What do you like best about Apple Car Play in the New 2019 Mazda3?
Hi, I wanna know how do you write with that stick in Waze or something like that? Or you write in your phone while you connected to CarPlay.
Any aftermarket screens with touch?
Ugh!! How do I reset this and back to the originals like you just did. Enable it. How do I disable it? Because it’s not working on Mazda 3 hatcback 2020. My iPhone 7
Thanks for the video. I'm going to buy a Mazda 3 in a week and I wanted to be sure that it works well.
Eu023 It’s awesome! Enjoy your new Mazda3! Which model/package are you going to get?
Jonathan Sewell I’m in Europe so I’m not sure the packages are the same in the US. I’ll get the Executive SkyActiv G with Manual Transmission. Can’t wait to drive it!
Eu023 Awesome! I know it won’t disappoint
Hows the car, is it gud to drive?
@@syedakmal4748 yeah I really have no complaints after driving it for 14 months. It’s wonderful to drive and to look at!
The rear passenger vents are in the floor under the front seats
I accidentally pressed never enable. Now I can’t even get mine to do it only my friends phones will not mine what do I do??
Hello, for the apple car play can it be used just using the Bluetooth. Or do you have to use the USB in order for apple car play to show?
You have to tether it with USB as of now. There are some aftermarket accessories for wireless, but I haven’t tried them.
Hi Jonathan, does the traffic speed recognition still work with Apple car play? I have not found that it does... and I really miss it.
Are you referring to the traffic speed limit sign on the map/navigation? Or the traffic sign recognition in the active driving display?
Thank you for replying - on the active driving display. I LOVE that!
Unfortunately no it does not, at least not if you have a navigation app running through CarPlay.
Is this available only on the premium i have this car and ive tried and can’t seem to get it right?
It’s standard on the Select package and up. So select, preferred, and premium sedans, and all hatchbacks.
When using the gps on Apple car play will it come up on heads up display?
I’m purchasing a 2021 this week ☺️
The CarPlay apps will not show on the heads up display. Only the Mazda Nav will.
Does it also works with the USB port inside the armrest?
Ricardo Duarte Yes it does! I made this video for you:
ua-cam.com/video/34JEyQVzL4k/v-deo.html
Do you need to download an app beforehand similar to android auto or is it not necessary?
CarPlay is built in the iPhone natively. No app required. Enjoy!
Hi Jonathan just a question my mom has the same car we are in Australia. To use Apple car play do u need to have it plug I. The USB. Or is there a another way around it with out plug it in. And car text message be read out loud in Apple car play
lee it has to be plugged in to use it because of the large data transfer back and forth. When using with the message app you can choose new messages and Siri will read them to you.
it is possible to connect apple car play only by bluettooh without cable ?
Dany 02 Unfortunately not, a large data transfer is required and the cable is currently the highest bandwidth.
There is Wireless CarPlay, but the headunit needs to support it.
Hi, Does it can connect wireless?
B JYUN It doesn’t offer wireless connection.
Why my apple car play on mazda cx30 doesn’t have youtube? How can I have it?
Yehuda Aditya Putra UA-cam is not available on Apple CarPlay. They try to limit as many distractions as possible. Watching videos would be distracting.
I'm not sure why people don't understand this... you're driving, not watching videos.
Hey, does it work wireless, e.g. over bluetooth?
no, not for current gen mazda
Correct
Wireless CarPlay won’t be available until 2021 Mazda6. It’s a newer technology that is growing throughout car industry
@@JSS Thank you! :)
I have a 2020 Mazda 3 select and for some reason it don’t work for me.
Same I can’t get it to work for my car either only when my friends plug there phone into my car not mine
You can still connect just regular Bluetooth right ?
Not sure if you got an answer on this or not yet, but yes you can.
Abraham Colon the CarPlay works while tethered. You can stream audio via regular Bluetooth wireless.
Mine won’t work I’ve tried everything I can’t get apple car play
how come
Did you make it work ?
Mine won’t let me only whe. My friends plug there phone in my me
go to ur phone setting,general,carpaly
Technology is the Achilles heel of Mazda cars.. they are waaaaaaay behind, and I've owned 3 Mazda cars since 2003..
They are starting to make a turn, but I agree, some things they are still behind on.
omg ur so handsome
I can t watching youtube by apple carplay
Nope, no UA-cam.
I wouldn't buy this car because of the infotainment system. Touch screens are more intuitive and safe. Changing radio stations with that silly knob is a nightmare while driving.
It definitely is different, but like everything else, you get use to it after a while. It will be interesting to see what Mazda does with there next “new” vehicle redesigns. Thanks for watching.
Mercedes and BMW, to name a couple, have the same style of infotainment system- operated by a dial
Peter Dionysopoulos those high line brands were the motivation behind Mazda choosing it.
Some more info on this topic 👍🏼 www.motorauthority.com/news/1121372_why-mazda-is-purging-touchscreens-from-its-vehicles
I totally disagree. Physical buttons are way more safer to operate than a touchscreen.
