Laura, you never cease to amaze and astound. You're definitely the LADY! Not many girls today are willing to work that hard. Respect.
I know that's just your own opinion, but it's a pretty sexist opinion.
@@shopshop144 it’s truthful though
Not sexist at all nothing but truth
Loved Grant’s “product placement” move at the races 😂 Laura Farms Shirt ❤️
THAT'S AWESOME! The Planting Is Finished!! Great Job Laura!! 😀👍👊
You have become part of my day. Great videos and beautiful smile. God Bless.
Ahoj Lauro. Ať Ti ta energie dlouho vydrží. Ty ospalé stavy znám. God bless you and your family.
Brings back childhood memories of Friday night dirt track racing at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds. Sweet
Oh my Heck, I need one of those plate tools. I just use my hands. That tool makes it look so much easier. Congratulations on finishing #plant2021.
Congratulations on finishing up the planting! I'm sure that's a relief. And few things say country like a dirt track race. 🙂
nice Montezuma box there Grant, thanks for saving the video!
You sure know what you are talking about. Pretty and smart!
Amazing!! Here in Canary Island we are recolecting potatoes, our climate in midle of Atlantic ocean is especial, rain few waters and the summer beguing over april.....
Good Morning From New Zealand, Great Laura farms Video, thanks for sharing, have a wonderful week
Daughter Gracie really enjoyed meeting you at the races!
Hey Laura, I think you should def report that 'inconvenience' with the row tires to your dealer, what a pain!
I work in product development for a tractor manufacturer - I won't say which one :) - and when those issues get reported they can get resolved. Maybe not on that product, but on the next releases.
Love the channel!
I like bacon, pork chops, ribs, pull pork, and bacon again. Thank you for taken good care of the pigs and dealing with the smell.
I like the way you said oh my goodness you said that on every video
Look up San Bruno mountain. It's not that big but during the rainy season (which isn't very dependable in California) it's the most beautiful hike I've ever done. The down side is, the hike is a 30 degree incline up the east end of the mountain (back when I used to hike it, you really can't legally go up that way anymore from the fire road) so when it's raining, you're mud up to your knees. You're not IN mud up to your knees, you've got mud on you up to your knees. It's kind of a clay mud. You need very aggressive tread and stiff soled boots to get up there. If you're wearing sneakers or those whimpy hiking "shoes" just call rescue services before you go and tell them exactly where you are so they don't have to waste their time looking for you. That part of the 8 mile hike, climb is around 1/4 mile, then you hit the top. But on the way to and up that incline is the most beautiful flora and fauna I've ever seen (but only when it's really a wet season). Every flower you can imagine and every color of ice plant bloom you can and can't imagine. California is often brown and dry most of the year so the contrast is just stunning. I often look to see if I can buy a house on the private road that leads to the fire road. If I'm a resident, I can hike that end any time I want!
Have a great day
When we are switching out plates on our planter, we unclip the whole seed box and lift it up, it only takes a sec and makes working alot easier
That's what I do too. But that planter was more open to the seed plate than mine.
Felicidades eres una guerrera y muy trabajadora sigue así de sencilla 👍
At least you are petite enough to wedge your way into that space to work. I am a big boy and there is no way I would fit into there! Enjoying these vlogs!
Great video!
I like to set my alarm early so I can hit snooze. There's just something magical about the snooze button lol
Been there and understand totally.
The farmers and ranchers are the backbone of this great country!
Laura you sure are one tough cookie. Love to watch how you just dig in and get it done.
Laura. I really enjoy watching you and Grant farm day to day. One question: you have a farm, you and Grant have a farm. Grant's Dad has a farm and your Dad and Papa have a farm. How many acres do you and Grant farm collectively, and what is the breakdown per farm. Acre and timewise? Thanks so much for an enjoyable break to my days. Kirk
I been to Junction Motor Speedway..Beautiful track n a great sport.
Laura I love to farm that was my favorite job love to drive a tractor in the field love to plant corn and beans
I see you have the same purple and white wild phlox growing out there as we do here in Pa. They grow along roadways, and trails. They are the most beautiful wild flower that grows here in the spring.
I would make a hinge and pin on that guide wheel so you could pull a pin and drop the wheel out of your way. 👍👍👍
I used to contract raise broilers and we loaded out at all times of the day and night.
Another fun video. Finishing at the race track was a great idea. A pretty night to be at the track. Well done.
Heer is a stupid question can you put the tire down? Thanks for answering my question about why you plant male and female corn seeds with different machines. Thanks for your videos love what you did with your hair. Farmers are my heroes.
Nice big dirt track
There's GOTTA be a 2 seat race car their to put Laura in! Her reaction would be priceless. We NEED it !!
I quite raising hogs about 16 or 17 yrs ago, and while I do miss raising hogs, I don't miss those getting up at 3 and 4 in the morning to sort and load out hogs to sell. As a kid, back when there was hog buying stations close by the farm, we didn't have to get up in the wee hours of the morning to sell hogs. We usually would start sorting and loading out hogs to go to market around 7 or 8 in the morning, but when the buying stations were shut down and we started hauling directly to the packing plants, and having to schedule loads, it seem to get earlier and earlier when they wanted the hogs, lol. Many times, I ran in the field all night and then went straight to the finishing barn to sell hogs, fun times those were, lol.
Love dirt track racing
New to your channel love it country girl can survive
You can take the row unit off to get to it
YAY!!!! dirt track racing!!!! :)
Congrats on getting your planting done now do you have any projects this year?
On those hard to reach plates with the wheels, could you not lower the implement or the wheel to get a more advantageous angle on that thing, or create some more room?
Morning , 10:00 coffee break with Laura Farms. Thanks for the great videos stay safe
those are busiest tracks in the whope country!
Laura, I really enjoy your videos! I deliver auto parts and supplies on a night route throughout Northwest Kansas and watch them with my phone mounted so I can watch the road and UA-cam at the same time! Sometimes, if I get tired on my route, I will take a little nap (usually never more than an hour). It's usually enough to keep me awake the rest of the night. Of course, I sleep during the day!
OMG I can't watch the first part of this vid without yawning !
Laura, its called an "O" ring. Handy, girl on the farm.
Jajajaja !!!!! Grate Video!!! Go Go Go Go !!!
but the windsock on your mic will be a massive improvement. worth the money for quality
you are so cool all i ever get to do is work on tractors
Just one more thing, I noticed when you held up that corn disc that it had perfect shaped corn shapes? in them around the entire disc. My question is does that planter put those kernels in the ground the exact same way? What I mean is, does it plant them bottom down? Keep up the great work!!!!!!!!!!!
Milo in Australia is a Malt Chocolate Milk drink.
LOL it's not easy to pull it all nighter is it. Try doing it all week. I work two jobs work all day and then I go to work all night. Monday through Saturday. I usually end up with 120 to 130 hours a week doing planning season
Thank you for all the videos
Great video. Show more racing at your local track...
Definitely need a Monster Drink for the Night Shift. Ha
Fun video... Great work!!! Let me know if you want any of my hardneck garlic or strawberries!!! Cut the scapes off the garlic earlier tonight and my strawberries are going crazy this year... they're soooooo delicious!!! : )
Al final té qué darás dormía dé pie?🤣🤣🤣
What a beautiful video! Everything was great. You all are the best.
Feel your pain working in and around tight locations. Aircraft maintenance Technician for over 50 years, lots of nasty tight areas. Sometimes when changing parts on the aircraft we do it by brel, hands feeling only as the job cannot always be seen with the eyes.
Hello from Gemany
I hated loading hogs at 8am, I can't even imagine doing it at 4am.
YEAHHHHH Finished planting. The dirt track racing brought back memories. That's whereby wife and I met...at a dirt track in Texas.
I've seen milo seeds but don't know much about it. Your growing season is better than Canada.
It's small seed,
Young lady even when your tired you still can force a smile , good video
I love your perspectives... never let a beautify flower go by unnoticed 🌸🏵🌹🌼🌷🥀🌺
Nice one Laur, keep them videos coming! Love them!
I have to meet you one day I love farming maybe I can help y’all out 😂 😂
Great job Laura..... the light at the end of the field.... nice
Liked the dirt race , they used to do it here in town of Casa Grande
I feel better now knowing that the future of agriculture is good hands with you & the younger generation taking over so you go beautiful girl because you can do it. You're such an inspiration!!
Congrats in getting all your seed in the ground. Papa Curt may have developed a tool that he could market. Nothing like a summer night at a dirt race track!
Too bad those row tires aren't made to drop out of the way when servicing.
I was thinking the same thing. I work in an office behind a desk. No where close to farming.
Good stuff girl...hearing that wind takes me back to growing up in the panhandle...go big red keep em coming...
Would you be able to place a support under the row unit and lower the planter so unit has some clearance above the tire?
@1:28 was it good decision? Well, the thing I need when I wake up is a quick nap... 😂
Have seen sorghum in ingredients alot. No clue how it started though. Figured it was made in a lab.😆
Laura I have a 2nd cousin that raises hogs and his operation has holding tanks buried underground so there is no nasty smell and runoff. The pigs are delivered to him at six weeks old and they ship them off when they reach maturity. It is a extremely sanitary operation and a person has to suit up, wear boot coverings, etc. I live right at a thousand miles from him and don’t know much about the operation except that he has two people helping seven days a week. He won farmer of the year several years ago in his state right before he started the hog operation. Just thought I would mention it in case you still want to raise hogs and maybe check out a way to make more money without all of the nasty smell and increase your hog production. I can find out more information if you want. I remember as a kid staying with my grandparents and there was a hog farmer about three miles away, he had a lot with a creek running through it and the hog smell was terrible, I would have to hold my breathe every time we passed his place during the hot summer months. Ya’ll need one of those stock cars so you can bring Grant his lunch if he is working another field. LOL 😂
Sorry Laura 😞
Couldn't resist
If April showers bring
May flowers what do
May flowers bring 😄
good
The purple flowers are Dame’s rocket, and are invasive, and the yellow flower is Yellow Salsify, and is invasive. Kinda sad. Although nebraska used to be kinda dead everywhere besides the streams, it did have some prairie and those prairies have the most beautiful flowers too.
YOU POOR FARMER!!!
Cool hair style 6:35 . Very famous in Indian villages. Glad that you are promoting in your videos.
Hi, please explain how you contract the hogs.
Oh, this was awesome! Just trying to keep your feet planted on the ground while Nebraska winds blow at “90 to 110 miles per hour” 😂 And apparently you need to be a contortionist to change out corn plates to milo plates on the enormous planter! So many jobs you do!!
How do you remember all that “mechanical stuff”??? I look at any can of machine, and nothing registers in my brain 🤪
Loved this video! Love ❤️ you way more! Grammy
Do you de-tassle your corn or is that only done during seed production.
Great video Laura
A great video Laura.
Hello
Ah guys that was great, and loved the race track ending, have learned so much about pivots recently👍🇮🇪
How long do you raise the pigs?
Even though planting is done, keep the videos coming.
Such a natural beauty that Grant is
Mrs. Laura, my family in Iowa contract raise hogs the same way your family does. At what weight do you get the hogs?
Tell Grant to be careful wrenching on those pipes on the pivots. Leaning towards the angle iron tightening the pipes could lead to him being impaled should the wrench slip. Could you explain why you would not lower the tire on the seeder to change seeder plates?
The tire doesn't move relative to the rest of the planter, it's in a fixed position and touches the ground only when the whole machine is lowered to plant.
@@lynwessel2471 TY...
Nice job, great video as always, flowers and the two braids both look amazing. Keep it up 👍
Does that tire drop down?
Great to hear your done planting. Gotta love a night at the races watching the late models. The big Sprint cars ever make it to your track. Tell grant hi
Pop the box off and change by tires
