I honestly didn't have anyone question me. Also, I scratched out the date on my app and still got my visa within two days. Also the consulate never asked for hotels, flights or anything. It was pretty simple, easy and hassle free.
Very informative video, i used to live in Beijing and have traveled there many times after, the visa application process in Norway is a bit worse than most other countries because of a nobel price that was given to a chinese citizen which the government of china wasn't too happy about. But Beijing is at least my favorite city to visit in the world, it has everything, people are great, i have never encountered any problems there, no scams, no nothing (well, except for some beggers in Sanlitun, but i never really go there). Also being from norway, its so cheap i can live there for 6 months on one months salary :)
You should make a video about the updated online system that generates an application for you. They no longer have a pdf version of the application for you to fill out
@@ahrlj24 Things have changed since Coved 19. now you have to go through a 14 day quarantine before you can travel anywhere in China. your ticket to China will cost in the thousands of dollars not hundreds. Many china consulates are closed and you will prbably have to go through Washing ton D.C.
Great vid, very helpful and clear. I'm trying to go in the spring for a month. Can one get the visa if you book the hotel for only a night or two? Or do you have to book for the entire month? I'd much rather use the chinese equivalent of airbnb but I don't want to get into trouble or have the visa denied, and wanna know how serious the notion of designaged location is to them.
US citizens can apply right away for 10 year multiple entry tourist visa, same cost. Spend your $$$ wisely. If you are dual US citizen applying in the US, you have to submit US passport.
Funny I saw this today as I am just finishing up completing the visa. I'm worried that for some random reason it will be denied after I've already paid for flight over there!
Hi Wolter: Me and husband are planning to go to China on May. We plan to go on our own, not on a tour. Our son is a captain in a US airline so we plan to go standby. Do you recommend going by ourselves? What are the major concerns you believe we need to have. What do you recommend??
Is this process for just a vacation for a short amount of time that's included with the plane ticket like going to vacation to Mexico or is it something different? Thanks
I'm a US Citizen traveling to Thailand this spring. However, I plan on flying out of th USA staying in Beijing for a week before heading to Thailand. So I'm planning to buy a ticket from the USA to Beijing along with a ticket from Beijing to Bangkok. My question is, will the flight to Bangkok count as my return visa, and will they grant me a 10 year visa?
I'm going to china next month and our travel agent told us to apply 30 days before we go.... my family is freaking out cause the agency is completely useless
As far as you know, do you know if all visa applications are approved? When I got my visa to visit India, I was told to apply for a visa before booking the trip. I know you mentioned an itinerary is needed to be sent. I just don't want to book a flight and then have the visa denied. Thanks! I love your videos!
I feel if you are a normal tourist you should be ok. If you are worried I would use an agency as they probably would eliminate any of the little things that make for a visa hangup (they see a lot of unsigned passports)
I plan on visiting China next month, but live in Utah and no consulate is nowhere me. Which agencies have you used and can be trusted? Or can a family member directly drop off my information at one?
You have to have the copies of your flight itinerary, hotel confirmations before applying for the Visa? I was hoping to get the visa first, then book the vacation, is that possible?
you can book all those things via some websites such as "booking" or "agoda" then after you get your visa, you can cancel your bookings for free, for flight, you can go to a travel agency and print out a flight booking confirmation form (not sure what that's called, but go ask them, they know it), you don't need to actually pay for the tickets.
Sir, advance hotel booking is necessary for visa.? If after China entry my mind will change I want to visit other cities, so in that situation what will happen to my advance hotel booking..??
+Evi Etc Correct. People from most places will not need a visa to visit Hong Kong. Will need one for coming to mainland China for tourism unless a person is from Singapore, Brunei and Japan. Then they will just need their passport.
Okay Mr.woltersworld at firt thank you for all the videos that you been made it i been so fascinated in star traveling and i been watching many of you videos all ready i came back to my country after many years from usa n came back with my family to usa any how, i realised that what i want in that future is traveling so thank you agen but i got confiuse about to get a visa for traveling to china o maybe another country so my question is, My passport and greencard is not enough to go out of the United States o do i still need apply for a visa please respond thank you.
The visa requirements depend on the country of your passport. So if you have a German passport and a US green card you still have to get a visa that germans would have to get. Also if you live in the US but have a different passport you will need to send proof that you can live in the US. I would call the consulate of the country you are going to and ask specifically what you should do as you would be a special case.
The VISA application proces is even worse now... Now you have to type in information about your work(and boss info), your bank assets(WTF...), relatives(name, adress, phone number etc.), work history and study history etc.
Yep! Just went today and they denied my application because it was written with ink and it has to be typed on a computer. Also I don't know why they need so much info, parents names, what they do for a living, where you work.. Bunch of bullshit just to go there on a vacation... I need to go back and apply for Visa AGAIN!
You are probably right. Every visa I had around the world had that requirement. Their official website doesn't say anything about it but better safe than sorry. Great added comment! Thank you!
Any one have any idea if it is possible to get a visa without a flight? I will be coming with the trans Siberian, and then hopefully traveling down to Nepal with bus and/or train if possible.
For people that want to get a visa. Here's a little update! You can't write with a pan, now you need to get that info typed up on a computer.. The application has bunch of retarded questions, they want your parents names, asking what they do for a living, where do you work or go to school, what's your education status... Bunch of stupid questions... Too many questions and requirements just to go there for a vacation. Also like the guy said, they want photo copy of your passport, printed paper work showing your flights and hotels your staying at.... Bring passports pictures and credit card. They don't take cash and it costs $140 for the Visa...
And application. And picture. And all travel documents. Guess you missed that part. Passport issue without signing is enough of an issue that they remind you before you mail your passport.
if your return flight is departing from China, you need to have a multiple entry visa, if you have a one time visa and have used it, you cant go back for your return flight
Why in the fuck would you book your flights before you are guaranteed to even enter the country??? It makes no sense. Generally flights are none refundable
You blatantly or unknowingly failed to that there are special areas in China that you do not need a visa for if you are in transit and want to stay for up to 144 hours.
Does breathable air come with passport? Is the passport guaranteed corruption free? Do you turn over all your personal information, a DNA sample, urine, feces, semen, menses, blood, saliva, hair (especially back hair)?
I recommend Mr Marcus Magee to everyone here who's in need of a Chinese Visa to contact him and request for his assistance. I got my tourist visa through him. You want to clear overstay contact him too

Really? Cause I'm planning to go get my visa at embassy this friday but I don't have hotels information from the traveling agency I'll be going with.
I was going to say , I want to make sure I can get my visa first before I try booking a flight
Very informative video, i used to live in Beijing and have traveled there many times after, the visa application process in Norway is a bit worse than most other countries because of a nobel price that was given to a chinese citizen which the government of china wasn't too happy about. Why would you book a flight unless you know you will get a Visa ?
LETRENBLEU yeah it's fucking ridiculous
It helps establish your intention to return after your purpose of visit . So its required
Just get a refundable flight, refund it when you get the visa and book the actual cheaper flights
This is normal to me as a Filipino who needs tourist visa to about 130 countries.
like a 24h visa if you arrive in certain airports like beijing, if you have another flight out of china already booked
This was so incredibly helpful! Thank you so much!
Very good information! Seems like you have thought of everything. Enjoy the rest of your stay!
You should make a video about the updated online system that generates an application for you. They no longer have a pdf version of the application for you to fill out
Dammit, this seems too damn hard! Why do you got to have and show them where youre going to stay? Like they really care.
Apolleous† They Just want to make sure no 9/11 happened. peace and love only
emiratis have visa free access lol

Hello, I wanted to know if you need to have hotel confirmation if you are going to be staying with someone in China.

You should check out Guilin while you're in China. They got one of the most magical scenery there.
I am trying to get back summer 2017 to see even more.
Funny I saw this today as I am just finishing up completing the visa. I'm worried that for some random reason it will be denied after I've already paid for flight over there!
Yeah I had the same worries but all went well. You will love chiba my traveling friend!
When are you coming to Portugal? You should try Alentejo on the summer

Hi Wolter:

Hey quick question. I will be staying Airbnb with a friend I wont be staying at there home... that means I dont need a formal invitation right? :)
Is this process for just a vacation for a short amount of time that's included with the plane ticket like going to vacation to Mexico or is it something different? Thanks
That’s for the tips, but you threw me when to suddenly mentioned the double and multiple entry visa stuff.
What company did you use for the Visa? We're going in August and were thinking of doing the same thing.
What do you mean a photocopy of passport? Like... along with my passport, a copy of my info in the passport... the one with my picture and such?
I'm going to china next month and our travel agent told us to apply 30 days before we go.... my family is freaking out cause the agency is completely useless
For filing out the aplication, there is no check boxes to answer yes and No for the questions, can I just circle them?? Plese respond! Thanks.
How can I obtain an application for the visa? Thank you.
Super helpful!!!!
