I have visited Moscow 4 times from Australia, without a doubt my favorite city in the world, this cathedral was not finished on my last visit so looks like i will have to visit again !

I love this cathedral so much. The way it mixed modernism with classical architecture is ingenious. The profound meaning and the homage that it pays the Russians who sacrificed their lives in WW2 is on another level. This is the type of architecture that people will marvel at for thousands of years. It's a modern day pyramid of Giza or Acropolis.
It's nice because we don't get to see a beautiful mix of modernism and classical architectures. Most buildings look rather dull to the point where a place like NYC, Chicago or Philadelphia could look like almost any other city if it was not for what's left of their landmarks
So beautiful. It makes me want to come to Russia but idk if it's possible right now. The architect who designed it is a genius

It is most certainly possible, flights still exist from Turkey and visas are still issued, the only problem will be a 1-4 hour long quesitoning upon arrival

@@quik478 Was not a problem. Maybe it's because I have visited Russia A LOT and live the United Arab Emirates. I used to go there about 4 times per year on business trips before the war.

This is a product of beautiful faith and a sign of a high culture, it seems russia is slowly but surely climbing back to its golden place in history, may other countries follow the example and create great works for the Glory and worship of the lord and the service of their nations.
Russia is not christian. Look up statistics! Abortion rates, divorce rates, church attendance etc. This is just facade.

O my goodness - what a lovely walk! The memorial park and the Cathedral took my breath away! What a tribute to the Russian Armed Forces. The Mothers of Winners statue was beautiful. To walk inside and see the tears - so poignant. The relief work at the base of the Cathedral was so life like. But what was so exquisite was inside the Cathedral. The lower Cathedral with all of the mosaics was stunning! The blue hues sparkling and the red and gold hues of the upper Cathedral - all I can say is WOW! Thank you so much for sharing this walk today!

Wow! So amazing! A new building that has the style and look of an ancient one with so much stunning art and detail, but with modern materials and technology. Such an awesome place of worship and a beautiful tribute to the nation’s culture, military, and history. It has a very ethereal, warm, and heavenly feeling inside of it. I can only imagine how stunning it must be to actually physically be there inside it in person.
Christian brothers, I welcome you from Russia! May the Lord protect you! Perhaps someone wants to learn more about Orthodox culture and about Russia, but does not know Russian, but knows English. We have an American living in Russia with his family and he is an Orthodox priest here. His name is Joseph Gleason, he has a whole website in English where he talks about Orthodoxy and about life in Russia! I think someone will be interested in it! It’s interesting that this cathedral is made of steel, not stone. Very befitting to the military cathedral, indeed. The overall style is an amalgamation of Byzantine and Scandinavian styles, which in many ways is what Russian culture is an heir of (The Third Rome concept). I also find it extremely interesting and a positive sign that within this cathedral the Soviet symbols find their place, as Russia now accepts its history in its continuous entirety, despite the many external efforts to force Russia into rejection of its History. To sum it up, I would say that Russia is healing and on the track to its complete resurrection as a global cultural, military, technological and economic power, although it will take time to get to where Soviets once were.

All of the design we are looking at is metal filigree? Not carved wood?
@@Natangz Yup, metal, and some carved granite here and there. But mostly the metal. The intriguing fact is that the stairs and floor metal tiling is molded from the melted German tanks and ammo, captured during WW2.

This an amazingly beautiful place. The main Cathedral was I think my favorite of all! I adore the icons and murals, the mosaics are exquisite!! Just as awesome is the paint on the piers , it changes color.. the colors are stunning.

This is one of the most beautiful things i have ever seen in my life. Thanks for recording this. I will go here one day for sure. про постаменты с гильзами надо было написать, что в гильзах от пушек земля с могил и братских захоронений солдат, и каждая тумба с определённой военной операции, а не просто "постамент с гильзами"
а съёмки - хорошие, поставил галочку вверх :) , ещё в прошлом году хотел вам посоветовать сделать такие, и обзоров храма тогда было во-первых мало, но и сейчас не так уж и много, а во-вторых ну не получилось у тех кто старался, хорошо сделать, а у вас получилось медленно, качественно, без лишней суеты, действительно хорошая работа, хотя и нет предела совершенству :) , но не буду тут писать о мелочах

absolutely exquisite architecture, the attention to detail is impeccable. The mosaics in the cathedral shine like jewels, It's breathtaking!!! I don't think I've ever seen a cathedral with so much detail and thought process, even the floors are exquisitely designed!
Absolutely stunning. Wish all of Europe would embrace their Catholic and orthodox faith as does Russia now with theirs. Truly a monument for the ages to unite a country.

Надо было снять в темное время. С подсветкой гораздо круче выглядит.
Мы не снимали в темное время суток, т.к. в таком случае не смогли бы снять храм внутри.. Он закрылся бы. Но в следующий раз обязательно снимем 😊
