AMAzing! Wow! This was so creative, beautiful, innovative, unique, original, artistic, breathtaking, fun, colorful...I am in awe. :) Thank you for this. You truly are talented and have a creative gift. :) Be encouraged. Thank you for sharing this w/ the world & for teaching us how to do this for ourselves. That was very giving of you. :) You truly make a positive difference in the world by adding beauty to the world w/ your cakes to help people (& God) smile. :) Keep up the great work! :)
Beautiful! Do you let the sugar sheet dry to the touch before applying to the cake? Does the sugar sheet become brittle or soggy after this process- does the amount of saturation of the water color change the integrity of the sugar sheet; do I have to worry not to saturate it too much, or is it pretty forgiving?
let it dry to the touch. if you put to much it will get to soft. they are pretty durable but if you leave them out uncovered even uncolored they will turn brittle. hope this helps
you can apply to buttercream. I would coat the back in crisco first to help prevent bubbles works best after cake has set in the fridge for an hour or two. also you can apply it to fondant too
extremely beautiful!! In the video you say it should only be attached where needed so I guess this method won't work on a fully covered buttercream cake?
Yes you can. I cover American buttercream cakes with icing sheets all the time. I just add a small amount of water along the bottom and the side edges.l then attach ;)
Hey KassCan I ask how far ahead of time the sheets can be painted? I want to do them a bit before the cake, but don't want to prepare them too early. Thanks!
+Jo March hi :) I would defiantly do them the same week and store them in a plastic Baggie But in all honesty the alcohol water colors dries so fast you can totally do them in the morning and wrap the cake in the afternoon if you want to do it ahead
I thought you were going way overboard with the blue, but it turned out beautifully. I love the 'confetti' trick! That would look so good on a Katherine Sabbath style cake. Is this stuff also called wafer paper or is that something different? I've never worked with it before.
+Matthew Ryan yes it is. Wafer paper is made from potato starch and is more transparent. The edible sheets are thicker almost think of a flexible cardstock. I hope that helps ;)

omg why did i only find this now? this is GENIUS!!!
I often cut letter on my Cricut and then paint them to match the cake. I always assumed everyone did the same. lol.
Cricut machines are so expensive! This design is brilliant! Thank you😊
Very beautiful.
Bom Dia minha amada🌻

VERY PRETTY!!

Thank you!
Do you apply this on fondant or can you put this on buttercream cake?
buttercream before it sets so it sticks on
you can apply to buttercream. I would coat the back in crisco first to help prevent bubbles works best after cake has set in the fridge for an hour or two. also you can apply it to fondant too
Wow I would love this cake for my birthday thank you so much
How soon after you paint this does it need to be used? I need to make gold & red stripes & stars for a cake. Can I do these the day before?
Do u stick it on fondant or butter cream frosted cake ???
Lol cookie-ing... love it ;)
What did you dilute the colours in? Alcohol or water? Looks amazing btw!
I put the link in the description box for the recipe video of how the watercolor is made :)

Thank you Kass! stunning technique
Picasso in the house!!
You could use the gold to paint the top of the lip and it would look great

+Cakes & Crafts by Kass thanks!
What do you do with the top edge cuz it's coming up the cake a little bit higher do you cut that with your exacto knife
I thought you were going way overboard with the blue, but it turned out beautifully. I love the 'confetti' trick! That would look so good on a Katherine Sabbath style cake. Is this stuff also called wafer paper or is that something different? I've never worked with it before.
That is edible image sheet :)
So wafer paper is something different?
+Matthew Ryan yes it is. Wafer paper is made from potato starch and is more transparent. The edible sheets are thicker almost think of a flexible cardstock. I hope that helps ;)
Thanks so much! Very helpful!
Matthew Ryan I thought that too , but with that splash of gold I understood why. NEVER question so genius lol
Minha amada eu gostaria muito, só da tradução, para o português do material que você está usando nesse seu trabalho.
Obrigada 👍🤝🇧🇷🇧🇷😘😘😘🌹
I think you meant the opposite of "liberally" :)
+Michelle Nicks haha! You know what I meant :) I use to have to do the videos in one take so any screw ups stay in lol
Haha. Yeah, 'sparingly'.
Thank u for sharing I tried one
How much time did the paper need to dry?
depends on how saturated the paper is and type of alcohol. higher proof dries really fast
how does it slice?
Hey can't find the colour discription...
How do you let it dry in open or cover it
open to the air
Where do you buy your cake boards?
at my local cake store
thanks for sharing
Can I pls know do u used vodka in your color
+kay thi the link to the watercolor recipe is in the description :)
Muchas gracias hermoso
Dose sugar sheet is the same as rice or wafer sheets?
they are not the same. they differ in thickness and opacity
Can I achieve this using wafer paper?
Это сахарная бумага? Она наклеена на мастику, или просто так рисуете?
Это сахарные листы, которые можно использовать в машине для сахарного принтера. Они застряли с гелем для труб.
Looks like two people eating ice cream do u see it too? At six minutes 49 seconds right on the bottem
It would have been better to do it on a real cake.
for demo purposes I use styrofoam or I would be baking all the time. lol
No.. not really you need to watch Flower box bakery vlogs and see how it's doing me
You have nothing better to do? Go watch their videos then and unsubscribe to mine if you don't like it.
