It's more than proved its worth for me mate 👍. It's a fantastic machine and I can't wait to see what it's big brother, the legend can do. Thank you for watching
I know mate, honestly I'm in awe every time I'm on that field. I try to leave it alone sometimes through fear of it running out of the good stuff, but I can't stay away and it never seems to stop giving. Thanks again buddy, appreciate the comments x
Nice shot of an Osprey there Dan.👍👍 What a stunning broach Dan!!! Man that is beautiful.👏👏👏👏And then another great Elizabeth I coin!!!!👍👍As you know I went detecting for teh first time yesterday and it was at a rally. Surface conditions were horrible, like concrete, one lady gave up within 15 mins because she couldn't dig!!! I know you advised to go for teh solid tones, but I needed to dig everything to get feel for sounds and numbers, you know. I had about 40 targets and was really pleased with myself as I found them all (bar one that was just too deep) all trash apart from a Tomback button (exactly like the one you showed in teh round-up, smallish with a dome on the reverse) and half an early horse shoe (so I am told). Some silver was found by others but it was all sixpences, 1900s. So, hard work, but such great fun. I only had two targets that were beautiful tones, solid too. A washer and a bit of aluminum! 🤣🤣
Always best to dig everything when you are first getting to learn your machine mate. That way you can build up a library of the tones, numbers and the item it was, in your head. Always trust your ears on any machine, and try not to rely on the screen too much, just as a guide 👌
Hey Mutley. 👋🏻🤣 Sorry to hear that you had man flu pal!! Shouldn’t you be resting up?? 😲🤣 Oooh, nice big fat Roman Fib! 😲 Then a Roman! 😲 I’m not feeling as sorry for you as I was when I started watching! 🤣😂 That is actually the field of dreams!! 😃 Thanks for sharing, take care and be lucky. 🇬🇧😃👍🏻
You make me laugh out loud on every comment 🤣 😂. I'll have you know it was not man flu lol as you will find out on my latest video. That fibula certainly made me feel better anyway mate, what a stunning piece of history. I'm absolutely massively thankful for the land I have to search on mate, I'm so lucky. Thanks for making me laugh as always mate, and thank you for watching 👀
Your finds are awesome. I wish you could overlay images of your relic finds so we can see what they originally looked like or see their application. Take a peek at the UA-camr Finding America. Besides enjoying your discoveries, we can learn about them as well. I also enjoy your recovering with the Simplex. So many of us are working people and most of us cannot afford the Equinox as is promoted by the majority of UA-cam detectorists. Thank you for sharing your excitement with us and get well soon!
Hi Richard, thank you for watching. I will keep that in mind and see if I can overlay some images and info. If there is anything in particular that you would like to know about in the meantime, feel free to ask. Thank you for watching
Thank you mate, thats the best one I've found yet 👍. They always seem to turn up when you least expect it. Keep swinging mateand you find one soon enough 🤞
Thank you mate, I really love finding fibula brooches, they are one of my favourites. That lizzy is a beauty too. I'm feeling great now thank you 👍, cheers for watching
Awesome hunt Dan that fibula what a thing of beauty and still with a pin just look at the patina well saved. And the Hammered was another beauty with nice details. Definitely a pot leg you found mate I've had a few that size. To me that was a brilliant day for you well done. Until the next one take care stay safe. John
Thank you John, It was a brilliant day, I still can't believe the beauty of that fibula brooch 😲 that green is just stunning. I've had clay pot legs, but that's my first bronze one 👍. Thank you very much for watching as always buddy 😀
Thank you mate. I'm getting better slowly 👍. I actually tested positive for covid the day after filming this video, so that would explain me feeling rough lol 😆
What an amazing day, that Roman Fibula brooch, those coins what the,,, cracking video awesome saves well done Sir Dan 👍🏻 and all with the mighty Simplex. I’m always inspired with your videos Dan. Cheers mate great work 👍🏻
Get well soon mate, thats exactly how I've been feeling in recent weeks. As usual proper dreamy historic land. Roman brooch dream find for me!! Little Queen Elizabeth was in beautiful condition. 100% pot leg! Get well soon mate
Thank you buddy, I actually tested positive for covid the day after that so been feeling pretty rough lol. I'm on the mend now though and hope to be back out this weekend. That roman field just never seems to fail to produce some beautiful artifacts. That brooch and hammered coin are just stunning and definitely my best brooch yet 😍.
Does look like a trade weight to me to buddy. If you weigh it and see if it comes up at a “known weight” then definitely a trade weight. You have it easy you guys, plucking romans off the surface like they where dropped yesterday lol Yess Roman fib ,beauty and on a live. Looked great seeing it come up . Awesome pal. Looked great and then when you cleaned it up I realised my gob was OMG!! 😯😂 One of the best Lizzie hammereds out there that buddy . What a hunt 👨🏻🦯🔥
Never thought of that mate, I'll have to weigh it and look it up 👍. Yea I know mate, it's a hard life lol 😆 but honestly, it comes a lot harder to us when we don't find much. I realise how lucky I am, and I'm very grateful. I'm going to be organising something for my mods here in the summer hopefully and you will be invited, we are going to smash those romans out the ground 🤞. A fibula like that it's a dream find for me and as good as any treasure to me. What a beautiful artifact 😍, I couldn't believe it when it came up. Rang up just like a roman coin too 🤷♂️. And then the lizzy to top it off, one of the best detailed hammered coins I've found 😲. Thank you for watching brother 🙏
Thank you kev mate 👍. It really is a field that just keeps giving. It never fails to surprise me. Feeling better now buddy, thank you and thanks for watching
Great video mate with some awesome finds. I'm collecting my Simplex+ today after work. Can I ask when people call a field their Roman field is that because they've researched into it from years and years ago and know there were Romans there or is it more just because they've found Roman finds on the field. Wondering what my permissions might throw up.
That's great news mate 👍 good luck with your new adventures with a cracking machine. I call it my roman field simply because of the abundance of roman finds that have come up. 50 to 60 roman coins, fibula brooches, a ring and more. So there was obviously some kind of roman activity on that patch. The farmer also mentioned that when he had ploughed deep in the past, he had hit footings and believed there to be a roman villa there. Put the time and effort in mate, and see what you come up with. Just remember to always listen to the tones on the simplex and don't rely too much on the numbers 👍. Good luck
Well done Dan absolutely lovely brooch it’s nice to see the Sp24 doing you proud as usual great video as usual hope you feel better soon keep up the great work mate Quick question Dan do you know Whether the SP 24 coil will Work on the legend much appreciated
Thank you very mate, I appreciate the feedback 👍. That coil has always done me proud and always finds the goodies. Unfortunately the legend is a totally new and unique machine and will only work with its own coils 👍 hope that helps. Thank you for watching
I feel sorry for all those people that spent big bucks on a fancy detector to be out done by a Simplex the price they paid for a top end pin pointer, that includes me. Lol Time to sell my Arsenal of detectors, that will make the wife happy.
I've said it all along lol the simplex is just unrivalled for the price you pay. Is goes deep and it finds everything. I can't wait to see what it big brother the legend can do.
Отличный коп!💯👍
Удачи!
Thank you very much 😊

Heard this machine nose heavy guess smaller makes it lighter more balanced .
It's pretty well balanced in my opinion 👍, but yes the sp24 (smaller coil) makes it slightly lighter 👍😁
