The architecture is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen
Kazan mosque domes stolen by the fucken Peter Tsar after invasion of Kazan and mass murder of the Muslim Tatars.
May Allah put him the lowest level of jahanam.
St. Basils cathedral and Red Square were the reason i visited Russia in 2018
I was lucky to visit Moscow when there was nothing going on in St Basils and I was able to go inside. It's truly beautiful.
Why is Russian architecture so beautiful
Talented people.
Because of byzantium influence in 10 th century in russia. after the fall of constantinople russian empire is considered as an third roman emperor
@@ajomorly9467 this architecture was born from fusion of byzantium, milanese and slavic cultures. That's the reason, why it's so unique
Because they are more advanced then OTHER countries

Thank you for your so beautiful tour 💖 God bless you 😊
What a lovely tour guide. :)
The first time I got goosebumps watching a building was now. That cathedral is incredible. Like something straight out of a fairly tale.
Luv luv luv her accent! Beautiful guide!!
The Cathedral is beautiful but the chick is pretty beautiful as well
what a lovely cathedral…. Russia has such mystic and beauty
Damn, the Red square is so beautiful. Really want to visit it some day.
This beautiful church should have been a seven wonders of the world.
: Thank you very much! Awesome video! Good job! 😊👍
Loved this video. It was recommended by my Architecture History and Design professor. I gotta say.. I enjoyed it very much!
Love your video! большое спасибо вам!
its so beatiful....
This is the #1 place I've wanted to visit since I was a kid. This tour will do for now, thank you!
I went there a few years ago and it was really cool XD good video!
Wow beautiful happy Christmas 🎉
So pretty ! So very beautiful! I'm talking about the woman!
Thank you very much for your kind guidance. I hope I will one day visit St Basils Cathedral and the Redsquare. I love Russian art and literature. Greetings from Istanbul to Moscow..
Take a long breath👍🤣
St Basil is my most favorite building of all.
so colorful! 🌈
To be honest your voice is so attractive
I saw a picture of this place in a book when I was a kid and I just flipped. I thought it was the coolest building I had ever seen. I'm still fascinated with it today. When I see it, I hear either Stravinsky's "Petrouchka" or Prokofiev's "Troika" playing inside my head.
Sometimes Borodin's polevetzian dance number 2, known to American ears as "Stranger in Paradise"
A magnificent building and very old from what I have heard ✌
This video uploaded 3 years back but I'm watching 2021 🤣🤣👍 nice vide thank u
ooohhh, i learned something from you, red is beautiful in russian...well you are red too!
Thank you for all your time and effort in bringing St Basil's Cathedral to the attention of all. Much appreciated.
It seems completely timeless. Something, maybe, worth considering as the eighth wonder of the world.
very nice
The tour guide did a great job shes sooo pretty. I want to visit Red Square one day I'm in north america but heritage goes back to Europe. But the video reminds me of home.
Bynzatine heritage love from Pakistan
I like russia and russian people .I visited there in 2018
Russia is a great country.
I beg to differ 😅. The law enforcement there dose nothing. Crime rates are sky high and women have to dress a certain way if they don’t want to get assaulted
wow when this video was made it was 4 days before my birthday
Magnificient Moscow and very nice explanation by Vera. I love her videos of Russia. helped me a lot to prepare my 19 days trip starting on 1st August. Video and audio quality is perfect and so is English. Cheers and all the best. Hope more people watch your videos (uploads).

I love video
10:15-The old fountain over you right shoulder, does it still work in the summertime. I saw it flowing in a video of the original Victory Day parade in 1945. Would be nice to still see it in operation again.
6 years? That's quite quick indeed O,o. Especially if you think about buildings like the Sagrada Familia in Spain, which was started in 1882 and is still not finished.
I love the roofs of the towers though. They look like candy! :D There is something similar in the south of Germany, but they are made from all copper.
This is interesting. The inside is not as overloaded with gold as many European catholic cathedrals are, but rather quite colorful. I like it!
I'm surprised Vera touched the painted wall. I guess they aren't as pedantic about those things in Russia?
That ice cream sure looks nice. As a bonus, it won't melt in your hand since it's cold outside! :D
Oooh! That sounds delicious! I'll keep that in mind if I ever get around to visiting Moscow. Thanks for the tip!^^
I ate the ice cream today! It was very good!
It is a great marvel of Russia and of the world
The russians are good at getting things done.
I like the view of those towers' roofs too & agree they look like candy. However though, I read in wikipedia that when they were first build, the 9 churches that form the cathedral were first not connected, made of white stone and their roofs were covered with gold. I.e. more expensive but not as much clearly visible patterns. Any one know some more about this?
I really like this cathedral. In the one life after people st. Basil's cathedral vid my comments are about how if the cathedral was destroyed the world would end
классный
She a funny angel lol
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Saint Drew loves you
This is part of my Ancient family history. It was my Bhagwan Sri RamdevPir Chitroda family dynasty and direct lineage that paid for St Basil’s Church to be built. In Gujrat India it is celebrated by The Bandani Turbin. This is exclusive to only Indian Hindu Gujarati people it is not Rajasthani as all fabric fashions are exclusively made in India Hindu Gujarati people that have been selling this memory for over a thousand years now. The Bandhani is my official symbolism of sainthood and Imperialism it is dedicated to my self and celebrated by millions of Hindu people. It’s truly beautiful and I will acknowledge my Russian Hindu Christian path and celebrate the memory of your KGB saint Alexander Litvinenko. Muswell Hill was a memorable place for me and my family even today whilst I went to school meters away from where he lived. My mother enjoys feeding the Children of Muswell Hill at school it’s a truly amazing recollection of ancient history to later be summarised up in a Book of StBasil Red Square Church. 🙏🏽@🕉🤘🏽🔺🟢🟨🔷
In six years? I thought it was continuously added on to for many years or do you mean just the st. basil section I know they named each section or each cathedral something different. They call the whole structure st. basil cathedral because that’s what it’s become most well known for after Ivan place him there, so I think that’s why I’m confused. I’ll most definitely visit here if I ever go to Moscow, or if we’re even aloud to in the future with all this pandemic stuff.
Why St.Basil????
It should be actually St.Vasily
It's the same. Василий (Vasiliy) is the Russian form of name Basil. Basil is more understandable for English speakers.
The same reason why in Russia we say "Elizaveta II", not Elizabeth
Only Jesus ❤️❤️
I thought that the Russians were more generous in serving ice cream. 😎
the top dome of onion shape with color spin and arrangement help light ambient formula can be applied in electronic and magnetic polarization and electrical system
Can you rebuild the same exactly like this holly masjid at Jawa island of Republik Indonesia ?
Is it st basil with a soft a or a hard a? I am so confused.
I hope that one day the world will entire another quiet period, and hopefully in my lifetime. I would very much like to attend liturgy in each of the chapels that still host the divine service, since I know that St. Basil's is still a museum and I don't know what implications that carries. I do not understand Russian, and I do not have a gift for learning languages, but how could I not want to see every one of my Lord's houses?
I’m part Russian but my family moved to America, I’d kill to visit Russia since it looks so beautiful
One day we will make it back there without killing lol
Maybe lol.
Do they still have mass there or is it more of a museum now?
There's 8 churches inside
I came for St Basil's but I stayed for the ice cream
Hey, so I have a huge presentation at the end of the year, and I am hoping to talk about St. Basil's Cathedral's architecture and history. Could you guys tell me the main things I should mention or some interesting facts I could talk about
Ahh ahh
We can shout KIROV REPORTING!!!
Otlichno
🏃🏃🏃🏃🔁
Dazzling! I would disagree that it's "Russian architecture", I rather see it as one of the most eclectic ecclesiastical structures EVER! I mean, those towers, the colors, the break with a Byzantine tradition, it's truly unique! Also, a question for Russian brothers and sisters - here, in Serbia, we say that you guys eat ice cream in the winter and drink hot tea in the summer. so, is it true? Sposibo bolyshoy!
I didn’t know they built the tetris building in real life
Blood massacre death possibly oh yeah, beauty...that too...
Castor Red what?
Russia is some of the most blood-soaked soil on the face of the earth.
@@Emper0rH0rde Every country has it's bloody soil.
2:05 Кросивому зиккурату - шикарный забор! Что за серая фигня?
St Basil's cathedral is very beautiful and relatively small with 8 separate churches inside. The attendants allow you to roam about inside without any supervision and they don't mind you touching the paintings on the walls. Each church is very small consisting and a pair of saloon type doors behind which will be an altar etc. If you are going to Red Square then you must visit St Basil's if you can. Unfortunately a visit cannot be guaranteed while in Moscow because being a very religious country there are a lot of religious days and you may not be able to visit it. A good presentation but the music at the start was annoying.
It's ironical that once the fortress of militant atheism has now become a "very religious country".
@@nimkati5627 Atheists are not militant. The only thing which defines an atheist is they do not believe in gods.
@@321scully My point was not that all atheists are militant. My point was that Soviet policy towards religion was that of militant atheism, involving destroying churches, executing priests and putting believers into prisons, forced labour camps and mental hospitals.
"They don't mind you touching the paintings on the walls"
They really should mind. The oils and sweat from your fingers will damage them over time.
Also, when it comes to religious days, what if you're an orthodox Christian who wants to attend a service? Do they allow that?
you see Scarlet and Basil oh yeah i see. And where is Ivan? Which one? The one that can be seen from the bridge. Ze bruja manos arriba! you see you see! ningunas problemas simplementisimo venceremos.

St. Basil’s Cathedral is actual a Kazan Mosque, moved from Kazan. Since I was small I always wondered why it looked so Islamic.
yup..it's true.
It is true I know about it
False . St Basil cathedral was built by Tsar Ivan IV as a Russian Orthodox Church between 1551-1560. The oldest mosque in the entire Russia is the Marcani Mosque built only between 1766-1770 & it doesn’t even have a dome. Most Russian Orthodox Church have a characteristic onion shape dome. Where did you get that misleading information?
moskow is mosque, and endless world russian people is muslim
It looks Islamic only if you don't know that this architecture evolved from the architecture of Byzantine. Muslims borrowed domes and other features from Byzantine, but fundamentally there is nothing islamic about it.
MS IAM AHMED ISMAIL GIVE ME MY 5 MARKS

5 marks?? What you mean?
???
this's mosque at before cathedral
Its church and always will be ✝️🙏💒❤
No wrong information
Starting from 6:00m. really speaking toooo fast! (or maybe reading)
Former mosque!
Your proof before you mislead people
@@mercurygavan9450 Truth always somehow makes it way out. The king who took it from was extremely attracted to those Muslim's architect. So he couldn't break it. He converted to a cathedral. I forgot the name of the muslims from whom the ruler snatched it from.
@@maesua4425 dude
Please
I mean no offence
But that's a lie and its a cathedral and was never a mosque
So please
STOP
@@fatherstalin1727 lol...of-course "it's a lie" ;)
Ivan the Terrible destroyed the mosque and built the current St. Basil's cathedral in place of it.As an act of repentance to such a heinous act, the Russian government rebuilt the mosque in 1996 in the Kazan Kremlin and its look is decisively modern.
This didn't age well.
Someone get this woman an inhaler please!
Thats good practice, I hope you can improve and be more professional and....better. other than that, unwatchable!!!
My gosh her inhales after each sentence are unbearable...
Russian architecture is heavily derived from Byzantine architecture of Constantinople and Muslim architecture of Central Asia. Russians don’t actually have an architectural style of their own
@Wilhelm Otto Dusseldorf Just like their cuisine, they are a very poor country. No culture, no identity
Какого черта это русская земля, и вы уже можете говорить по-английски.
Beautiful place but with poor filming lady sucked ... could not understand much of her English
What are you talking about? The filming was just fine, the woman presented this very well, and her English was perfect. You don't know what you're talking about. You couldn't even write one sentence in English properly, yet you criticized someone else's English? Her English was excellent, and you're a moron.
