    I love this Leaf razor,it’s the best razor I’ve ever purchased! If you want the most comfortable shave with no irritation you have to get this razor!

    I bought the starter package several months ago. I have other razors in my rotation, but I use this anytime I’m in a hurry and just want a quick 2-pass shave. Gives me a nice close and comfortable shave. I wish the knurling was more pronounced as it can feel a little head-heavy at times especially with the fairly long handle. You also have to get use to the pivot to really make use of it. If you don’t (as I did), the blade will dig in and cause some serious razor burn. Once you get used to the razor, it will reward you with a really enjoyable shave.

    I’m a straight and DE shaver, but the Leaf is the best razor I have ever used on my head, and I’ve tried every cartridge and other type of razor on the market. 👍🏻👍🏻

    I use the leaf loaded with 3 x featherblades all the time for my head (I don't clean shave my face) . It's fantastic. I have loads of others and just keep going back to this. The way it pivots sorts the lumps and bumps on your head that I found DE shaving doesn't without LOTS of practice. I would say don't bother with the blades that come from Leaf, they were rubbish for me, buy Astra's or Feathers. Match made in heaven after that. Only downside is it's tough around the ears to get close but once you learn you're rolling.

    Nice razor, damn that looks like a weapon nevermind a razor haha. Nice. It's like a combination of an oldschool razor with modern in terms of design, with the disposable razors and pretty slick looking too I must say. If you sawed off the top part holding the razor, you'd have a perfect pocket slingshot haha. I like the screw tightening option, that's cool. Also, I like how they gave you some accessories too. And Nice rise in subs man. Last time I checked out your sub count it was like 900 around there. You should have way more I'm sure you'll rise even higher. Nice, perhaps I'll check out the leaf. I don't have super sensitive skin but I do notice I tend to get razor cuts sometimes doing my sideburns and on occasion on the neck, I tend to irritate it a little. Sometimes it may get a tad red, but not super red on my neck area. But great vid man. Very informative.

    Wondering how often you need to replace the blades? I also believe disposable razors are able to be sharpened as well, but at the cost it’s probably not necessary.

    • @30DayReviews
      @30DayReviews  4 роки тому +1

      Hey sorry for the delay in response. Id say it really depends on how often you shave and how thick your hair is just like any razor it all depends however for me if i wanted really sharp blades id change it about once a month, however realistically i changed them about every month and half to two months. you cant really sharpen them but you can strop them in one direction and can also flip them over if you wanted them to last even longer however for the price you might as well just change the blades.

    Do you have to buy the blades from leaf or will old fashioned razor blades do the trick after they are broken in half. Mind you, I never considered breaking them in half, so don’t know how clean the break would be, and would that impact how it fits.
    You said somewhere you change the blades every month or a couple of weeks. Compared to disposable razors that’s fantastic, but are there other considerations and conditions that make them last that long for you. How long would you estimate blade changes if one is just shaving their face; primarily chin and mustache area.
    Finally, how do the 3 blades compare to 5 blade disposable razors? If they dint compare to 5 blades then maybe leaf should make a 5 blade version.
    I like the environmental savings due to all metal and a handle that would last years. Are the blades recyclable as metal or do they need to be sent somewhere.
    Finally, what’s the best method of care for the handles and to keep the blades bacteria free.
    Thanks.

      ok so I'm going to answer these the best I can lol You had some great questions thanks for asking them.
      First yes you can just snap any DE razor in half. check out my video on how to set up the leaf to see how. one side may have a bit of a bend but I have never found it to be an issue as when you tighten it down it will all sit right. but the key is to make sure it seats where it's meant to correct if it doesn't flip it over and it should.
      ua-cam.com/video/Q233najDfPE/v-deo.html
      I tend to let blades go longer than really needed as my hair isn't too hard on them this may or may not be your experience. It also depends on how sharp you like your blades to be. as far as how long could the blades last well that all depends on your hair and what you consider dull.
      The hole 5 blade and id even say the 3 blade is all mostly a sales thing as we live in a world where more is better right. so 3 is plenty personally I think 5 is just asking for more skin irritation the truth is you can only get so close to the skin the more blades means that sure each blade may be taking a little more of the hair but its still spread out over the same distance as the 3 blade is. at least that's how I look at it.
      If you buy the kit it comes with a blade bank once it's full you can take it to a recycler or put it in with your normal recycling no need to send them someplace.
      for sanitation, you can just follow the instructions on how to clean a de razor and that would apply to the leaf as well
      ua-cam.com/video/v2Q_HSYMNL8/v-deo.html
      hope this all helps and if you have any more questions let me know id to be happy to answer anything I can.
      also if you buy one let them know you watched my videos. Id also like to know if you pick one up

    I prefer DE safety razors. This one is too close to a cart. One bonus is, you have a huge choice of blades (all DE blades) and they are extremely cheap. The price of the "Leaf" is debatable, compared to a standard safety razor.

    • @30DayReviews
      @30DayReviews  4 роки тому +3

      what do you mean by to close to cart? definitely a plus that you have all the DE options to choose from. Yea when comparing the price of a standerd safety razor this is much more expensive but I think that when you compare it to a what Most people currently use today you have a great argument about the price over a lifetime with this VS one of those. I am actually supervised about the price of this. Not that its expensive but that its cheaper.. this is very well built with allot taken into account and allot of delicate (during manufacturing) parts that if i was to see this on a store shelf id expect it to be Much more.

    • @Juraberg
      @Juraberg 4 роки тому

      @@30DayReviews I support all your arguments. It certainly is a good rquality azor. I am not saying it is not worth the money. Fact is, you could buy a very good standard safety razor for less than half of the price, if you wish ( e.g. Edwin Jagger, Mühle, Merkur).
      If you want to compare it to all the money spent for overpriced cartridges, then you could even buy a high end safety razor like "Timeless" or "Blackland" and you would still end up saving money over time.
      For my personal liking the "Leaf" is to similar (to close) to shaving like with a cart razor. I prefer the more traditional safety razors. But that's just me.
