my dear u dont have to take your antibiotics at exactly 8h intervals, we usually advise breakfast lunch dinner for convenience >
omg my dentist told me to make sure to take them at exact 8hr intervals even if it meant having to wake up in the middle of the night! 😤
@@dearnessie For antibiotics: you should take it at the same time each day to avoid creating antibiotic resistant bacteria.
I had 4 of my wisdom teeth removed at the hospital last year and was told to take antibiotics (same one as Nessie) every 6 hrs. The reason is to numb the pain before it begins. If you wait for the pain before taking the meds, then good luck lol

My experience.
I didn’t eat well before the surgery since my anxiety had gotten the best of me making me super hungry.
Day of Extraction- ate two apple sauce cups and two pudding cups with pain meds and antibiotics. Struggled to eat some soup. But managed to eat over half of it and got scared to sleep.
Day Two- Diet was the same, except I had way less to eat since I felt sick and more anxiety filled for no reason.
Day Three- Which is today, half an entire pudding cup, had a few bites of icecream, an entire bowl of mashed potatoes, and had some grits that got stuck into my sockets. Not fun. And some soup! Felt sick and had diarrhea, and also had a huge headache.

decided to watch a video while recovering from the surgery myself... and I feel so bad now, I only got out two at first and my face is like a pillow... meanwhile here she is having fun just on the 3rd day....
I'm in my second week of recovery and teeth still hurt and I can't really chew still so, don't worry, you're not alone !

Watch this two weeks ago before my surgery appointment, and rewatching again after my surgery yesterday to add comment. Tips on swelling : I put on ice and wet cloth for 24hrs around the area so it was so much better.

I had to get five teeth out four wisdom teeth and 1 molar (because it was infected) I also had to get my tongue tie fixed and I couldn’t eat anything first day and day two I ate yogurt but had to make it more liquidity with milk because using spoons are terrible so I drank yogurt currently on day 2

I also had six teeth that needed to be taken out (four wisdom teeth and two molars that came in extra behind the wisdom teeth), although my experience is slightly different in that i had one wisdom tooth taken out four years ago since it was an issue only then and it wasn’t needed to take out the rest of them. I just had the other five teeth taken out last week and it honestly really was not that bad! I’m already back to normal even though the teeth were all impacted and very high up in my gums and the swelling is all gone. The surgery itself was also very alright, they used general anesthesia, so I was asleep during the procedure. It happens before you know it and all of a sudden it’s over and you can go home. It’s so true that there’s literally nothing anywhere on the internet concerning extra teeth! I was also very worried but now I can tell you that it’s really not that bad and way way better than what I was expecting. Hopefully this is relevant to you and it helps still and if not then hopefully someone else sees this and it helps them (:
My experience so far - hope this helps anyone getting their wisdom out
Day 1- Monday - Eat a big meal before surgery. tooth extracted by general aesthetic at 10am. Didn’t hurt, wasn’t in any pain. Lots of tugging and felt like a grown man ripping my cheek apart! (Literally) took around 30mins to extract 1 tooth. No pain just VERY uncomfortable and lots of pressure.
I took pain killers an hour after surgery as pre caution. Bleeding from the stitches didn’t stop for 6 hours after surgery- went back to the dentist, they checked it and said it’s nothing to worry about. REMEMBER to use a WET gauze for 30mins & then leave the gauze out and see if it clots on its own. Worked for me
I managed to eat some soup cooled down, water, yogurt. I took pain killers every 4 hours as per caution. Got sore throat and face started to swell that evening. Used ice on cheeks. The bleeding went down during the night on its own. Didn’t get any sleep- slept upright, which was very uncomfortable.
Day 2- Tuesday- cheeks are very swollen! Sore throat but no pain. Got a slight fever, used wet cold towel on my head throughout the day.
I still had blood taste in mouth but no active bleeding..
I ate porridge, rice pudding, ice cream, soup and sipped on lots of water throughout the day. Hurts to swollen due to sore throat. Been taking pain killers every 6 hours through out the day. I managed to brush some of my teeth very carefully, Avoiding the site of extraction . (This made me feel better)
sleep was better than the night before but still uncomfortable & kept waking up. Slight pain 4/10 at night.
Day 3 - Wednesday - throat is very sore. Fever has gone down. Got headache. Bad taste in mouth. Brushed teeth carefully as much as I could. Done salt and water rinse (check on UA-cam how to) Swelling still same as yesterday.
She creates a positive vibe everywhere..I feel happy whenever I watch her vlog ..
Yes, I was expecting a whole new meal as well. I didn’t think that it would just be the sauces that are new. But it was still good! 💜
Our poor baby! But you toughed it out and made us a great vlog, anyway. So glad you're feeling better. I think that automatic clothes shopping was done with RFID tags on the clothing. The scanner actually sends them enough power wirelessly for them to report back the price, etc. of each item. Very cool! We love our Nessie! 💜 🦷 🏀

Wow ur healing was quick! I got 2 wisdom teeth out back in feb, and took me a week to eat harder foods! And the meds made me super sleepy i would take naps every day for the week of healing😂

Ohhh recovery Nessie, even killing it at wisdom teeth! I remember when I had mine out, all four at once and two were impacted. I needed pain relief for about a week and a half, and they were so strong I felt like I was high! My days consisted of sleep, chocolate yogo and watching Dr Phil 😂😂😂 maybe the anti-inflammatory helped to reduce your swelling? My face was SO round and I bruised quite badly… or maybe I am just a sook 😅
HAHAHA I’m still wondering why I didn’t swell up like everyone else! 💀 Perhaps it was the anti-inflammatory pills? 🤔

I have memories of when I got my wisdom tooth extracted. So good for you got all 4 in one go. Me since I can't handle much blood loss, I have to wait for another month for my second tooth to be removed. So I have to go in two surgeries. I still have the upper one not removed yet. Yesss do it girl! I was super nervous too and put it off for over a year but it was much less scary than I thought it would be! 🙈💕
I got all 4 of mine out and I was really nervous about the aftermath of it all because so many people said it was difficult. Honestly, it wasn't as bad as I thought! Just lots of soft foods, pain killers & antibiotics and a hot compress for the swelling and aching. I healed within a week! You'll be okay girl 💓

What was hard for me after wisdom teeth removal is to keep your mouth clean. I couldn’t brush my back teeth because I was afraid I would touch the wounds by a brush and let them bleed again. So I had only liquids that don’t stick to my teeth and can be washed by mouth rinse during a few days after the surgery. Actually that was the best way to loose weight so far😆 haha
I'm also struggling with washing my mouth cause I tend to brush my teeth too strongly and the product to rinse is incompatible with toothbrush (which I found kinda stupid)

your recovery seemed so well & fast. im on my 1st day rn & its only been 6 hrs. my cheeks are superr swollen, i havent had anything to eat so im hella hungry. it hurts to swallow & i dont have my gauges anymore since its jus not as much bleeding as in the beginning. & i really want to eat solid foods but i cant. 😭😭😭
Had my molar extracted and bone graft done 6 days ago. You ate almost everything after days 2, meanwhile I still gulping my soup n porridge till now... wkwkwkwk indeed very brave & strong nessie ...

I was kind of lucky because I had only 3 I needed to remove (didn’t have a 4th), and all of them were impacted. I chose to stay awake for it because I heard it takes longer to recover from for some reason. It did seem to prove true though because I got mine removed at the same time as my sister (same age), but she chose to be asleep during it and she felt much more dizzy and nauseous I think, and she felt pain for much longer. I did feel a bit of pressure while they did it (numbed with a shot to the gum-really hate needles but I managed to do it), but it wasn’t too bad just kind of a weird sensation. So to people who hate getting shots in your mouth, I still recommend being awake instead of getting knocked out; generally I’m a really big scaredy cat but I survived, and I do think it’s the better option!! I would recommend people to get them removed as early as possible because it hurts more and takes longer to recover the older you are. I remember a lot of classmates in high school had it done senior year I think, but I had mine removed in college. And make sure you use the pipette thing they give you to thoroughly clean the extraction sites if you don’t want to get an infection!! I didn’t have a problem at all, but my sister kind of forgot to do it sometimes but luckily nothing had happened. But when I read about what happens when it gets infected it sounded really terrible, so definitely be careful!! This was fun to watch; thanks Nessie!!
