I'm surprised they didn't call out, at 9:58 when Xeph gets the spicy ringout and pops SC to taunt after the round, he actually pops SC a frame before the ringout registers, so it actually spends the bar and leaves him at a disadvantage in the next round!
I think Sophitia is the easiest to learn, but hardest to play. Since her moves are so basic, you gotta have quick reactions and know all openings to punish to deal your damage.
Thats part of playing a beginner character, since there is no skill required to play them makes them very suspicious and easy to read. A character like a Hilde/Setsuka is ten times harder to play.

She's got no real good mid horizontals, her verticals have tons of recovery on them on whiff, her ring out game is lacking (not to mention she can't reverse ring out anyone other than with a risky and extremely long B+K combo), she doesn't get oki off of many of her moves and she gains meters extremely slow. So I repeat: buff Setsuka

@@thenewperson The problem is that movement is super important in SC6. Being able to stop step is a core game plan in this game along with getting oki. Setsuka feels like she's playing a previous version of soul calibur in comparison to the rest of the cast. Setsuka can't generate your own offense like the rest of the cast because she has a lot of trouble stepping people from step and her verticals are easy to sidestep more so than in previous games so attacking just feels like taking a risk each and every time. Just as an example, outside of soul charge, Setsuka literally has just 6 horizontal mids. 2 of them she has to combo into, 1 she has to be in stance to do, 1 is rather slow, 1 is punishable on block and the last 1 she gets no follow up on, does like 10pts of damage and leaves her crouching so she can't do the move again. And about her RO game that sucks now. It's not that it sucks. It doesn't exist outside taking a lot of risks. It doesn't pay to not be in the center of the ring if you're Setsuka. So again: Buff Setsuka.
