- Recently bought a 1991 Harley Electra Glide Sport(tour pack and fairing added on) from a large dealership in Oregon. The bike has 78K miles, very good condition, fairly new Sanson exhaust, a new Mustang seat, added "Born to Ride" chrome add ons and other nice touches.The bike runs like a dream, I paid $3300 for the Harley out the door. Thinking I got a OK deal? Any comments, thanks.
Nice. Autumn of 2019 I was visiting family in Northern Wisconsin and you could guess they only have a four or five month riding season up there. I was looking at Craigslist ads and there were motorcycle ads that were too good to pass up. I bought a 1988 Electra Glide with only 28,000 miles for $3000. Of course I rode it straight to an independent motorcycle repair shop and spent another $2000 for a thorough inspection and service, new tires, brakes, and fork seals. Than I rode it two up towing a trailer with camping gear from Northern Wisconsin to Southwestern Texas trouble free. You cannot kill a carburetor Evolution Harley.
You got. A fine deal ona good bike which will still have a lot left. I value my 88 @ around 3500 to 3950 or so. 3300 ain’t too shabby. From what I can see real quickly basic maintenance is all that is needed. Probably just a few adjustments and checking things. A beautiful sound is an 80 inch Evo winding up to highway speed in 3rd gear. Most touring bikes have somewhat easier miles because the typical rides are much longer than cruisers, etc. Most engine wear is on cold starts anyways. I have had mine for 36 years and 98000 miles and I still like it.
My 91 has 91000 miles runs great.
Just bought one in Japan, I think you got a fair price. I spent 4,500 but with only 3,700 miles on it.

Just bought a all original 1990 Electraglide classic with 18,000 miles i just got service done on it and have rode it about 500 miles its sweet
I find the battery a huge pain to get too so I recommend putting pig tails on it to match a jump pack or a battery tender. have mine zip tied between the back seat and saddle bag out of sight but easy to get too when needed

I know your video is a few years old, but, That's pretty funny, I just bought the exact same bike 1991, with 78,000 miles, your motor looks super clean, probably been rebuilt, just too clean!! Mine has the receipts, its been rebuilt it cost 3800.00 for the motor, i paid 3300.00 for the bike!!, God Bless, ride safe!!

My `91 had about same mileage when I purchased it in 2017, around 95K now and going strong. Yes, somewhere along the way it was rebuilt and not sure if still a 80ci or not. Been rock solid and dependable, best bike I`ve ever owned!
On the frunt that's a regulator the m otor is a evo evolution sigal cam the biggest thing is the cam bearings that needs to be checked I have a 93
I bought a 92 Electra Glide Classic with 85,000 miles on it for $1,100. It’s been ridden across the county twice by the original owner.
Killer deal on a Harley for sure. I recently sold my `91 Glide at a higher price, looking for another one, 96 or 103 motor.

Nice machine. Do you still have it? Are you still liking it? In 2018 I bought an '86 Electra Glide Standard with 37K miles on it from the 3rd owner for $3500. That's in Northwest Indiana which is considered the Chicago market where things are expensive. I think you did good.

Great bikes and just love riding mine. Recently took the tour pak off, handles so much better! Looking for a solo seat to replace the mustang seat.
Any EG not leaking at the primary was taken care of and probably has a cam EV 13 or better. I know people got 130 on their touring bike.
Good deal, I’m looking for an electraglide almost any evo year but I’m fond of the 90’s paint schemes. Most are averaging mid 4’s for same mileage. I would buy this.
I keep thinking maybe I will upgrade to newer model but it runs so well and sounds great like a EVO should, not the fastest but the cool factor off the scale!
Mitch Culb I’m mainly looking to buy one just to have an older classic that is pretty much stock and dependable. I don’t care for changing the look I want it as it came out the factory. One day I’ll find the one.

In Sweden you have to pay the double for a -91 electra.
Over the last year prices on used Harley`s have gone up substantially, glad I bought mine when I did.
Not a oil cooler it's your regulator box coverts 12 volt to 6 volt or vice versa
