  • The latest entry into our globally renowned Hugo range, an innovative and fully modular system utilising the latest ULTIMA technology. The Suzi power amplifier can be integrated directly with the Suzi Pre to become a power/preamplifier system with a phono stage or with the existing Hugo 2 and 2go, to become a fully digital streaming device with an FPGA DAC.
These products will launch later this year and more technical information will be released.

Does this mean you will stick with micro-USB until 2035? 😂

It's great that you are taking care of the old line. But what kind of Lego constructor it this?

    Excellent and very timely!
I installed a Hugo TT2/Mscaler/TToby into my system recently and have been contemplating the unthinkable of having to A-D my turntable as no analogue inputs on the Hugo.
Suzi Pre looks like the solution and I get to play with more glowing balls - heaven :)
Do we know approximate pricing yet?
If I can make one suggestion - assume these are prototypes or mock-ups - the white font on the front is a bit large IMO, perhaps make that a little more subtle.

0:11 What that unit? The top unit isn't either Hugo 2 or Suzi Pre.

Good question. I wonder if it's an adaptor for when your signal chain doesn't go through Hugo 2 or Suzi Pre. They keep it open to being plugged into other systems?

Can suzi pre be used as headphone amp dac only without suzi?

The Suzi is both a preamplifier and phono stage, so it can be used as a headphone amp however it has no function to be connected to a DAC as it is an analogue product

If you have time to do this, it's better to fix update server.

Can Suzi finally stop that deafening explosive audio bug when connecting to PC via USB?

Have used Chord DACs with my PC via USB, and never had that.
Also, why not get a £5 optical cable and see how that performs?

    • @jmssun
      @jmssun 2 місяці тому

@@greenbow7888 I wish optical can replace usb.. optical cable is limited to 24-192
      Usb goes up to 32-768

There are many people have that problem, this happens especially when opening media with different audio profiles, and chord would just crash and blast out a super loud thundering noise that reality really hurt my ears
There was a gentleman and his friend had tested out and says that even CPU affected whether that happens or not..

@@jmssun It sounds like hardware syncing.
However Chord DACs are supposed to have a built in delay before sending sound, to allow time for hardware sync.
On your media player for music, see if there is a setting to add half-second of silence, before playing music.
I use JRiver, and there is a setting on that player for adding hardware sync time.
In JRiver it's, Player > Playback Options > Settings > Play Silence at Startup for Hardware Synchronisation.
If you switch from one media format to another, there may be a moment where the DAC sees no audio input. (Or if you change from e.g. 44.1KHz to 192KHz.)
Then when it gets e.g. a 44.1KHz signal, there will be a click or pop that can be loud. That's why Chord, and media players add time for hardware sync before sending sound, to top sync noise. Or clicks and pops.
Having said that, your description of the Chord crashing - that sounds worrying. You should email Chord. Alternately, you could ask in the Head-Fi forum, on the main thread about your DAC.

I don’t know.. I use foobar2K for music, but media player for movies and firfox for twitter and UA-cam..
audio source is complex on PC… just hope that there is a solution to that,
I really do love the sound, but it is quite scary to risk hurting my ear once every week or two just for the possibility of “might not happen”

Please send the Fischer Price stuff back to the eighties.
On the other hand it is cool to have components that are clearly male and female in these woke times. No way you would mis-gender any of that gear.
