Back in March I dropped anchor in Fish Bay to visit a friend, Dylan, he pointed out your boat to me. I saw Zig Zag in Woburn Bay last week. I knew I had seen her before but I stumbled on your video yesterday and remembered Dylan called your boat Zig Zag
@@ZigZagSailing_113 I had a new to me sail sent to Dylans place in the USVI, I am on a mooring in Saga Cove now till the end of the month. My boats name is Venture, my name is Jay, I’m from Canada. Would love to hear more of your story. I know Dylan had a bower boat thar was moored close to yours in Fish Bay, his house was up the hill where you were moored.
hello y'all! I really love your videos. You continue to inspire me as I tackle other challenges before I rebuild my own Tiki 30. 1. I noticed that going up wind hobby horsing is an issue that you mention. I'm wondering what gear/ballast you keep under the bunks, midships. Others have noted our T30's are weight/balance sensitive. 2. How do you view the power of your 9.9hp 4 stroke? I'm going to repower my boat (it has a 20hp that's a real pig). Do you feel a 6hp would be too underpowered for the type of motor sailing you do? I'm looking to shave some pounds if I can. Thanks and safe passages, Ben
Six horse would be under power. If you want to save weight try to find a 9.9 two stroke. That’s significantly lighter than the four stroke fuel injected that we have. We also just purchased a 10x7 four blade prop made for pushing heavy load. We will see how much that helps.
For the pitching we decided it would be a better balance to construct a fore deck instead of trampoline. Adding more weight up front to hopefully cut down on the pitching moment
We want to wait until we go to the Bahamas this winter to beach her, as we don’t know the Grenada area well enough, also I think it’s frowned upon to intentional beach your boat long term in most islands. (if there is sea turtle grass/coral reefs ect… that we could be disturbing if we were to beach here) I am excited to beach, hopefully we can get a drone by then to take some epic shots!
Great video! We are presently in Curacao, arguably the best hurricane hole in the Caribbean if you change your mind. By the way, Donald Trump is running political ads, seeking donations on your channel.
Wow looking Very relaxed...
Man that's annoying having another yacht arrive and collide with yours thankfully no major damage to Your boat.
Small damage to the starboard stem above the deck but nothing major.

Nice! Does Dylan have that big powerboat in fish bay? What’s the name of your boat? We are currently in prickly bay. We found a good spot here

..if you're in a Wharram in the Caribbean, why not just beach the boat?

We had a plan to go to the ABC islands this summer but realized we aren’t ready to do a four day passage
I dont think they can control the TRE45ON ads on their channel?
