Really they are in the edge of being a major disruptive force on the grid. Ollie could win a championship and HAAS is foolish if they don’t give it to him.
The biggest problem is who they pair with him. Ocon definitely shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near the kid. K-Mag doesn’t want to teach a rookie, but I’d rather keep him around for the last year of the current regs for continuity’s sake. Bottas would be an excellent option, but who knows what or where he will end up.

At our Montreal hotel this year for F1, they sat him next to my wife and I at breakfast and the waitress had no idea who he was, saw a 19 year old alone and was very slow in serving him and he said nothing for a very long time. It was clear to us that he was quite hungry and could wait sit there forever because he had to get to the track. So my wife and I spoke with the waitress and sped up his service. I am sure next year as an F1 driver he will have an entourage but you do not get that as a reserve driver.

About time to extend KMags contract. As of now, he is the biggest asset the team has remaining and considering his efforts and commitment, is responsible for about half the teams points.
Magnussen has scored 7 points over the past 2 years, Hulkenberg 31 in a year and a half. He lost 28-14 to Hulkenbreg '12-3 this season' in qualifying and 21-13 '11-3 this season' in the races so far. When you take into account Hulkenberg's 3 years on the sideline, plus the fact Magnussenmakes stupid contacts, extending his contract seems unlikely.

Haas, I hope you see the overwhelming amount of people criticizing your team for the possible rumor that you may be signing Ocon. Why you would do that after just picking up Bearman is unbelievable. I’m afraid you have now sealed your fate. Wow, you now have a driver with all the potential in the world and you’re going to jeopardize that by having Ocon as Bearmans first ever F1 teammate. Definitely going to be an interesting next couple seasons.
