    Another great video, thanks! If you were starting over again in 2024 and Printify Pop Up was not an option who would you be most likelyt to go with? I am trying to avoid Etsy and Amazon. I would love to go with Printify Pop Up but they are not available in the UK. Printify does not interact with customers so any questions/returns etc would have to go through my business. Whereas, Printify Pop Up handles all the customer service, provides the website and everything (can you tell I'm a bit gutted?). I just have no clue where to turn or what the best option would be
    Any suggestions or advice?

      @@shimmymorris1 I know from my experience that Etsy "hurts" new accounts/new sellers but favours ones that are already doing well. Because *you* know what you're doing, perhaps that hasn't been an issue for you, but it has been for a lot of new sellers. My 2c.

    I found you to be most helpful and straight forward, I am new to all of the online stuff. (Main business is Media Coverage for concerts with a focus of disability inclusion at concerts) I wanted my own merch and then realized the print on demand thing was an option too so I've started adding products to the store that is more broader. Only a few days in, no sales, but I mean thats 100% expected. I started it all in Jan of 2024 and so far have a decent following for my niche, but im still small time so I'm not expecting anything crazy
    Id love some updated videos on marketing, via paid and free/organic. Also tips on the best ways to post to social media sites etc would be nice.
    Thanks for all that you do!

    Amazon turned me down without even seeing my stuff. And I publish on KDP. So saying to just go with Amazon is just a bit disingenous. So many videos out there saying "just do this and make millions" that gloss right over the tricky bits and just list the obvious.

    • @shimmymorris1

      Amazon unfortunately turn a lot of people away. There’s definitely no such thing as “just do this and make millions” it’s all incredibly hard and time consuming.

      I have applied over 50 times. New email addresses, different IP, new amazon account, new phone number, etc. I also sell on KDP, am both an amazon affiliate & influencer and still get denied. They even tell you that if you are an influencer to email them when you apply - still can't get accepted. Meanwhile, other people in groups I belong to with no design experience are getting accepted. It's frustrating as hell.

    • @LoveAndLightGarden
      @LoveAndLightGarden Місяць тому

      Hi! Can I please ask you exactly How do you do it manually if not using Merch Informer? Please share how you research?🙏🏻 I have done research via the government site which is extremely time consuming, not as easy as it might seem. Doing research via Amazon, Etsy and so on manually can be great for some of the research but not all. I ended up purchasing Merch Informer, have had it for 2 months and not sure how I feel about it since I am not selling on Amazon, even though that was my original plan. It seems as I spin in circles, so many voices stating this and that. It’s really a jungle for people just wanting to start print on demand. I for one example was so prepared to learn how to do print on demand with Place It and Merch Informer. But then I found out that Redbubble and Teepublic are not at all happy with people using premade templates even though the designs are being changed, text and slogans being changed or added. Following a few of the bigger UA-camrs that I felt I trusted, took their advice to heart completely, using their affiliate links so that they could make money…. It’s all about “just do this and just do that”…. It’s not at all just! It’s a lot more! Now I feel as someone put sticks in my wheels and I am stuck. I have been an artist my whole life, but I have never done print on demand so I was planning on using Place it to begin with, to learn on the way forward. I signed up for 1 year to be able to relax while learning. I am really worried about even using Place it now with Redbubble and Teepublic as I don’t want my accounts closed and no helping customer service if they have a problem with anything. This has made me spend money + holding me back which frankly in the end makes me sad and frustrated.

  • @wendymaree

    What I think might be a bit of a problem is that the current fashion trend is towards plain fabrics and clothing. If designers could come up with a new innovation to start a new trend, this could kick start more interest and sales.

    Awesome background. Pro videography tip: if you want to REALLY take advantage of different camera angles, look at the side camera. Otherwise you're talking to us then suddenly talking to someone else... figuratively speaking. Besides, looking at the side camera is also more engaging.
