cat, almost finished just need to unlock the Attack and Affinity level 4 Jewels, thank you for the build :) But about the augumentations, the recommended list is clear, just need to make sure we are on the same page I got Powder Mantle Lv 1 but it takes Frenzied Bloodlust to 0, similar was with Slotage. Is this something that I seek or look for augumentation with lower "minus"????
Before i answer your question, a small heads up: New Longsword Builds are actually going live later today or tomorrow 😄Good news though, one of them is literall just an upgrade of the Cozy Cat and doesnt change very much, so you will be able to make that one very quickly if you already have this one. About your question: You mean you got Powder Mantle as an Augment, but it removed Frenzied Bloodlust ? If so, I definitely recommend trying to get Powder Mantle without loosing Frenzied Bloodlust! The skill has very high value for Longsword! Powder Mantle is also not a very high Tier Augment, so getting it by sarificing something else is pretty much never recommendet. You also just leave PM at Lv 1 & go for something else.

@@CarnageLink Yup, you can literally get any Skill as Augment that is avilable in the drop pool, without sacrificing any other Skill on the armor part. It just happens a bit more rarely depending on the tier of the Skill.
You can get a Critical Eye Lv 3 Charm with good Slots veeery easy now! Just use the Cyclus Melding like i show at the start of the Video. You can get a Charm similar to mine very fast!
Yeah that's good 👍🏽 You can easily make these Builds with that. Only have to drop the Chain 2 Deco, wich isnt a big deal. And when you start augmenting the Builds, you can add it back in.@@thienpham8574
A very good question that i see quite alot! As they're both featured in the last Build here, it's kind of an either or scenario. For allround usage the Tigrex LS will have better flexibillity & more consistant DPS. But if you're fighting something with a Water weakness, or have a playstyle that spams Silkbind Attacks, the Amatsu LS can come out ontop. (My personal default pick for Raw LS is Tigrex atm)
There is no real Lv recommendation for these Builds. But as you can see in the title & thumbnail, they are built around the Title Update 5. So you will have to atleast be far enough into Sunbreak to access that DLC (post main Story - aka when the real game begins 😄). For Builds that you can make earlier you should check out the previous Longsword Build Videos on the Channel.
Longsword has a very good balance of Raw & Element output, so going for a rather expensive skill that only increases Element (like Dragon Conversion) is not ideal for LS. If you have room to add it into the Build after everything else, you can go for it👍🏽 Otherwise dont go out of your way to get it here.
im using the same builds but with extra mail of hellfire and frostcraft both lvl 3 and for some reason why i am dealing less damage than you and by the way it's the same monsters with the same builds in the video any advise ?
Were you using the right Rampage Decos for the Monsters you were fighting ? The rest comes down to other mutipliers. Like Spirit Gauge Level, Froscraft Gauge Level, Monster enraged state, buffs from food items like Might Seed etc.
I have a few questions. First of all, why maximize attack and not element on weapon augments for elemental weapons? And why increase Attack boost to max and not Element exploit or Burst on most elemental sets? Then I was thinking of making elemental sets with at least 1 level of Dereliction and Strife at max (in armor augments, I don't play with Frostcraft), as Strife adds affinity it will free up space for other talents at the same time. Could this be interesting? Anyway, great video as usual, I'm struggling to make longsword sets at the moment so this is a big help. Thanks and keep it up!
All questions are welcome! ^_^ The reason why Elemental Longswords still get augmented for Attack first & then Element at the end is because Elemental Output is different for all Weapon Types. And Longsword is one of the Weapons that has a Raw dominant Damage output. That's why even on Element Builds Raw Attack augment has priority. The same thing also applies to Elemental Skills like Element Exploit. Alot of those also have deminishing returnds past Lv 1, so they only go higher if you have Slots left over. Elemental LS Builds with Dereliction Lv 1 or 2 + Strife 2 or 3 definitely work great! The overall DPS is very similar. The only issue is that some of the most valuable parts that can be used for Elemental LS take up the same spots as some of the best Strife & Dereliction Parts😄 It ends up being a either - or scenario. I use both Dere+Strife & Frostcraft Builds. The big difference is in the Sheath you want to use. If you only want to use Special Sheath, then go with Dere+Strife. If you want to use Sacred Sheath or mix both, use Frostcraft. You can also use both if you have a good enough Talisman^^ Thanks for the feedback, have a good one!

How did you get your draconic slash to hit for 5896. I tried making the build with the only tweaks to it being I have a talisman that gives me crit eye 3 and atk 2 but i'm still 2k under on that wake up on rathian. So I'm wondering what extra skills you have in there that got you up to 5800 almost 5900 damage on that wake up.
There are no significant extra Skills aside from what i mentioned at the start of the Video. Wich is Frostcraft at Lv 3. It gives a large boost to both Raw & Element (+30% to both when the Gauge is at max - Great for wake up hits!👌🏽). You can see in the Backgroundfootage that my regular Sacred Sheath combo already has a final hit of around 2.85k on Rathian when she's not asleep. And the modifier when hitting a sleeping Monster is x2. So that already explains my nearly 6k Damage on the sleeping Rathian. If you have Frostcraft Lv 3 in your Build, but still not getting close to those numbers, let me know. We'll figure out what the issue is & fix it 😊👍🏽
i do have frostcraft 3 in the build but im not anywhere near 5800. i managed to make the same build except i have element exploit lvl 3 and mail of hellfire 2. so im genuinely curious what i could've done wrong here. @@YokaiNox
@@icedzero9637 What's the DMG on your Sacred Sheath final hit on a Rathian when she's awake ? The 5.8K wake up hit ofc includes any buffs from items & the spiribird you get in the Arena aswell. But there's definitely something strange going on here if you're DMG is that far off.🤔Your Build also sounds to be very similar to mine, with the only difference that mine has MoH Lv 3 (wich isnt a big deal here), but no Dragon Conversion. Mathematically the DPS should be very similar! Like within a +/- 200 Range when the monster is awake, including item buffs etc. You're also the only one so far that has run into this problem, wich makes this even stranger 😅
I wonder if its the MoH that's doing it then cause im within 401 of your damage. sitting at 5496 on wake up right after coal proc. the only solution I see to it is MoH 3. The only thing I find funny is that I tweaked you other builds and made them hit harder but I couldn't seem to do it with this one.@@YokaiNox
I change the Switch Skills depending on what i'm fighting. But the 2 I always use in general are: - Drawn Double Slash - Spirit Roundslash Everything else will come down to personal preference. For example I have Special Sheathe & Soaring Kick on one scroll. While I have Sacred Sheathe + Sakura Slash on the other one.
@@charlesboudreaux3292 Not sure wich part exactly you mean, but i'm guessing you mean the Sacred Sheathe Combo. It's what happens when your Spirit Gauge is on red and you fully charge the Sacred Sheathe. (If you mean something else, put a Timestamp.Then i can tell you what it was)

I tried coping the exact build for cozy cat. Added all the decorations listed but it didn't max out any of them. I'm trying to figure out where it is that I'm doing something wrong
That's more than strange.. 🤔 There's definitely something wrong then. If you start with the biggest decorations and work your way down in size there's no way you wont get the skills. Are you sure you're using the right Decorations ? The only thing i could see is that you perhaps used normal Attack 2 Decos insted of the big Attack+ 4 Decos. Or perhaps a different Talisman ? (Stun Resistance on my Talisman can be ignored, it's just a bonus sideskill)
Hi! I tried to follow the water build but I may be doing something wrong. It seems I need 6x4 slots to accommodate the H Stream Jewel 4. I managed to slot all except that one . I've gone through the video several times and I do have the same armor and I'm missing another 4 slot Please advise
No worries! I'm pretty sure you're actually doing everything right ^_^ I didnt even notice that, but it seems the "Expert+4" got carried over into that particular Build Overlay from the previous one when i made the Deco List. When you look at the Skills you 'll notice it's not supposed to be there (It would give us Crit Eye Lv "8" 😄 The Build only requires Lv 6) All you need is the 2x Expert 2 Decos. Drop the Expert+ 4 and use that Slot for the H Stream Deco 👍🏽 Thanks for bringing this to my attention & Happy Hunting

But there is still a good alternative you can use till then! 😊 These are the Parts you wanna use: For R. Kushala Helm - Use Lunagaron Helm For R.Teostra Chest - Use Normal Teostra Chest / Or Amatsu Chest For Virtue Arms - Use Amatsu Arms For Virtue Waist - Use Rathalos Waist (Just keep in mind that you'll have to adjust the Decorations according quite a bit.)
Stormsoul is the one other "blessing" skill that boost Thunder and Dragon element, unfortunately it's completely locked to the Narwa and Ibushi armours and level 4 and 5 level up the other skills that are on the armour sets. Kinda wish the made a altered version of the skill that could work like the other blessing skills, call it Storm Surge or All Mothers Blessing and cap it at level 4 with different additional effects.
Indeed. Would be great if we get some kind of substitute for the Blessing that we can incooperate into Builds without necessarily having to use the Narwa & Ibushi pieces.

Non Augmented Melee Builds use them alot because of Crit Eye, Master's Touch, great Slotage & the fact that they have Ballistics Lv 1, wich is you can use as fodder when augmenting. Allowing you to get good additional Skills/Slots from augmenting without loosing anything you actually need. They just have great overal potential for Builds that use Master's Touch. They can be substituted with Risen Shagaru or Amatsu Arms aswell.
It's called "Sacred Sheath" it's a Switch Skill that you'll unlock in Sunbreak wich can replace the "Special Sheath". It will change a few playstyle Mechanics and allow you to reposition while in the sheathed animation.
I actually think Intrepid Heart level 2 is so clutch for sheath playstyle. Sakura Slash will fully charge Intrepid in 2 uses and you can just get a guarenteed hit off plus the free damage from the explosion it gives. Kinda feels like cheating tbh

I got a Raw Build too Golden Lune LS, Attack Boost Up lvl 7, Citical Eye lvl 4, Critical Boost lvl 3, Weakness Exploit lvl 3, Frostcraft lvl 3, Wind Mantle lvl 2, Powder Mantle lvl 1, BuildUpBoost lvl 3, Bloodlust lvl 1, Frenzied Bloodlust lvl 1, Coalenscense lvl 3, Stun Resistance lvl 3, Speed Sharpening lvl 3, Shock Absorber lvl 1. Serious Question, is that viable?
(It took around 50 hours to get the Talisman and all of the Augments)

If you have the Kamura Points to buy Great Wethfish Fins for sharpening i'd drop the Speed Sharpening for Cham.Blessing Lv 3.
The only thing i see that is kinda off a bit would be Wind Mantle without Wirebug Whisperer (Wind Mantle Lv 1 or 2 by itself is quite a bit less valuable than Wirebug Whisperer Lv 3 by itself).

I also have a question, is purple sharpness better so much better than white sharpness? I have a little variation of that build were i used the teostra LS, problem with that is that i lose 3 lvls of Coalescense but gain 3 lvls of Protective Polish, is that better than the one with the Golden Lune LS?
@@Nikolai08478 How good purple sgarpness is will always depend on the weapon type and if it has Element or is a Raw/Status weapon.
For the Element Longswords it is now meta to run them all with purple sharpness if you can since TU5.
For Raw/Status only push weapons into purple if you dont hsve to give up any other Main skills to make room for Handicraft. Golden Lune can always be used with just the white Sharpness and will still be great.
For your comparisson between Teo & Golden Lune - Golden Lune wins easily in overall dps.

You can replace the Helmet with the Lunagaron or Teostra X Helmet. And the Chest with Teostra X or Gaismagorm. Augment recommendations will also be the same that i mention for that Build.

That completely depends on what you're trying to achive with your Augments. Here's a quick rundown:
Regular: Can give you any Skill/Slot Upgrade, but has the largest amount of RNG for high Tier Skills.
Skills+ : Will sacrifice 1 or more Skill Points on your Armor Piece to give you a higher chance at high Tier Augments (worth it if the armor piece you're using has a useless Skill on it!)
Stability: Not realy worth it imo (basically just gives you more defense, wich doesnt mean much in Endgame)
Slots+ : Will sacrifice 1 or more Skill Points on your Armor Piece to give you mutiple Slot Upgrades & possibly a Skill along with it aswell.

Hey 🖐🏽No worries. It doesnt matter at all where they are placed. Aslong as you start with the largest Decoration and work your way down in size everything will fall into place by itself. 👍🏽

@@MaoTamashi The Augments will come down to 2 things. As i mention in the Video Frostcraft is entirely up to your own personal preference on that Build. So if you want to use it, 3x Levels of that is the first thing you need to get (That can ofc be achived with a Talisman insted aswell)
After that the rest will be whichever of the Skills on the Augment Recommendation List you like the most. Mail of Hellfire is the first thing i would pick next, then Frendzied Bloolust. It's a very complete Build without any Augments so the choice is entirely yours.

If you mean the Decorations, they're all listed below the Armor/Skills on the left side of the screen. Start with the biggest Decorations and work your way down in size. That way everything will fall into place by itself

For Longsword it realy comes down to your own personal playstyle & preferences. I highly recommend trying out everything! Especially because the different kind of counters feel different to everyone.
The only ones i recommend using at all times when you're starting out are:
- Drawn double slash
- Spirit Roundslash
Everything else comes down to what you personally like (I use pretty much all of them, and adapt what exactly i'm using depending on the target i'm fighting).
Any performance differences between slotting full 'orange element' gems to full damage 'red' gems? - qurio weapons. (augment status.)
@@Winter2k23 For damage output the best option is the one you can see in the Video, on each of the Element Builds. Full Element Augments (2 Slots will be left over) & then a regular ATK Augment to fill in the remaining 2 Slots.

Nice builds you are a much better player then I am! My favorite set is built around 3 heaven sent, 3 powder mantle, 3 frostcraft and 1 wind mantle. I have a talisman with 5 evade window, 3 stun resistance and 2-2-2 slots this is a vanity build I know but it dose hit hard you look like a colorful storm going into battle a fun set that has taken into 4 pages of special investigations.

The Skills on the Build are compensating for negative Affinity on the Tigrex & Amatsu LS. So when you use the Gold Rathian or Lucent Narga LS you can adjust them according to the weapon (drop Max Might or some Crit Eye since you would be over 100% Affinity).
G.Rathian & L.Narga are super close in overall Performance now. Just pick wichever you prefer.
i use luna with no sharpness management skills and 1 heaven sent, never drop below white since i often swap scrolls for sacred sheathe

@@rudycontarini2292 I used the normal one cause i had plenty of resources, but the skill+ is totaly fine too! Stuff like wirebug or quicksheath can easily be replaced with a deco if you loose them in the process & you might get slot upgrades along with Frostcraft that way aswell.

I'm not sure what you mean with Skill Tree 🤔 There are no Skill Trees in Monster Hunter. Do you mean the Weapon Tree to upgrade the Weapon to maximum ?

But about the augumentations, the recommended list is clear, just need to make sure we are on the same page I got Powder Mantle Lv 1 but it takes Frenzied Bloodlust to 0, similar was with Slotage. Is this something that I seek or look for augumentation with lower "minus"????
Before i answer your question, a small heads up: New Longsword Builds are actually going live later today or tomorrow 😄Good news though, one of them is literall just an upgrade of the Cozy Cat and doesnt change very much, so you will be able to make that one very quickly if you already have this one.
About your question: You mean you got Powder Mantle as an Augment, but it removed Frenzied Bloodlust ? If so, I definitely recommend trying to get Powder Mantle without loosing Frenzied Bloodlust! The skill has very high value for Longsword! Powder Mantle is also not a very high Tier Augment, so getting it by sarificing something else is pretty much never recommendet. You also just leave PM at Lv 1 & go for something else.

@@CarnageLink Yup, you can literally get any Skill as Augment that is avilable in the drop pool, without sacrificing any other Skill on the armor part. It just happens a bit more rarely depending on the tier of the Skill.

You can get a Critical Eye Lv 3 Charm with good Slots veeery easy now! Just use the Cyclus Melding like i show at the start of the Video. You can get a Charm similar to mine very fast!

A very good question that i see quite alot!
As they're both featured in the last Build here, it's kind of an either or scenario. For allround usage the Tigrex LS will have better flexibillity & more consistant DPS. But if you're fighting something with a Water weakness, or have a playstyle that spams Silkbind Attacks, the Amatsu LS can come out ontop.
(My personal default pick for Raw LS is Tigrex atm)

There is no real Lv recommendation for these Builds. But as you can see in the title & thumbnail, they are built around the Title Update 5. So you will have to atleast be far enough into Sunbreak to access that DLC (post main Story - aka when the real game begins 😄).
For Builds that you can make earlier you should check out the previous Longsword Build Videos on the Channel.
Would it be beneficial to get dragon conversion on this build since it boosts element by a lot?
Longsword has a very good balance of Raw & Element output, so going for a rather expensive skill that only increases Element (like Dragon Conversion) is not ideal for LS.
If you have room to add it into the Build after everything else, you can go for it👍🏽 Otherwise dont go out of your way to get it here.

im using the same builds but with extra mail of hellfire and frostcraft both lvl 3 and for some reason why i am dealing less damage than you and by the way it's the same monsters with the same builds in the video any advise ?
Were you using the right Rampage Decos for the Monsters you were fighting ?
The rest comes down to other mutipliers. Like Spirit Gauge Level, Froscraft Gauge Level, Monster enraged state, buffs from food items like Might Seed etc.

I have a few questions. First of all, why maximize attack and not element on weapon augments for elemental weapons? And why increase Attack boost to max and not Element exploit or Burst on most elemental sets?
Then I was thinking of making elemental sets with at least 1 level of Dereliction and Strife at max (in armor augments, I don't play with Frostcraft), as Strife adds affinity it will free up space for other talents at the same time. Could this be interesting?
Anyway, great video as usual, I'm struggling to make longsword sets at the moment so this is a big help. Thanks and keep it up!

The reason why Elemental Longswords still get augmented for Attack first & then Element at the end is because Elemental Output is different for all Weapon Types. And Longsword is one of the Weapons that has a Raw dominant Damage output. That's why even on Element Builds Raw Attack augment has priority.
The same thing also applies to Elemental Skills like Element Exploit. Alot of those also have deminishing returnds past Lv 1, so they only go higher if you have Slots left over.
Elemental LS Builds with Dereliction Lv 1 or 2 + Strife 2 or 3 definitely work great!
The overall DPS is very similar. The only issue is that some of the most valuable parts that can be used for Elemental LS take up the same spots as some of the best Strife & Dereliction Parts😄
It ends up being a either - or scenario.
I use both Dere+Strife & Frostcraft Builds. The big difference is in the Sheath you want to use. If you only want to use Special Sheath, then go with Dere+Strife.
If you want to use Sacred Sheath or mix both, use Frostcraft.
You can also use both if you have a good enough Talisman^^

How did you get your draconic slash to hit for 5896. I tried making the build with the only tweaks to it being I have a talisman that gives me crit eye 3 and atk 2 but i'm still 2k under on that wake up on rathian. So I'm wondering what extra skills you have in there that got you up to 5800 almost 5900 damage on that wake up.
There are no significant extra Skills aside from what i mentioned at the start of the Video. Wich is Frostcraft at Lv 3. It gives a large boost to both Raw & Element (+30% to both when the Gauge is at max - Great for wake up hits!👌🏽). You can see in the Backgroundfootage that my regular Sacred Sheath combo already has a final hit of around 2.85k on Rathian when she's not asleep. And the modifier when hitting a sleeping Monster is x2. So that already explains my nearly 6k Damage on the sleeping Rathian.
If you have Frostcraft Lv 3 in your Build, but still not getting close to those numbers, let me know. We'll figure out what the issue is & fix it 😊👍🏽
i do have frostcraft 3 in the build but im not anywhere near 5800. i managed to make the same build except i have element exploit lvl 3 and mail of hellfire 2. so im genuinely curious what i could've done wrong here.

The 5.8K wake up hit ofc includes any buffs from items & the spiribird you get in the Arena aswell. But there's definitely something strange going on here if you're DMG is that far off.🤔Your Build also sounds to be very similar to mine, with the only difference that mine has MoH Lv 3 (wich isnt a big deal here), but no Dragon Conversion. Mathematically the DPS should be very similar! Like within a +/- 200 Range when the monster is awake, including item buffs etc.
You're also the only one so far that has run into this problem, wich makes this even stranger 😅
I wonder if its the MoH that's doing it then cause im within 401 of your damage. sitting at 5496 on wake up right after coal proc. the only solution I see to it is MoH 3.
The only thing I find funny is that I tweaked you other builds and made them hit harder but I couldn't seem to do it with this one.@@YokaiNox
what kind of wirebug skills are you using in the video ?
I change the Switch Skills depending on what i'm fighting. But the 2 I always use in general are:
- Drawn Double Slash
- Spirit Roundslash
Everything else will come down to personal preference.
For example I have Special Sheathe & Soaring Kick on one scroll. While I have Sacred Sheathe + Sakura Slash on the other one.

@@charlesboudreaux3292 Yup, that's exactly what i described then 😄That's just the finishing hit from the Sacred Sheathe combo. Just equip Sacred Sheathe, get your Spirit Gauge to Red, Sheathe the LS and let it drain your whole Spirit Gauge, then unleash the Attack.
I tried coping the exact build for cozy cat. Added all the decorations listed but it didn't max out any of them. I'm trying to figure out where it is that I'm doing something wrong
That's more than strange.. 🤔 There's definitely something wrong then.
If you start with the biggest decorations and work your way down in size there's no way you wont get the skills.
Are you sure you're using the right Decorations ?
The only thing i could see is that you perhaps used normal Attack 2 Decos insted of the big Attack+ 4 Decos.
Or perhaps a different Talisman ? (Stun Resistance on my Talisman can be ignored, it's just a bonus sideskill)

Hi! I tried to follow the water build but I may be doing something wrong. It seems I need 6x4 slots to accommodate the H Stream Jewel 4. I managed to slot all except that one . I've gone through the video several times and I do have the same armor and I'm missing another 4 slot Please advise
No worries! I'm pretty sure you're actually doing everything right ^_^ I didnt even notice that, but it seems the "Expert+4" got carried over into that particular Build Overlay from the previous one when i made the Deco List. When you look at the Skills you 'll notice it's not supposed to be there (It would give us Crit Eye Lv "8" 😄 The Build only requires Lv 6) All you need is the 2x Expert 2 Decos. Drop the Expert+ 4 and use that Slot for the H Stream Deco 👍🏽

These are the Parts you wanna use:
For R. Kushala Helm - Use Lunagaron Helm
For R.Teostra Chest - Use Normal Teostra Chest / Or Amatsu Chest
For Virtue Arms - Use Amatsu Arms
For Virtue Waist - Use Rathalos Waist
(Just keep in mind that you'll have to adjust the Decorations according quite a bit.)
Stormsoul is the one other "blessing" skill that boost Thunder and Dragon element, unfortunately it's completely locked to the Narwa and Ibushi armours and level 4 and 5 level up the other skills that are on the armour sets. Kinda wish the made a altered version of the skill that could work like the other blessing skills, call it Storm Surge or All Mothers Blessing and cap it at level 4 with different additional effects.
Indeed. Would be great if we get some kind of substitute for the Blessing that we can incooperate into Builds without necessarily having to use the Narwa & Ibushi pieces.

It'll likely be in the next Fashion Hunter Episode on the Channel. It's made with:
- Kunai Earings
- Buff Body
- Buff Arms
- Azure Star Waist
- Royal Ludroth Legs

Why the risen Teostra gauntlets?
Non Augmented Melee Builds use them alot because of Crit Eye, Master's Touch, great Slotage & the fact that they have Ballistics Lv 1, wich is you can use as fodder when augmenting. Allowing you to get good additional Skills/Slots from augmenting without loosing anything you actually need. They just have great overal potential for Builds that use Master's Touch.
They can be substituted with Risen Shagaru or Amatsu Arms aswell.

I just started sunbreak on ps5 and I notice that while you had your sword sheath u were able to hop back twice without countering.. how da fuck?
It's called "Sacred Sheath" it's a Switch Skill that you'll unlock in Sunbreak wich can replace the "Special Sheath". It will change a few playstyle Mechanics and allow you to reposition while in the sheathed animation.

That's just the effect from Frostcraft when the Gauge is charging. For every Level of the Gauge it will flash like a blue flame.
I actually think Intrepid Heart level 2 is so clutch for sheath playstyle. Sakura Slash will fully charge Intrepid in 2 uses and you can just get a guarenteed hit off plus the free damage from the explosion it gives. Kinda feels like cheating tbh
Definitely. Intrepid Heart is by far one of the most valuable Skills in the game for any weapon type.
