Hey Shimmy, Great educational content and love your vibe. I was curious if you have a video on "Kittl" vs "Placeit" as I can see that "Kittl" seems to have allot of AI tools to help with design and improvement of existing designs. Or is the way forward using the likes of Dall-e 3 or Leonardo etc for design? I'm not long started my POD journey and trying to keep costs low. Thanks
Can anyone tell me how someone just starting out with POD can compete with the huge amount of etsy sellers selling products for prices Ill never be able to compete with? It seems impossible - mugs for example - best ill be able to do is around £14/15 inc postage yet people are selling them for £8.99 free postage? How can anyone compete with that!??
This is a great question. My best answer is simply that you don't compete on price. There will always be someone with a lower price on virtually every item. What you want to focus on is creating quality designs, perhaps adding a personalization element. People will pay premium prices for products that they really love, even if similar items are available cheaper. Hope this helps
@@ADTDesign appreciate that! Just wanted to know if im starting something that inevitably wont ever work due to not being able to compete with prices. Obviously many factors for why it might not work but good to hear that with consistency and effort it is still possible! Thank you!
@@financesmart thank you very much for your reply! Didnt want to sound overly critical or negative of this video and POD as a whole but I was starting to think it would be impossible to compete. Yes the personalization element is something ill very much be doing with some of my items so glad to hear you suggest that lol thanks again for your reply mate!!
Brother I'm really confused about choosing the brand name. Should my brand name be related to the words pod, sublimation? Or crafting? Or something random ?? Actually my store will be a general one. No particular niche. Your valuable suggestion will be really helpful for me
Not that I’m the expert, but I did hesitate for a decade, mostly over branding (why?) decided on basic, simple, and easily said and remembered based on what names I saw on successful shops. The ones on Etsy that seem to do well often have names like CaitlynMinimalist, AcornandCrowStudio, Beadboat1, SeedGeeks. Those are all really successful stores.
@@sycofya1677he says several times it isn't an image generator. It generates tags , descriptions, titles, and concepts from the information you give it and all while highlighting possible trademark infringements. It does everything other than image generation . It will save so much time for anyone doing print on demand. Thank you shimmy this is amazing!!
I have paused my course for the time being as I have something new I’ve been working on for the last year. It’s going to be huge. If you’d like to learn about it first I recommend signing up for my newsletter. Aiming to launch in January.
So hire somone to upload also as far as i know there is a tool that can connect all of your social media so u can upload only once i forgot the name do xD
No problems with the designs; I need an AI app that I can down/upload designs to that will create a title and keywords. I can create a description if I have these. Please help.
In most cases less is more. I’ve never found that with print on demand unless you’re thinning add. But if something is working for you then stick with it for sure
@babyblue7798 I've been at it for almost 2 years and still no sales. I know I need to improve parts of my shop but it is really hard since I am raising my 2 little kids. It has cost me a quite a bit money but I keep hoping I will break through the glass ceiling soon.
I love how passionate you talk about your ideas and projects, and wanted to say how much you motivate me. Thank you Shimmy, you are cool

Hola Shimmy…..Wow ….great idea and concept. congrats……Is this an app, a web site, how is it accessed after purchased
Thanks! It’s part of the research suite which is a web app. The first email gives you the log info and instructions of where to go
Hey Shimmy, what if I don’t have Amazon merch account yet can I just purchased the black Friday offer but it’s not working
yes, you can, for sure. The research suite will still work perfectly for you.

Just be strong upload+1000 designs and the sales will got soon
It’s about consistency and volume. People who are selling mugs for that price most likely are fulfilling them themselves and not via POD

Im just starting print on demand this month. How can I design something unique and can you make videos on creating sellable designs for new beginners?
Yea good idea. I’ll make videos on that! You don’t necessarily have to be completely unique. But you can try and out your own twist on popular designs
@@shimmymorris1 Thanks. How many stores can I create on Teespring? And how many designs can get me sales easily?
Hi,Can we start private label brand with POD business model?Who are the best POD companies for it?
yes for sure. You could use printify, awkward styles, printful, gelato... there's quite a few and I have videos on most of them
Thank you@@shimmymorris1
Are there minimum order quantity level?@@shimmymorris1
Hey shimmy, i was thinking about getting into sublimation printing.... Is there any transfer brands you'd recommend?
It s a year subcsription or lifetime, please mention this important detail in ur landing page
It’s a year subscription. PrettyMerch has never done a lifetime one. But your right I’ll update it

I dont do scaleable designs untill one prooves itself. Thus i easilly do +5 unique designs a week. Dont think 1k designs/week ads value in my nich.
What does this do?
Were you able to watch the tutorial part?
