I love when “instructors” actually show themselves playing. Lot of UA-camrs out there have all the instruction in the world but you never see them hitting a shot live or playing. Keep up the good work, love the content and your instruction!
Don't typically comment on videos, but just wanted to say, LOVE this type of content :) Even if it's not your typical instructional vids, stuff like this is just really fun to watch.
More of this pls! Love hearing ur thoughts and on how you navigate the course!
Always good to see how an Instructor plays a difficult course . Excellent round Jonathan , more of this please.
Really enjoyed. Nice to see an instructor who doesn't just talk technique and positions but can actually walk the walk. On a course. And when in trouble, recover. Too much positions and theory does people's heads in. Your vid also brought home to me how good putting makes a difference. Both your long lags and the 1.5 metre ones. Very solid.
Love seeing this great swing out on the course! Please do more of these!
Really enjoyed this post. Been a Laguna member for 30 years and it’s great to see how you make the Masters course looks so easy. Awesome to reach all par 5s in two and some of the shorter par 4s in one. Thanks for posting.
That 50 yard fairway bunker shot on hole 6 was incredible. Good stuff JKM⛳️
Only suggestion is to post more of these! Fantastic stuff! Any chance of a collab with Rob Cheney and Nick Taylor? Would be epic!
It’s so impressive how a long hitter demolishes a golf course 👀. There were lots of great shots and putts where u needed them too 👍🏻.
Excellent putting. I enjoy hearing your thoughts around the course. Since you used a "punch" shot several times on the course, we need videos of how you approach those shots and why/when you use them around the course. Great video.
Absolutely
Good round on what looked like some narrow fairways & lots a water! I take that any day! Thanks for sharing the talent!
Finally you are filming course vlogs. I feel like this breaks nicely from your typical contents - and tbh I enjoyed this one much more. Thanks!
Right there with the Golf Sidekick and "Not a Scratch Golfer" Look forward to more of these.✌
This was great! Please do more of these, you have a great channel
Thank you for finally showing you play ! Been waiting for so longg
Love these videos, not a one of us that wouldn't be delighted to shoot that score. Your putting was awesome, too!
Amazing round..... really good scrambling .... awesome content JKM... indeed
Love getting a chance to actually see you play--the makes and misses and thoughts along the way. More please, sir.
Love this!
Thanks for posting , I enjoyed watching. Sending love from
Canada.
learnt so much just watching you swing a club. please play more of singapore's courses and vlog em up!
Great video mate, thanks for sharing.
Great round Jonathan! Wish I could strike the ball like you do.
great video, hope to see more!
Awesome!!! more please.
Great stuff, Jon!
Nice video, crazy putting!
SHEESH!! Almost hit the plane on 18:50, nice content for real. Let's keep it going!!!
glad to see you posting videos again... love your instruction! So many new buildings going up I see. Is that a XX10 driver?
LOVE this! You're my favorite teacher on UA-cam, so it's cool to see you actually play. First couple shots-- "One of us!" LOL. I totally would have putted out of that bunker at 2:15 but that was a sick shot.
Definitely enjoyed that. I hope you do more of these. My only suggestion would be to use a zoom lens to help us track your longer shots better, although that would also require a friend to tend to the camera.
You’re my favorite instructor - it’s great to see you actually play.
Fantastic video!
love the course vlog! I am a new sub and I appreciate your content.
Great stuff Jonathan
Really enjoyed the round!
Hey Jonathan, hadn't seen one of your instructional videos pop up in awhile even though I'm subbed.. going to have a chat with the algorithm about that one. Anyways I've always enjoyed your teaching videos so when this popped up I was pretty excited. Only about 1/3 of the way through right now but so far so good and like others have said it's cool to see UA-cam teachers actually play a round. Keep up the good work big guy
Very good content, watched a lot of the swing videos last few hours. Might have figured out why I sometimes come out to in now. Off to the Trackman later today to test my (your) theories = D
Great round man! This is perfect example of how important lag puts are and putting in general.
Putting definitely can make up for bad ball striking haha
Love it. Consider posting some of your workout routine please.
Congratulations on 100k!
Great video. Just gotta say….your putting is pretty fantastic. Great pace control and green reading.
man you crush the ball on the course!
Bruhh I have been waiting for this day, I was wondering when you were going to start doing course vlogs
So sick man!
Great VLOG 👍🏻
I was surprised to see you using “the Claw” putting stroke 🤔
Also, on your second tee shot, it looks like your right arm is higher than your left at setup (when looking “down the line”). Is this something you encourage/recommend?
… or are you adjusting to something in your own swing? 🤷🏼♂️
Love that tee shot on #13 with the plane taking off 🛫
I’ve been hoping you would do a video on in course strategy, maybe more about your thought process on different shots.
Nice job 👍🏻
p.s. You’re right … worst feeling in golf: 3-putting after driving the green 🙄
… or any 3-putt when putting for eagle 😩
yooo new vid, nice
great video!!! always wondered how well you could actually play... I suggest for the next video, add some narration of shot strategy for a high handicapper...thanx
Nice job JKM
Wow. Great round of golf. BTW. A worse feeling than 3 putting after driving a par 4? Three putting after hitting a green on a par three. Looking forward to more course vlogs. Love your channel.
I’d love to see a what’s in the bag. It’s fun to watch you play after watching the instructional videos. One thing that might be fun is to share how you are trying to make in round swing adjustments on a day like that where you are missing your start line slightly.
Great video! Classic next, please.
Bro you got game!!! 🤙🏾😎
Love the fact you put your teaching to work. Just would like to hear your thoughts as you play instead of after. Keep it up.
Love vlog on course. like to see more course vlog more often
Loved seeing someone as good as you gaming a mizuno driver and see it launch bombs. Which model and what build spec is it? Cheers
Took me a while to get to this but I really enjoyed it. When you talked about "blocking" shots, do you mean you didn't get your right hip turned fast enough?
I like these vids as well. Is your left hand on the weaker side, 1.5-2 knuckles? I’ve weakened mine as of late and like the feeling.
This is great. Well done. The only thing I'd recommend is posting your score relative to the course at the end. Besides that I think it's a well done first step into the vlog world.
Love these types of videos! Think you could do a mic'd up version? haha. Anyways, keep up the good work!
Please do more course video's love it thanks 👍
Amazing
Nice job man! At 20:20 hole 8 was a par 3. The information that was displayed said par 5.
Inspiring to see you shoot under par even with all the missed shots
Nice video!!! Concise... good commentary...and it's in 60fps I suppose? Love the smoothness of the video...
Maybe next time you can tell us some tips on shot selection based on lie analysis etc more... thank you JKM
In Singapore you got groups waiting behind us haha and the marshals are super strict on time
22:48 Love to see pro’ play especially you, JKM. Just want you to add more comment why you selected club for tee off that not a driver, or a club that not typically used for. Also l like the way you hold putter which i will copy it for my next round.❤
Hi Jonathan. What is your background? I've watched a lot of UA-cam instructors play and you, by far out hit and have outplayed all others. Have you tried or will you be playing on any of the PGA tours? What are your goals?
Very good 👌👌👌
Amazing stuff, need some lesson from you at Golf Tech
I am no longer at golftec 😁
How can you make the 18 holes so easy? Love to see the technique on your punch short in your videos later.
Love the course vlog! Maybe cut down on the preshot footage IMO, hope to see more
Good good golf is throwing a UA-cam golf tournament ($100,000) you really need to be in it and Rick Shields has one in the pipe lines….
Would you say the recording effected you this round?
Awesome idea to do this, great to hear what you're thinking and how you plan around the course!!!
Texan here who mainly plays on Bermuda, what kind of grabby grass is on the course?
It’s like a mix between Bermuda and bent grass. Grass in Singapore is very sticky lol
앙드레김씨 고향이 전라도 김씨가 아니라 텍사스 김씨였나? 😆
@@oloxyea my Korean is terrible but I remember my grandfather taught me I was a Dae goo kim shee. Crazy thing is that I am considering moving out of Dallas and away from the city as a fashion designer for the Dallas Cowboys!
Good round. Is this a Pete Dye course? It sure looked like one.
Not sure haha
I would say only thing I saw was that if you used your right shoulder a little more to draw or fade drives you’d be beating most pros . Pete Cowan had a video instructing James Robison on using right shoulder and where it finishes in the swing to influence shot shape . -4 is a realy good round !!!
Little more short game practice and your on the tour brother !!! I am impressed !!!! Thanks
Is that an Odyssey big T?
Driver right arm at address in top of left hand is causing ur fade/block.. love the content by the way !
It’s not a simple track with lots of water hazards and tree lined fairways. Yet he made it look so simple 👍
You play much better than...a lot of golf coaches on YT.
Yeah that was my first thought too, this man is ridiculous if this is his B game lol
You should have taken a free drop on hole number one when you were standing on the cart path.
13:20 "Awful pitch by me."
Rest of us: "I'm on the green!"
330-350 yards average. So good..
"Again my buddy refuses to mark his golf ball." 😁😁
You're the male Genevieve Ling. Love your videos.😸
JKM may I know what's in your bag and specs.
I should make this video one day. I am planning to get a new set this year!
Is this course accessible for public and visitors ?
You will need to play with a member
WITB next?
🌹🌹
Great stuff. tell them to mark their balls!!!
I enjoyed this. Good to see the S&T in action. Would like to see some face on views. Weren't you hot wearing all black in what I assume is humid, hot weather in Singapore?
Haha it was a very early morning start so weather was perfect 👍
These greens must be slow. The way you hammer these lag puts, I've never hit a put this hard ever. I guess it's because I'm used to fast greens.
They aren’t the fastest but I was pretty far away haha the camera doesn’t do it justice
I feel like you’re gonna easily taken over the golf Vlogs on all platforms if you keep posting your rounds. Sick of watching the other YT coaches play and never go below par. Lessssshgo
Wish I can call a 400 yd par 4 short.
5 push-ups for the ball furthest from the pin at 8:16 ? I'd get ripped playing with your group
The kid can play now let's see him compete. Get in touch with your US counterparts and start shooting some content.
Face on view off the tee once in a while.
This is not an easy course. That I can tell you. To shoot under par is a tremendous achievement even for a golf pro.
Why did they refuse to mark? Choppers who felt the obstacles gave them a better chance? lol
Haha it was fine it wasn’t in the way.
나단이 공좀치고 영어도 좀 하네
