    Dear Ma'am Gill,
    I liked your new lesson on Pronunciation Practice ! Actually,the Sh as श and Shr as श्र is present in Sanskrit,one of the oldest languages of India and also in Hindi,the language widely spoken in India,in the present times.Therefore,it becomes easier for us to pronounce those words quite effortlessly in English as well !
    Thank you so much 😃 !

    Great video, happy new year Gil! You're my favorite English teacher and I'm always happy when a new video is uploaded!😁🌹
    Would you please do a video on when s is prounced as z!
    We in Sweden don't really use z expcept in words borrowed from English like zoo, and then we still pronounce it as s!
    I really find it hard to pronounce and also to remember when it's pronounced s and when it's pronounced as z.

  • @kinda4664
    @kinda4664 Рік тому +1

    I would probably not recommend putting too much efforts into anything related to pronunciation. Success or no success -- just take it easy. But if you want to parctice on those, the best way I am aware of is to play with pair of words, like "shine-shrine", "drunk-shrunk", "dread-shred"... Yes, keep it playfully and have fun! That's the most important thing. Also, you don't need to thoroughly articulate 'R' in such words, don't need to separate 'Sh' and 'R'. They are really close in "phoneme mechanics". Just make sure 'Sh' is nice and soft, and just scratch the surface of the following 'R', give it a slightest touch, get a little taste of it. That's all you need.😊(Thanks again for the inspiration, Gill!)

    Sorry for disturbing
    Mam
    I want to ask about "'complete inversion'' '
    "" Structure""
    Adverb of place+h.v+ m.v+ subject
    As There is lying a book on the table.
    Here is coming a car.
    Are both sentences and structures correct or not
    Q2. Can we use complete inversion in the subordinate clause
    As. This is the where there is going ram .
    This is the place when there is lying a book.
    Please reply

    • @engvidGill
      @engvidGill  Рік тому

      Hello - it's best to keep the word order as simple as possible. Here are my suggestions: A book is lying on the table. There is a book lying on the table. A car is coming. Here is a car coming. I don't understand your sentence containing the word 'ram' - are you talking about an animal (male sheep)? :-)
