Somehow, it beautifully evolves from the 1994 Statendam. There are a few new areas but it seems to retain the same areas as the original. And somehow HAL has managed to eschew the beige/taupe muted neutral craze that others are doing and have rich colors all over. Good to see this.

That's true. All the HAL ships we've been on so far have a similar feel.

How was the noise in that room? Think that the stateroom is under the kitchen or crew area
It was fine. We didn't notice much noice.
Are specialty restaurants open for lunch?
Usually, the Pinnacle grill is open for lunch. Most others are strictly dinner.

Is there karaoke on the ship?
We didn't see any, although some lounges might have a special event.
