Yeah, weight painting can be intimidating to beginners because they often bite off more than they can chew. I wanted to keep things small-scale to ease everyone into it.
Hi, you have nice tutorial. i have a question. I dont know if i understand correctly but the steps are 1. create rig for the character, 2. add accesories, 3. add weight paint to the accesories, 4. parent the accesories to the main rig. Is that correct?
@@ArmouredAvian i am talking about generaly, what are the steps about adding accesories in a character. i didn't saw these tutorials yet. thank you for your time!
In that case yes, your steps are correct. You should already have a character rig, if you watch part one it will show you how to acquire a character pack. Part 3 will show you in more detail how to transfer weight paint onto a piece of clothing or accessory.
It's a very touchy subject. There is a risk but it seems like nobody cares "Currently". There's a UA-camr called Hoot who makes SFM videos with MW2 & Rainbow Six assets, and he has millions of views with no issues. For me, I want to use this stuff for Comics / Concept Art which means it's just for reference which I will draw/paint over.
Very detailed series.
The attention to detail in this series is great. I get weight painting a lot better now.

And this is for 100% free... What a legend, dude!
Honestly this is how 99% of game development is done, they rarely make meshes from scratch
Great stuff! When is the next part coming with with DAZ and Blender posing etc?
It'll come out around -Late January.- But if you're interested watch the Taste Burger Time Lapse to get an idea of what I be covering in detail.
OK cheers! Looking forward to the next one…
very usefull, thanks for your work
Where are the models from?
They look awesome!
If you go to Part 1 and use the SFM: MadIvan18’s Page: Link, you will find all information about the models in that workshop page's description.
Why do you hate rim lights? :)
Because it is an abomination to mankind

Are you talking about ths stages in this video in particular, or Part 1 to Part 6 in the series?

What's the license when doing this? I imagine you can't use these in your own projects, especially for profit?
