Wow watching this blows me away they were babies back then hell I was a baby back then in my teens. Gosh where dies the time fly? I get back then yes abstinence is the best especially being a teen but looking back on it I do think it was good they advocated for safe sec. They right teens going to do it anyway but what they were saying is at least they can encourage safe sex. Watching this was like traveling back to the 90s.
I have sickle cell looking back at the footage I wonder if she kept her arms covered from all the IV scars. I have 30 on one arm alone. I can only imagine the pressure of not having scars from hospitalizations etc and clearing her skin up for a photo shoot or a performance etc that must have been tough. Plus the dancing too . Tboz truly is a warrior I keep thinking about the energy that goes into those dances then after the show possibly having a crisis or being rushed to the ed for pain management. I guess if she made enough she could have a hematologist back stage w hydration therapy and pain management. I’m just grateful that she advocated and shed light and brought awareness to the disease too.
