Hello Diana, I am a historian and I like to answer your question about the origin of the Papuans People. First of all, yes they are the first inhabitants of the east region of the Indonesia, especially the Island of Papua or the New Guinea Island, while the west region of Indonesia still don't have inhabitants yet. The lighter skin people of Indonesia originate from the Austronesian People from Taiwan, and they are the first inhabitants of the west region of Indonesia. They arrived after the Papuans settle on the east region, but Austronesians was the first inhabitant of the west region. And second, yes we share the same national language Bahasa Indonesia as a lingua franca, but most of us are trilingual, we spoke ethnic language, the national language, and English. Fun fact, we also the biggest trilingual country in the world another interesting fact, not only the skin color are different but also the floras and faunas are different in the east side, you might notice the animal more resemble Australian animal, and that one more reason why you should visit the east region of Indonesia!
The skin colour & hair is different because West Papuan people are Melanesian & Indonesian people are Asian. Also Papuan people have their own native languages but when Indonesia colonised them in the 1965 Papuan people were forced to speak Bahasa. It wasn't their language prior to colonisation.
Yes you are absolutely right, but let me correct something, Melanesian people in Indonesia isn't limited only for West Papua. West Papua is just one of the region of the greater Papua. The whole New Guinea island and some island around it are native to Melanesian, moving further west, you can find a mix of Austronesian and Melanesian populations in regions such as the Moluccas. And for the language yes, they were forced to learn Bahasa Indonesia because they are now a part of Indonesia, its a lingua franca, same thing happened to all of ethnic groups in Indonesia. Its also the first thing write in the Youth Pledge. But that doesn't mean they forbid to speak in their own language (your wording make it sounds like it), that's why I write Indonesia is a biggest trilingual country, because the average person know atleast 3 languages. all this differences is why Indonesian motto is unity in diversity, because while in our eyes its just two asian and melanesian, but in reality its thousands of sub ethnic group united by one I know your intention for brought the conflict and I also believed Indonesia should get all the blame here

Indonesia is like a country between two continents. because Indonesia has two different nuances. The western and central parts of Indonesia, consisting of the islands of Sumatra, Java, Bali, Borneo, have distinctive and Asian characteristics. and eastern Indonesia will be different because it has typical Oceanian characteristics, one of which is Papua, which has cultural clusters with Fiji, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, Aborigines, Mikronesia, and others. NTT are Asian mix with Melanesian thats why they look Asian but they have darker skin and curly hair or American call it “Blasian” only some people have Portuguese blood. Pure Portuguese descendants live in Kampung Tugu, North Jakarta
Nice Video but sorry they are not africans of indonesian 😁😁. if you watch disney movie : moana 1-2, you see they are melanesian, a race from the austronesian family group in pasific area. they are original tribe of indonesia(east side), because indonesia itself has celebes mollucas papua Sunda Kecil( area like bali, east timor, timor leste) which is included in the oceanian family. oceanian people have such a physical shape because of natural factors that adapt. indonesia is a culturally diverse country that can be categorized as an Asian country or a pacific/ oceanian country. this is evidenced by the differences in flora and fauna from the webber and wallace lines (taken from two names of Dutch researchers). So you should not be surprised if Indonesians have dark skin because the ancestors of the Indonesian people lived as sailors who were exposed to the sun, then later the austroatic people and the Taiwanese people came to the western area of indo which then they brought a new culture from sailors to farming.

@JoeBolt-w3z but they aren't African, they are Melanesian just like I am Polynesian & we too come in various shades & different hair & also many different languages.
Nahh... Im mollucan and maluku is not melanesian but polynesian. Melanesian are familiy group of austronesian btw, west side of indo are austroatic. and maluku island are lima group of pacifican ethnic.
@@JoeBolt-w3z Nah go study again, not all black skin are african, in indonesian we dont have light skin but tan skin, and the shameless are they really want to be light skin like korean.
You're right. Their DNA is completely different from African. Dark skin isn't always equal to African origin. There are other groups of people that have similar features. Heck Africans are the most diverse people North,South, East,West ...the genetics are not the same.
Papua Indonesia ❤

Indonesians have many islands because they are forever changed because of regular eruptions of Volcanoes that happen there. yes we know a lot about the people in West Papua and Papua New Guinea, You also need to know what happened to them in past history
"What's the title of the song, it's really great?"
Nimepatikana
@DianahDaisy aku telah ditemukan (language indonesia)
I have been found ( england)
Nimepatikana (swahili)
NTT province is different from Papua which is like African people, we NTT people are descendants of Portuguese and Latin Americans therefore NTT people also have slightly dark skin
Where is ntt
@@DianahDaisy NTT is a province in eastern Indonesia which is close to Lombok
One of the famous places is Komodo Island, where there are Komodo dragons which are now almost extinct and only exist on that island and nowhere else.
NTT are Asian mix with Melanesian thats why they look Asian but they have darker skin and curly hair or American call it “Blasian” only some people have Portuguese blood. Pure Portuguese descendants live in Kampung Tugu, North Jakarta
❤❤❤❤❤

Keep up girl
if you can, please go to jayapura, papua
😅😅😅
PAPUA ITU SAUDARA KAMI PAPUA ITU INDONESIA OK🙏🙏🇮🇩🇮🇩
Dia PNS dan mengaku dari West Papua, artinya sebagian besar orang papua ingin merdeka😅😅
@virza2697 OT4K BAPAK KAU 78
@@virza2697lah kan memang West Papua diterjemahkan artinya Papua Bagian Barat karna pulau Papua itu terbagi 2, bagian Timur untuk Papua Nugini dan Barat/West Papua untuk Indonesia. Lulus SD nggak sih? Sekolah Pelajaran Geografi sama Bahasa Inggris selama 12 tahun gitu aja nggak paham, padahal cuma hal simple banget!😂
Diana u people surprise me when will u all face the facts that mixed people come in different colour shades, coarse hair etc even in Africa there are msny that group of people come in different colour shades throughout Africa its same thing visut Zimbabwe were coloureds live nd RSA there are dark, skin, light, Brown your complexions but are Coloureds. Mixed people come n all shades hair textures etc many people who think thry are pure black are not they sre mixed arab,Indian/black muxed who birth dark skin children.
FYI, there are estimated to be about 600 languages spread throughout the over 17,000 islands of Indonesia. In an attempt to unite the country, Indonesia standardized Malay thats so called Bahasa Indonesia and make it the language of law, politics, media and all other public forms of speech and writing. Under 20 percent of people are estimated to use Bahasa Indonesia regularly at home, but it’s taught widely in schools and is spoken by most people to some degree. Thats why your Indonesian bf and his fellow Papuan brothers can communicate each other. 😂
There will never be a last Papuan
