Thanks Tiff. This is my first holidays without my precious mom. It's been hard and I don't feel like celebrating. Today is her birthday. The 1 year anniversary of her death is in January. Miss her so much and birthdays and holidays are not the same without her. I appreciate your encouragement and positivity. The glossy icing is Royal icing. I have to start using it again. It is super easy to make and fun to decorate with. I love using homemade buttercream as well

Hey girl 👋 long time subscriber and sugar cookie biz owner (was dying at “gingerbread girls moo moo”) ur a trip! Excellent pieces of advice you gave with refrigeration / freezing before baking, it always helps to hold their shape! And just use the Wilton meringue powder mixed with a little warm water, powdered sugar and food colorings of your choice to achieve the glossy look on top of your sugar cookies! However yours look fantastic! There is no such thing as a sad sugar cookie lol if you’re ever “next door in Jersey”, Look me up for some fun with decorating classes for the whole fam! (Sweet Dani’s Custom Cookies”) 💕

Unfortunately that won't happen. I do have my own family and my bfs family that love me. This month me and my family were blessed to have our rent paid for us. Such a blessing for us 🙏.

Also, so true words about expectations. Often, we and our own expectations are our own worst enemy. I used to spend so much time worrying about how things were going to turn out that I missed enjoying the way they did turn out!!

I have a hard time sleeping also ... My husband does shift work ... 2 weeks days then 2 weeks nights ... So I go with his schedule ... I have to take 10mg of Ambien sometimes ...

What hair products do you use to get your hair so shiny and sleek as someone who colors their hair I can’t even get mine to shine or look good at least and I have used deep conditioner and post shower serums and etc
The icing that cookie decorators use is called royal icing. It's really easy to make its just powder sugar + water or milk + meringue powder or egg whites. The trick is the consistency. You typically have a thicker one that you use for outlines and a thinner on that you use to flood the outlines. And then you add in your designs to the wet icing or wait for each layer to dry and build the design depending on the look your going for.
I take magnesium 250mg and it relaxes so I sleep much better than I used to .
