- Come along as Steve and I enjoy a beautiful day with a relaxing day of river touring in our kayaks. We do 4 sections of the Haw River, as it winds its way to Jordan Lake. We do the Upper-Upper, Upper, Middle and Lower Haw sections with one portage at Bynum Dam. #longboatsmatter

P.S. :
Do you have any tips for people with a "bigger than average" head when it comes to choosing a helmet ??
To give you an idea about what I am looking for :
Shoei X1000R in size XXXL which covers sizes larger than 62/63 so helmets from Sweet/WRSI/NRS for example are not an option...
If I can't find a helmet that fits then I can't do any whitewater either this summer! :(
LOL!!! Calling me out! I love it! 14.5' in manky shallow water = negative strokes! I couldn't even come close to doing all that with no negative strokes!
I had a friend that bought a BMX style helmet. I never looked it over, but he claimed it worked perfectly.

Do you happen to know what the brand was of that helmet ?
In the meantime I have started e-mailing all the well known brands and receiving a lot of NOPE.AVI answers, but most of them told me they will look into expanding the sizes of helmets that they are offering so **fingers crossed** as they say :)

If you know of anyone in the need of a right side of an RPC3 220 touring paddle let me know. I had broken the left blade and contacted them about a replacement. They are no longer in production. I can send it to you.

Yea, worse part is that it wasn't my fault. I purchased the 220 performance paddle as a replacement. Upgrades!
There are lookalikes without the RCP3 logos on them on ebay and other import sites.

I live on Haw Creek which feeds into the Haw River less than a mile from my property...so it would have to be the Haw. But in terms of a quality whitewater river, I would say Wilson Creek...it is the closest good river to me and I end up there a lot.

is there a site or app i can install to show the average of a river .i use river app to see what a river is running (cfs ) for that day
