Great show at the Fitzgerald in St Paul on Wednesday. That was really cool of you to give that guy’s young daughter a drum stick at the end of the show . I was right next to them in the front row. 😊
Howdy from Billings Montana...Great Vid...Nick you need one of those Wrap Around Squiggly Style Phone Holders...Ohhhh and was THAT a Glass of Wine???...C'mon Nick POUR US A GLASS OF WINE!!!!!!! LoloL
Hey Nick, so sorry to hear about your basement. Love the fact that you can do these on your days off and I really enjoyed the view on this one. Love seeing the old Big Big Train snare drums from years gone by. Looking forward to see you on Saturday night, sir.
@@NDVirgilio Hey Nick! I saw your gear rundown video for the Mr. Big tour! Saw that you’re using the Pearl Eliminator pedals, what type of bearings did you upgrade with?? Thanks!
So cool of you to share video in the midst of two (2) too BIG tours! Glad you saved everything. So damn psyched for BBT! Safe, successful, and enjoyable journeys❣
I know. If I had not gone home who knows how bad it could have been. My wife does not go down there very often because she really has no need. Thankfully I was hope to catch it when I did. Cheers!
I know! I can't keep up. But really what she does a lot of the time is grow a new plant from an existing one and also buys little seedlings and grows from there. I can't grow a snare...Ha! Cheers!
She really does. They are everywhere in our house. If she wasn't so good at keeping them alive and healthy I would have a much different attitude towards them all :)
It is that rubbery kitchen stuff you put on your counter tops after you clean your dishes, cut up into little squares. I put it under the snare wires to keep them from buzzing when not being used. You could use cut up towels or a bunch of other things to do the same. Thank you for watching!
Im wondering what the dimensions are between the inside of the front foam bar to the inside of the back foam bar. Im thinking around 14 inches like the diameter of a snare. This might work as a small amp stand. Also what is the distance between the two tiers? Thank you.
Very interesting piece of gear. The one question i would like to put is this. from what i can establish being blind, you have all your snare drums with no cases in that rack. If i decide to get 1 for my self in the future, would i be able to put all my snare drums which are in cases or bags in to this rack? thanks in advance, keep on rockin'
Dude, I'm not in the market for a snare rack, but I like your videos so kuch so j watched anyway. Always great to see your gear. Mister Nick, are the little black pads between the snare wires and the head there just to keep sympathetic buzzing from happening?
Great video as always Nick. Curious what the black "tape" you had on all of the bottom of your snares are for? Is it the rubber pads you put in drawers to keep the snares from buzzing while recording? Thanks in advance and see you in SF with Mr Big!!!
I had one! Admittedly it was one I installed myself. It was not strong enough and go overwhelmed when the main one crapped out. I now have a super duper high end sump pump with a back up properly installed by a real plumber....not me :)
I'm not married anymore so I keep my snare drum rack in my living room as "decor" and my drums and recording gear are set up on the other end of my master bedroom. Oh also...I live in Florida so no basement to flood!
Hey Nick...Im not sure but it looked like the Rubber Feet had a hole in each one so you could leave the feet on and still screw the casters on thru the holes...I could be wrong but kinda looked that way!!!

That's so sweet! We were at the show too and I didn't catch that. ❤
I love seeing young ones at concerts. It is the least I can do. Cheers!

Thanks Nick... and look on the bright side of your basement flooding.... your wife's plants weren't damaged!
Ha! That's a funny one :) Cheers!

Last two nights of Mr. Big were really awesome! Good to see you touring again!
Thanks for coming!!! It sure feels good to be out there playing. Cheers!

Yes, 17:30, that´s the way drummers fix problems 😂 hey, love the Ludwig hand hammered brass! And the fridge too! Greetings! 🤠👍
Ha! What can I say...IT WORKED!
CHEERS!
Nice one Nick, hope the flood has not caused too many problems, good job you went home that day.
I know. If I had not gone home who knows how bad it could have been. My wife does not go down there very often because she really has no need. Thankfully I was hope to catch it when I did. Cheers!
Luv the kitty! Also noticed plants outnumbering snare drums…time to buy more! 😊

Only Nick can make such a mundane task ( for the non musician ) into a fun and entertaining adventure 😅 sorry about the flood😢 crazy week ahead 😉
Ha! Thank you :)
I have to buy one now!! Thank you nick so much for your help on gear. Sorry about your basement😢
Thanks for watching!!!
THis was/is a hoot! Blessings and uneventful tours ahead!
Cheers!
"Yeah... she likes plants." had me LOL
She really does. They are everywhere in our house. If she wasn't so good at keeping them alive and healthy I would have a much different attitude towards them all :)
I bought tickets for your gig in the netherlands Nick, see you guys then
GREAT!!! See you there :)
Hey Nick so what did I see under all of your snare wires? And thanks for the video love the snare collection

What is the piece of tap on bottom head directly in middle (under snare wires) for?
Just to keep the snares wire quite when not in use. You can use all sorts of stuff to do the trick. Cheers!
you have nice house
Thank you

I guess so. But the cool thing, in my opinion, is that you can display you drums. Cheers!
They ought to make a cymbal rack.
Very good idea! Thank you!
What are the black squares between the snare and resonance head
Are those just for storage???
Dude, I'm not in the market for a snare rack, but I like your videos so kuch so j watched anyway. Always great to see your gear.
Mister Nick, are the little black pads between the snare wires and the head there just to keep sympathetic buzzing from happening?
Yep. An easy/cheap way to keep em quite. Cheers!

I saw that too... and yes looks like drawer liner... I have some and thought thats a good idea.
Yep, simple drawer liner rubbery stuff. You can use towels or anything like an old tshirt or whatever. Just to keep the snare wires quite. Cheers!
want met him some day
ever heard of any damage from storing snares on their sides?
More casual gear...stuff... Please!
OK! Cheers!
Oh, your wife buys 10 new plants every time you buy a new snare? Me too!
Well since I made that video that must mean that I get to buy, oh I don't know, 12 new snares! Whooo Hoooo!
I was the 1st to like 👍🏼
Thank you!
Floods suck. You need a battery backup system for your sump pump! Cheap insurance.
I had one! Admittedly it was one I installed myself. It was not strong enough and go overwhelmed when the main one crapped out. I now have a super duper high end sump pump with a back up properly installed by a real plumber....not me :)

Pure technique 😂😅😂😅

Ha! Whatever works. I'd put drums all over my house to if I could :) Cheers!
@@NDVirgilio Hopefully the homeowners insurance can pick up some of that flooding repair tab!

I didn't notice that but I will look closer. Take care :)
