The day I got engaged to the woman who became my wife she played this song on the drums while me and the rest of the crew played it on guitars and bass. I couldn't believe my woman could play the drums! But she had 8 years of lessons that I didn't know about, and I was one of the lead singers in our band. She started playing Wipe Out flawlessly and I instantly felt my heart melt! I proposed that afternoon, and we have been married happily over 27 years now! So every time I hear this song being played my mind instantly takes me back to late November in 1995 to that day! Loved it, Ladies and gents! Y'all are awesome.❤

Whilst they are clearly a great band, this is a long way from a true live recording, there's clearly a huge amount of editing and post production, (and possibly track addition replacement) applied to these recordings. The vocal sound and levels don't reflect the choice of mic and placement we can see in the video.

WELL DONE. I was in a local band back in the late 60's up in Canada. It was called Dedicated Choice. We did do wipe out and before the song ended we would walk off the stage and leave the drummer up there by himself to continue playing the solo.. WE WOULD FINALLY GO BACK UP ON STAGE BEFORE HE RALLY DID WIPE OUT. How i miss it .
Really great performance. I watch this whole show at least once a week in the MLT Club. 28 great songs as good as this one. Absolutely incredible talent and they're always having fun. Everyone is a standout in this one but my favorite part is Mona's harmony fills singing "Mr. Postman" just perfectly. So cool.

That's such an electric performance and Lisa and Mona are so charismatic I think if I'd been at the Cavern Club that night I would've been like a 12 year old girl watching the Beatles at Shea Stadium.

I love the beatles version too, but they referenced the marvelettes version, not the beatles.
