Professor, you are amazing! Since I started taking your virtual class, my PLO game changed drastically. In our texas hold 'em games, we are playing once or twice an orbit a PLO hand, I used to lose my stack, multiple times, in these PLO hands and decided to stop playing them. Now I can not wait for those PLO hands in the game and started playing PLO tables with great success. Players that know I am not playing PLO do not understand how I started playing and how my game has changed. I am raising, involved in pots and dominates their hands with the 3 hands rule . Going to test your double board bomb pots strategy in near future. Love the way you deliver your content, the jokes and vibe during the lecture. Thank you so much!
A few points. I like the positional thought process and putting your opponents on hands based on board textures, but: 1. If you are min-betting flop, then repotting someone who raises you, you are now announcing to observant opponents you are nutted on at least one board, so they can exploit you by calling and taking it away on texture changing turn cards 2. An opponent who knows you are going to bluff with pot bets on the turns and rivers will check made hands and let you hang yourself 3. By not betting big when you are nutted you miss value on a street that you may not recover on future streets 4. By not betting big on earlier streets you allow opponents to pickup turn draws that the pot size isn't large enough to price them off of (i.e. the K86hh board is very wet, make them pay on the flop to draw, now you get value when ahead, and make a large enough pot on the turn that you can protect your equity when it's a blank 5. Not sure how much you've played in Texas but lots of these players are just clicking buttons. Had a guy stack off as the 4th all-in pre for around a grand holding QJ42 double s00ted! Had another guy go ham for my 2k stack with 9643 double s00ted while he was complaining about losing 45k sports betting
I guess another way to describe the games in Texas that I've encountered is that players see a big pot brewing and they suffer from FOMO, and will stack off with all sorts of garbage just because they want to get lucky and win a massive pot, so you'll find people putting stacks in more regularly than the games I used to play in Tampa, and now you have to beat 4 or 5 other hands, which is harder to accomplish, so the swings are going to be more pronounced
Yeah I’ve played in Texas and remember the double board Bomb pots being pretty crazy! It’s because many people misplay them really badly! The only time you should be betting pot in dbl board Bomb pots on the flop is if you are drawing to the nuts on both boards or if you are nutted on one board and drawing heavy on the other…most people, especially in Texas, when they play these double board Bomb pots misplay them by starting off with a pot size bet on the flop…. And keep in mind everything is relative - if players have deep enough stacks they will be more cautious than if they are a short stack. Ty for the comment and Ty for feedback and watching!
@@PokerJeezus Stud is the game most prone to FOMO. I've been sucked out horribly on many occasions. People will call pot sized bets on 4th street when you have 4 clubs showing in the hope of making that miracle full house.
@@PokerJeezus It's technically not a pot bet, but they limit you to half the size of the pot. The advantage of it is it allows you to bluff the better players, while also punishing river rats. @ploprofessor is there an SPR going into the flop we (or our opponents) should have before we use these tips? If the pot is $160 and I have a stack of $500, are all the tips still applicable?
That game can be really scary I flopped middle set on a 2 4 T rainbow board but the other one was 5 5 6. When I got repotted I tanked and then concluded I had to go with it, as it was much more likely the other guy had A5, 65, 66, which is 85% of the time. Possibly even more likely, as a couple of other players had called my initial bet. Thankfully he had 66, which was bad for me, because I was getting freerolled on the other board, but thankfully it never came up and won a decent pot thanks to all the dead money.
Great question! Most of the time when I play DBBP - people look all confused at me because I will bet small on the flop. If the ante is 20 bucks on a DBBP, I will bet 20 if I have the nuts on one board and any value on the other; with the exception of straights (straights are the most dangerous DBBP because it’s easy to get quartered or free rolled). And if I have a monster on both I’ll still bet 20. What it usually does is it gets super tight players to fold, and someone who has a strong hand will end up betting full pot, and then I’ll drop the hammer and pot it back to them. It does vary on the table dynamics, but it’s amazing how often a tiny bet will induce a player who has second nuts (say a KT8 board with two hearts, and the other boards is 269 rainbow), if I have a hand like kk78 or kk69/ kk45 - I know I have the chance to scoop both and betting small with KkXx will 9 out of 10 times induce someone who has TT to pot it back. It’s crazy how often this happens. So yes, need to have the CHANCE to scoop (even if it’s a gut shot on one board). Ty for the comment and questions and Ty for watching!
I really liked this and want to test it out but i play $50 bomb pots at the Wynn 5-10 3k max often 6k effective so pot pot can get expensive (also we have to play double board hold em not Omaha) is using a feeler size on the turn to see how they react just to get a read and then going big on the river effective in hold em without so many massive draws?
DBBP in hold em I would believe would be more aggro if you have any kind of showdown on both boards. In Omaha when you go big (pot) - many times it’s because you’re nutted on one board and have nothing on the other.
It’s been my experience there is no need to slow play, and if you have such a monster that you have both boards - you should still bet because people will have enough equity to call….. I really do like a small bet to start - even with the nuts on both boards - it really confuses people and makes them pot into you! Ty for the comment and Ty for watching!

Have you played ultimate bomb pot yet?
Yes I’ve played ultimate hi/ultimate lo.
I really enjoy it and most people who play it make big mistakes when they focus too much on one board.
love it implementing now
The pickle position is key! Put your opponents in a pickle position! Ty for the comment and Ty for watching
Do you offer personal coaching
Excellent question! Yes I do - text me to discuss. 906.361.2509
I think slow playing will be hugely profitable as people overestimate their equity.
It’s been my experience there is no need to slow play, and if you have such a monster that you have both boards - you should still bet because people will have enough equity to call….. I really do like a small bet to start - even with the nuts on both boards - it really confuses people and makes them pot into you!

commerce has $30+ DBBP game every day. hosted by meeeeeee
Juicy! And super good to know! They are becoming more popular!
@@ploprofessor our game has been going for a year. prob the biggest continually running dbbp in america. ages get up to $100 on weekends.
Chase overpairs...??? Ya, come on down to TX boys, I'd love to hop in some bomb games with you? I'm joking but man....Idk about chasing overpairs in bombpots
Obviously you have to have a good SPR and so does your opponent! But yeah, they can be profitable.
@PLO Professor, I hear you, jus having some fun, good stuff!
Need better sound. You should dampen the far wall.
Finding Equilibrium intro music haha
You like the music? The intro music is the only music that’s consistent. When I do hands that I folded post flop - I change that up all the time! Ty for watching and Ty for the comment!
@@ploprofessor it’s not bad. i was just saying that i recognized it from this guy’s channel, as he uses the same music for his intro: ua-cam.com/video/4AUEyu9EmGg/v-deo.html
@@jcw8955 I didn’t even recognize that! Lol he must use the same software I do!
Good players know the button potting trick and will trap.
Of course good poker players will make adjustments and that’s what is so great about poker;adjustments matter. In the mean time you’ll surprise yourself with how many pots you’ll pick up simply by betting pot while in position. It’s very eye opening to all of my students and those who have tried it! This advice would never work on Sherzod or Drew
I try to eliminate the term Never - but I understand how some people come to those conclusions!

90% of people pot the flop, from what I've seen.
That’s really good because you can exploit that quite easily. Every region is different - but even as much as I travel I try to look for those local tendencies! Ty for the comment and ty for watching!
