Bro this sounds better then any of the ex274 cams ive heard on here!! I have to ask did you degree the cam or put it in straight up? Also what is your timing and idle set at?!?!
The vortec heads can only accept so much valve lift (I don't remember the exact number). To run this cam, I believe it was borderline near that limit, so I had the spring seats machined to allow for greater lift without bottoming out.
Use Comp 787 retainers and the appropriate beehive springs, and you'll gain enough clearance to run well over .500" lift. No machining needed at all, just make sure your valve seals are completely seated. I know, old post and you've probably already done the swap, but this is good info for the masses.
Thumps like the magnum grind ... Winds up like the 4x4 cam...
Sounds great
Whoa, whoa, whoa man my house is hot as it already is. Car sounds gruesome dude.

Great job Not being Another check guy with Eco master "me too " mufflers. Sounds Great.

Cam installed straight up, around 34 degrees of timing at full advance, and around 600 or 650 idle.

Beautiful Camaro!!
What is the initial timing set at and at what RPM is total advance?
What’s it sound like in the seat?
Hi did you have any issues with vacuum for brakes with this cam ? Cheers
Nope, no vacuum problems for the brake booster.
Did you have to do any machining with the vortec heads or did the springs drop right in? I'm doing the same combo
