Chantecaille is renowned for avoiding 'toxic' ingredients within their products, and is a luxury brand with a luxury price tag. I really hope that all these so called 'Clean Ingredients' are worth the hype.

CONTACT LENSES
I sometimes wear contact lenses in my videos. My eyes are naturally browny/orange, but I like to switch things up with green/blue/grey contacts. Recently I was sent some coloured contacts from a company called TTDEYE who deal with both cosmetic and prescription lenses. I LOVE THEM!!!!

My skin type is combi/dry most of the month, but when hormonal, my skin gets very oily around my t-zone. It's very unpredictable (thanks skin) and I suffer from breakouts (mostly hormonal breakouts...thanks again hormones!)

I think this is the most natural looking foundation I've seen you wear. I'd love to see how it looks on your Mom. I'm her age and lately everything I put on my face has been going blotchy and cakey as I put it on. I am so frustrated. The price is really too high for me, though.
I'm not willing to pay sooo much money for a foundation, instead I spend it for skincare 🤷♀️.

Thanks for reminding us about the alcohol and flower oil. I shouldn't take the risk on my sensitive skin even though I was so tempted to try this product.
I just got my first Chantecaille items (Hummingbird cook eyeshadow quad and Lupine lipstick) and really happy with them. The eyeshadow quad in particular is BEAUTIFUL - the chroma shadow is just gorgeous, and the shadows apply and last really well
Oh wow. I mistook one of the o's in "Hummingbird cook" for a c, and I was so very confused there for a while. "cook" makes a ton more sense.

I think I’ll be adding this one to the Christmas/birthday wishlist (so thanks in advance for helping dampen the panicked grasping for ideas that happens every time my mother asks what my siblings and I want from Santa. Every time she does, despite it being an annual request, I forget everything I’ve ever bought or wanted in the almost 40 years I’ve been able to answer.) My favorite. I keep trying others just because. Been using for at least 5 years and can’t find anything better. I wear porcelain and it very slightly oxidizes on me. Which is perfect. I’ve tested so many caking liquid foundations. I usually pick it up when there is a 20% off deal.
You still look stunning after a full days wear. I applaud you for refusing to repurchase the product because of the two ingredients you mentioned. I too, finish using products that have ingrediants i dont prefer. No sense in being wasteful while you can look stunning until you use it up.
Wowzers! £70!! I'd want a solid gold spatula with that! Certainly gives a nice finish. Probably would just need blotting with a tissue rather than reapplying powder to get rid of shine later in the day. You didn't seem really shiny like you have with some other foundations you have reviewed. Just don't put in in your bottom drawer and forget about it!! Soph. xxx

I like the Zelens Youth Glow foundation. It is full of antioxidants etc. The downside being, it has dimethicone and parfum which is annoying.

It really looks beautiful on you! Like you have the most luxe skin... and not Obvious foundation makeup.
Applying with fingers and working into skin works best! Oh and no silicone style primer, rather just regular moisturizer or spf is fine.
I love this foundation...I have normal skin. I use a brush because that is my preference. It is so beautiful on my skin.

I've actually just moved with my folks, I need help due to medical issues & yes I'm 47yrs lol, into a lovely new condo. My spending has been for my master en suite. I can’t explain it but the Wet and Wild foundation video is still working out great for me.go figure.i can’t get over the shock. On me, it doesn’t oxidize, transfer and still looks good in 8 hrs. I use it daytime and do all the catch up quarantine projects we’re probably all doing - painting, gardening, etc. . I don’t deserve ( ha ha ha) expensive products for daytime quarantine times. I did like it on you and saved the video - for better days. Btw, I love the colors and drama streaking of your roots! Calling hair grey is such a turn off. I wouldn’t want grey hair but whites and silvers and platinum roots in a mix of browns is often intriguing.
It looks beautiful on you. The old saying is.... the dearest is the cheapest in the long run. So if you find one that looks that good on your skin stick with it? you can spend a lot more money buying different foundations and end up costing you more money?
Lesley Hopkins that’s so true. I’ve spent loads looking for a cheaper alternative to Estée Lauder Double Wear until i just decided to go with it since I always ended up going back to it. My only issue now is that Lauder aren’t cruelty-free ☹️

You look beautiful! I don't know if I could pay that much for a foundation, but the skin-like results make this one tempting.
I use BareMinerals gel foundation, which has a greater number of shades and a decent sunscreen SPF, during the summer. The rest of the year I use Laura Mercier's tinted moisturizer.

It was very humid in Kansas today also. It would have to be my winter foundation . I have semi dry skin but glistens with humidity.
Really Beautiful! Gemma, it makes your skin look very healthy and the dewy glow after 6 hours makes it look more natural. I would like to purchase this foundation, but unsure about the correct shade if buying online.
The finish looks great on you...but I totally agree with your reasoning about other similar products fir a fraction of the price...AND they come in a pump bottle!

Knowing how much you appreciate beautiful products, it's lovely to see you enjoying a luxury foundation. Your skin just looked beautiful. I bet it is cleaner than other luxury brands, like La Mer or Channel.... which tend to have a TON of fragrance/parfum in them!

I haven't used this in about 3 years and what with my skin changing ( menopause ) I need to give it another go. It was lovely but I was convinced it was making me break out. Plus I had to buy 2 shades to make my color I'm going to get color samples before I purchase though

I've tried this product. Felt it was nice, but very hard to get a color match. I am similar in coloring with very dry skin. I never did invest in a full size tub after receiving three separate FREE samples directly from Chantecaille.

Hi Gemma, You’re usually a shade twin so I got the Vanilla online (in June 2023) but it really is too deep even though I’ve recently taken advantage of the lovely sunny weather we’re having. Have you repurchased this at all, and have you stayed with Vanilla. It’s currently £80 from SpaceNK so it’s gone up by £10 in 3 years!

vannessa lambert hi I have not seen the shade aura unfortunately. It’s difficult choosing a shade without seeing it in person. I do think however that this foundation is a lot more forgiving than others in that one shade will suit quite a wide spectrum. I am a cool skin tone, quite pinky. I am usually a 10 or 20 in Chanel so usually one of the lightest shades.

They are indeed very forgiving I can wear alabaster also,but it is warmer and I am embracing my paleness at the moment.

PS I also where Chanel la beige Healthy Glow Gel Touch Foundation ..it's nice very sheer non drying
SPF 25 so good for extra protection on the go ..I have shade 10 or 12 ..which is cooler ..of the two.
Most Chanel foundations are too dark for me ..and heavy on the fragrance,this one is ok on my sensitive skin.

They are so different. The futurist obviously has a lot of underdetermined fragrance ingredients which are harmful and is a higher coverage. I have a full review on it in the foundation Friday playlist xxx

This foundation looks fabulous on you! Unfortunately, I don’t have the budget to buy it. Have you tried the Neutrogena Hydra Boost Water Gel foundation? I would love to know your opinion on it. I am having a teal problem trying to find foundation I am happy with. I have never tried a gel formulation. I loved the way this foundation went on your skin, looked flawless and so natural. I wonder if the Neutrogena would work similarly?

Wow 70 sniffs for a foundation!! Not for me I have oily combination skin so nothing stays still or stays matte. I’ll stick to my Maybelline Dream Mousse x
So do the flower oils give it a noticeable scent? If so what does it smell like and does the smell last all day or bother you at all?
I have been using this foundation for about a year. I have a very sensitive nose and the scent is very very faint and once on it is completely gone. You can go into the chantecaille website and look at ingredient list. I think it is beautiful if you can afford it.
The scent is faint and I'm not offended by it. It lasts a few minutes and then it's gone xxx

Probably not the right comment to make on this amazing video but.........Have you done a comparison of Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat All-In-One Glow vs Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue ?
They are really different. The futurist is much more coverage and a much more oily finish, the YSL is weaker coverage, much more lightweight and more dewy/gel-like xxx

How is the brow perm holding up? Your brows look great in this video, but are the hairs "standing at attention" due to the perm or due to your finessing them with products when you put on your makeup?
The perm is great. I still have to brush through my brows with a spoolie first thing but then they look great. xxx
