Well done! Thanks for the video! It's only a matter of time before big brothers figure a way to 'blob" their little brothers over the house. (Probably should have had a disclaimer) When I was a kid, we did it with see saws. Jump on one end and launch your little brother into the air! Amazing we all survived!
Considering the United card, being near Chicago it is a primary airline I use, I am also considering a Hyatt or IHG card, tough since they are all chase, not sure that the best setup would be
Agreed that Sapphire is better than Centurion. My Ritz-Carlton card gives me unlimited Sapphire lounge access. I'm going to PHX next week and have been to BOS, IAD, and LGA.
Another lounge at lax would be good because unless you get to the centurion lounge when it opens you might have an hour wait and there are no priority pass lounges.
@ well like I said lax only has the centurion for a credit card lounge and it is worthless because most of the time it is an hour wait. So I will usually try to fly delta into or out of lax so I can use their lounge which is a great lounge. But most of the time I will try to fly out of SFO.
I went to a "fitness" camp in the 90's we did a different kind of blobbing. We just snuck out in the middle of the night and ate half of the snacks at the 7-Eleven
Let's make fun of United Airlines. If you can't see it, they'll lose it. I've only been in one United lounge and it had no restroom and they wouldn't let me leave and come back. I finally had my wife open the exit door and let me back in. lol I checked out that Bahia Principe lalala resort with the Disney castle in the pool area. It really would be ideal for families with kids. I didn't realize it was all the way over in the Canary Islands, lol. I can't fly that far.
Sometimes I put my bag under seat. But typically I prefer as much space as I can get. Fun fact: sometimes I’m traveling with a carryon and personal bag(pack) and I’ll put them both overhead. The perks of boarding early. 🤫😀
Those Hyatt promos are lame. Also I get excited when I see they have a property in a location I'm looking at then I see it's a Mr & Mrs Smith property and am bummed out.
Note that the United gate checked bags photos show that the seats were empty next to the empty bins, while the bins were full where people were sitting. In other words, completely false and manufactured issue. Obviously the plane was still boarding, from back to front, and it means nothing whatsoever that the bins were empty in the area where people hadn't boarded yet. Social media, 2024.
People who put their personal items (backpacks, coats, briefcases, purses) overhead are the reason the bins fill up so fast. Don’t be a part of the problem.
I am more than willing to have someone take my small backpack and combine it with another one but I do like to keep it up if possible. Of course I would always comply if told to put it under the seat.
What do you think will be the fallout if Spirit cannot emerge from bankruptcy?
Because they will no longer compete with Frontier. So, Frontier will increase prices since they no longer have a competitor in that price range.
You'll have to go to IHOP or Waffle House to see a brawl.

Amazing how loose see saws used to be haha
Sapphire Lounges are nice! Thanks for the info + video!
They really are. Can’t wait for the one in Vegas to open.
PP only allows 1 Sapphire Lounge visit per year 🥳
Thanks!

If you can get business cards I would grab the United business card since it offers the extra award space too and won't hurt your Chase 5/24 count.

True Chase lounge is better than centurion 1v1. But Amex network is larger and pretty decent. Esp overseas.
The Ritz card is a really good perks card many overlook.

Nah. EWR needs lounges bad. Too 3 busiest airport every year and it’s a wasteland.

LAX used to at least have the PP restaurants. It sucks.

Haha. Sounds fun!

They do seem to be behind the other big 2 in lounge renovations.
Shady
The worst about spirit is they had cheap flights from Miami to Colombia and other parts of central and South America.
Sure did - hopefully those routes stay intact.
A backpack under your seat would be easier to grab after your flight.

@ well the bad thing is every row of seats doesn’t have overhead bins for luggage.
True - I want that extra legroom if in standard economy though
I got the explorer card several years ago when it had 95k miles bonus. The low miles offer kinda stinks 😷
JB pulled full 🍆 block move trying to buy spirit. Need frontier needs those planes and gates/routes. Then I’m on board.
