I purchased two DWO-3 BILT helmets with integrated Bluetooth several years ago. After using them very little over the past several years, this is my evaluation. The rubber, or whatever material it is, going around the back of the helmet at the neck came off of BOTH helmets. This past week the chin bar release button broke off of one helmet making the helmet essentially worthless. My wife had to pull her head out as I pulled on the sides of the helmet. Although I got an XL size for my wife, who is only 5.5' and 125 lbs., it was too tight to really be comfortable. I bought a 2XL and it was too tight to be comfortable as well. It appears, at that time, BILT helmets were significantly smaller than their size would indicate. Now for some of the good points. The Bluetooth worked well and the battery life exceeded my expectations. Sound was clear and the volume adjustment was sufficient to be set at a comfortable level and hear clearly. The dual visors were handy but I really wasn't fond of the location of the buttons to raise and lower the shade shield. Fogging was never a problem, but I always raised my front shield a little to help with air flow. Now I'm going to have to replace the broken helmet due to poor design/quality. Anyone want to buy a broken helmet with integrated Bluetooth???
Beautiful helmet only problem is I just saw a video with many modular helmets, and if you get into an accident and you hit the front button it will go in and the chin bar will come up. The button needs to be on the inside like a lot of the other units not in the front and not on the bottom.
Hey Brendan, great review on the BILT Modular helmet. I purchased this helmet and it fit great, I listen to music as I ride and I wish the volume was a bit louder when I'm on the freeway, I see people mentioned the road noise, it doesn't bother me as I mostly ride on the city streets. I did have this helmet but left it on my handlebar of my Fat Boy and a dirtbag stole it, my fault, totally forgot I left it there. I'm thinking of buying another one soon but was wondering if there is a similar built in bluetooth, modular on the market that has louder sound, any suggestions? I hope you read your old videos. Thanks again for the well done review.
Not getting notifications for you guys for some reason. Missed the last three uploads which I just happened upon by chance. Anyone else having this problem?
Let's say if I buy two of this helmet, will I be able to communicate with the other rider? I mean does it support out of the box intercom feature between the two helmets without any additional investment?
I feel like gear description and review videos should be on a secondary channel, so the video feed is just the shows and I don't get notifications for tons of gear I'll never get
They got lucky then. I took a sledge hammer to mine and it caved instantly. My retired HJC and my buddies Scorpion held up way better. I wear Shoei now and love it.

P,
I like how the RevZilla team are going deep in detailing the products, this is really helpful. Cheers
Big thank you for not being so over-the-top enthusiastic as other US reviewers.
Just bought this on sale. Face shield fogs up pretty bad during this cold weather. fitment is small so size up when buying!
Nice detailed video. Would love to hear about the charging point and the battery life also

Naa im good. Using someone else’s helmet is like using someone else’s used underwear

It's simply BILT different.
I see what you did there
VERY helpful!! Thanks so much!! Would like to have had some references to other, similar helmets that would offer better safety like Snell or ECE.
Is there a upgrade available for the speakers? Those that have rode loud Harleys for years tend to need it Xtra loud
I like ur explanation
Big love from Iraq 🇮🇶
Keep this work up
Hope to see you hit 10M subscribes
Coz u worth it...
I like how they made their icon smaller

I always add my Bluetooth separately. Never liked the idea of being stuck to having it only in 1 helmet
i used to be the same, but honestly i never swap it around because it’s so annoying to swap out.

Wow no comments!
God bless ya. "A lot goin' on"....when will they start adding camera to it?
How often do you have to charge the Bluetooth? can it play back music? does it have speakers on left and right?
I like my bilt helmets more than my Simpson helmet, thousands of miles in both of them
How to test and change the battery on the DWO-6?

We don't launch every video with a notification. Since we launch so many, we try to avoid spamming everyone's inbox.
Can you make a review for the sena outstar please
Let's say if I buy two of this helmet, will I be able to communicate with the other rider?
I mean does it support out of the box intercom feature between the two helmets without any additional investment?
Yes, you would still need to pair the two helmets (they don't arrive pre-paired) but you would be able to communicate without any other investments.
For glasses????
Is this waterproof or water resistant?
It runs small! Order a size up!
Do you have to buy a separate bluetooth peice for it to work?
No, the Bilt Techno 3.0 comes with everything you need right out of the box.
How about a new "fake reviews"?!! It has been a while!!
I thought this guy was with Cyclegear
Does this helmet have different shades of shields for sale like mirror?
Yes, there are a few options to choose from.
www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/bilt-nomad-techno-30-face-shield?sku_id=1854522
Where can you buy replacement liners
cycle gear
I feel like gear description and review videos should be on a secondary channel, so the video feed is just the shows and I don't get notifications for tons of gear I'll never get
How do I take the visor off?
The two screws at the side hold the modular mechanism in place, but also the face shield. Remove those two and you can swap the shields out.
Can you listen to music ?
Yes
Since when did cyclegear buy revzilla?
never. revzilla and cycle gear merged under a new company, but that was several years ago at this point. they also own rever, and j&p cycles
The 3.0 is trash. Go back to the 2.0
Too bad u didn't comment on whether you can toss the speakers and upgrade. Sena speakers are known to be pretty junky.
Bilt helmets are junk!
I disagree. I’ve seen Bilt save several lives...
They got lucky then. I took a sledge hammer to mine and it caved instantly. My retired HJC and my buddies Scorpion held up way better. I wear Shoei now and love it.
@@Choirboyjr11 what do you think of bell
It saved a life 💪🏻
Two shell sizes?? Get outta here with that garbage
big headed angery mexican
Most helmets are from bell any everyone else are two shell sizes
The difference is the sizes of the padding inside
just stop making helmets. Please these are junk and ignorant buyers should not be pushed towards cost cutting helmets
Does this 🪖 have Sena voice commands? @RevZilla 🤔
