Lost my mom in 2006. I remember going into her closet for weeks later just to smell her scent on her clothes. She was my rock . . . Loving, supportive, fiercely protective, encouraging, forgiving, Christ filled . . . The greatest. She was a tower of strength during her fight with cancer. I only hope I can be half the person she was.
I just lost my mom 2 months ago, but I am so happy for her that she accepted Jesus a few weeks before she went to heaven. God is awesome, and answered every prayer. I prayed for her for 40 years, and she was 95 when she passed. Never give up on your loved ones! Jesus is faithful to bring them home with your prayers!
AMEN I lost my mom in an accident 2yrs ago, then 3 months later my Uncle died of Cancer, then exactly a year after my mom’s death my FAVORITE Uncle passed away , in the same hospital my mom died in.
Then my grandma passed away 8 months after my uncle passed away. She was 92. I think she died of a broken heart after having to bury 3 of her 7 children. She didn’t want to live anymore because she said she could not bury anymore of her children.
Out of the 4 family members, the only person I did not talk to about where they stood w/God & if they asked for His forgiveness of their sins so they could go to Heaven before they passed away, was my favorite uncle because the last time I saw him, his daughter had not told him yet that he was not going home this time like he thought because his liver was totally gone & they couldn’t save him. His organs were shutting down & he was going to die in that hospital. He almost died a couple years before because his liver was so bad because he was bad alcoholic & they told him then if he started drinking when went back home he would definitely die. Well he started off lightly drinking but the last 6 months he drank hard liquor 24hrs a day. Every waking moment he drank. He’d wake up in the middle of the night & make a drink.
It really bothers me everyday tho that I didn’t get to make sure he was right with God before he passed away.
My mom told me a few months before she died when I asked her if she was afraid of dying & she said no. She knew her heart was right w/the Lord & knew she was going to Heaven.
My Grandma said she had asked for forgiveness of her sins but didn’t know if He would forgive her because she broke 1 of the 10 commandments. I assured her that if she asked God to forgive her then He says in the Bible that he forgives us if we ask. My other uncle, who died of cancer, told me his heart was right w/The Lord, when I asked him. So I feel like they all are in Heaven & hopefully I will see them all again someday. Even tho we all say that we see them in Heaven when we get there, I have been unable to find where it says that we have will see our loved ones when we get to Heaven, anywhere in the Bible. My aunt pointed out that she couldn’t find it in the Bible so I started trying to find where it says that to ease her mind but couldn’t find it anywhere.

As stated earlier by another, I'm a grown man sitting here crying while listening to the lyrics. I lost my mom last October and there's not a day that I don't think about her and miss her. She was my rock. Then I lost my dad in February. I truly feel he grieved himself to death. Here I am about to turn 50 and feel lost without them sometimes. Mom's are truly the glue that holds a family together. Cherish the time y'all have with them. Life is too short.

Just lost my Mom two weeks ago today. Dementia and Alzheimer's however we were able to nurse her at home until the very end. She made it to her 85th bday and was gone 6 days later. Love your Mom with all your heart.

I lost my mom right before Christmas last year. She had just turned 85. I didn't get to see her during that final month In the hospital. I am 56 and have watched all 5 of my family members die but losing my Mom was and still is the hardest thing I have ever dealt with.

This song bit me this morning and I’m glad it did. I needed a good cry. Two years ago today, I lost my mom to alcoholic liver failure. She was 57 years old. I miss her tremendously. My Mom is elderly and has issues… but I seen the title Bye Mom and while I love Chris Janson I don’t think I would have watched the video right now. Something told me to. As I listened to the words, when the words “Bye Mom” came on I could feel my Son saying those words to me. He died last Month of an injury at 43 years old. Each time Chris sang “Bye Mom” it just hit me and made me cry. I could actually hear my Son saying those words. So many of the lines in the song hit home too. God bless you.

My mom has been fighting cancer now for 2 years . When she lost her hair she lost half her fight it destroyed her .but she was able to pick herself up and keep going . She went to the doctors the other day well the. Cancer is now all over they give her 6 months at the most. Cant deal with this . God bless

Saying that final goodbye mom is one of the hardest things I've had to do. She passed 3 years ago to colon cancer and I still think of her everyday. I miss my mom everyday. Never take your mom for granted because I did and I so wish I could do things differently sometimes. I just take comfort in knowing she's no longer in pain and I'll see her again one day.
I feel the same way. I wish I would had called her when she asked me to. I wish I had done the simple things she needed done. I went to pick up the phone and call. She was the best woman I knew , she was always there. She passed from a tomar in her head that was actually inoperable . she was 73 in 2001.I can't wait to see her and my daughter in law. I feel the same way. I also lost my mom to colon cancer on Christmas eve of last year. Tomorrow is my first birthday without her and the 8th month anniversary of her passing and it's going to be a crappy day, but I know she is no longer in pain and that she is watching over me and my family.

I'll admit this song was hard to get through. I lost my mom when I was 8 years old back in 95. So many things she didn't get to see from first and last days at school, graduating, my wedding and meeting her 4 grandkids. I would give anything to have 1 more moment with her, even just to say bye mom.

I lost my mom almost 3 years ago to Early Onset Alzheimer's (diagnosed at 56). I lost my dad 21+ years ago to non-smoking lung cancer. As an only child I feel orphaned as all of my other relatives are deceased as well. Music is the one thing I love that helps me get through life as my parents always had music playing in the house and car. 💜

I lost my mom 8 years ago July 31st 2022 I still seems like yesterday I was with her I had her on hospice and I was the son that took care of her the middle child it was so heart-wrenching to watch her loved one it's stood by you and understood your learning problems and your flaws going before your eyes it's just amazing that I was able to do it because of dyslexia depression anxiety I had to help her out of the world she helped me into the world there was so many things that made me cry because the hospital didn't listen to her in so many ways in her healthcare and she came home and I had to take care of a lot of things that no son should ever do she says I said well you did it for me when I was coming into the world so I'm helping you as you're going out and I do it all over again because she was my mom the greatest person that I ever knew

i cannot tell you how amazing this song is to me! i just lost my mother at age 93 after being apart for well over a year due to covid cases at the nursing facility she was in........i could not visit her.............when i was allowed to all i could do was look at her through a window....i finally was able to have a personal visit with her and that is the last hug i ever got from her.........this song brought me to tears and i love it!!!!

I went through one of the worst nights at work last night and managed to succeed for one of the first times in my freaking life. Something I know for a fact my mom would be proud of. I just stumbled across the song on the radio last night and let's just say the water works have arrived.
It's been almost 10 years and nothing can fill the void or numb the pain of losing your mother. I'm glad I at least got a chance to say bye to my mom but she never got to say bye back to me. She was already in a coma
MoM in case you're wondering I never forgot what I was told. You had much wisdom. I will always remember your love of Jesus and your strong faith. You taught me the importance of being strong especially for a woman. though I miss you much I know you're finally home where your heart always was. Till I see you again "It's bye mom for now" and "when the thought of you" I always shed tears.
I'm going through some things now that I could really use a hug from my mom but shed been gone 20 years. Just turned on UA-cam and this song was the first thing I saw. Got to say it tore my heart out. I listened to it 5 times though. If you still have your mom love her with everything in you...your dad too. You never know when they will be gone.
Its been six years since I lost my mom. She passed on in 2015. Yes, like so many I was crying at the end of this song. I miss my mom. Thank you for this song. Today, 9-1, was my mom's birthday. She went home to be with the Lord 20 years ago in July. Pancreatic cancer took her away from me. It was very difficult to see her waste away and in so much pain. I still feel the weight of her absence today. But I know that I will be reunited with her some day in heaven. I'm waiting patiently upon the Lord for that day. 🙏 I love you mom.

Only thing was there was no grave, her ashes were scattered in the ocean in Rhode Island in Oct 2019. I have one of her roses from her yard that she planted that I put inside the picture frame. I lost my mom nine years ago when I was nine. It's been a battle and still today i miss her. It's sad I forget her voice, her face and her laugh. It doesn't help I got a stepmom three months aftwr her passing who tried to wipe her memory.
This song makes me think of when I lost my mom, I was only 13 it was a little before my 14th birthday. She wasn't all ways there, me and my brothers had a rough life and not well family life but I still loved her lots and I'm glad that the last time I saw her we were having a good time. I still miss her and wish we had more time together.
