I had too replace the injectors on my 2008 D22 2.5 litre str Navara. After doing some research I found out that here in Australia the fuel (diesel) is pretty dirty. If u live in Australia it’s a good idea to fit a secondary fuel filter. The standard Nissan fuel filter has a 10 micron filter which will let contaminants smaller than 10 microns into ur injectors. The secondary fuel filter is 2 microns. The extra cost of having a secondary fuel filter is nothing compared to the cost of 4 injectors (2000 Aussie dollars).

I have a 05 yd25 pathy...I literally put new head casting on...was sweet as for 3 solid days....ran like a dream..happy days....until....lost all power...looked down and it's overheating...I turned engine off...pulled over...sat to cool down..steamy......went to start it...had trouble starting.1 or 2 times..got it started...done U turn to be on the safer side of road and dies on..me...so I tried to start again..it didn't sound right...so I looked under bonnet and it's spat the 2nd and 3rd injector out n oil everywhere..what would in the hell have caused this???...also there's no water inside engine....and still trurns over freely with injectors out and glow plugs out...what caused this? I'm having a bad bad run with this car...
2008 Nissan pathfinder engine rebuilt new double row conversion will not run with cam angle sensor connected, replaced sensor no difference, connected hard to start, stops dead under a 1000 rpm. Without cam sensor connected starts straight away idles smoothly no noises

Gday from aus guys, I've just bought a 2008 navara single cab rx, just done 180000km and only lately has had the egr block completed but I do have small amount of black smoke. Puff when taking off and a small amount under full acceleration. Just wondering if it could just need an intake manifold clean as i would dare say it would be carboned up and not allowing enough air in. Anyway any chance you can do an intake manifold removal video. Would like to clean it regardless. Cheers
Just bought a 2.5 diesel pathfinder. Nice when running but Very hard to start, runs lumpy when you get it running smokes grey / black at low revs and stinks dieselly - any ideas :( it runs ok when warm, shame it's a nice car otherwise! 😥
Hi I have a Nissan qashqai only 2 month ago I got a dpf warning light. I got that cleaned now there is black smoke coming from the exhaust when I exhilarate what do you think that could be.
I know this is an older video but I have a 2007 pathfinder with 200k km it has black smoke and had low power. I blanked the egr power then OK. It seems to run a bit rough at idle but OK at 850 or 900 rpm. I removed all injectors cleaned them and reinstall with new washers. Spray patterns looked OK with my basic test. If I remove the plug from each injector they all seem to have same effect on motor. If I remove any one plug for more than a minute the engine seems to Rev up to around 1200rpm even when I replace that plug it will remain at higher revs. I Rev engine and no black smoke but there is no real power until I switch off and restart then power back but black smoke returns. Any idea what to look for next?
It seems you need to get the injectors tested there’s 3 reasons of black smoke egr injectors and air filter and secondly the lack of power sounds like the SCV if you replace the SCV you will need to do a fuel pump reset and change the fuel filter Hopefully this helps you out buddy All the best Des
Good day. My d40 2012 is having a problem my idling is getting low that sometimes the engine shuts down. I did check the maf it is cleaned. Did a diesel filter changed and oil filter got changed. Still the idle is low around 400-450rpm. I did clean the throttle body
Nissan pathfinder 2.5d,turbo is not bosting... The big pipe that goes to the intercooler is not expanding when I put the car on 3oo reaves.. I tried changing the vacuum turbo boost valve but it is still not boosting. I removed mass air flow meter then it started showing a small difference positively. So does this mean mass air flow meter need to be replaced or it can be something else? Thank you
Hey my navara d40 engine is back pressuring its coming off the hose from the rocker cover to the air intake to the turbo when at idle its smoking alot blue. Can anyone tell me what is the problem with this.

I had a 2 inch leveling kit fitted on mine. I was going to have a go at doing it myself but ended up taking it to a local garage - but was glad I did. The back spacers went in easily, but because mine is a 57plate it had a fair bit of corrosion on the bolts that held the front struts in. As I understand it, the 2inch leveling spacers have to sit on top of the springs in the recess that the stock suspension sit in. The mechanic ended up having to buy a special 'nut cutter' tool to remove my bolts (these would normally be reused when fitting the spacer / leveling kit) thinking he could just use some generic strut bolts he had on the shelf. Problem is Nissan apparently dont use generic bolts on the struts, they use special ones that cant be bought seperately. So he couldn't put the front wheels back on... At his point the truck was stuck on his ramp, in his small workshop holding up other jobs. Nightmare. I phoned Des who kindly put me onto a company that custom fabricates bolts. Cost me about £300 for 2inches of lift - But it looks great. The differance is only subtle, mostly visible in the wheel arch space. In Hindsight I should probably have gone for a full after market suspension kit as I hear they are much better than the leveling kits (which still use the stock suspension). And another inch or 2 of lift - purely for looks :)

Hello, I have pathfinder 2.5 diesel. Scv gives 29-31 mpa At idle. And the ECU has a task of 28. Is this normal?. The engine is very loud. Pump regenerated. New injectors. Replaced the scv valve, nothing has changed. Now the idle pressure is 35 MPa Maybe it is about the thickness of Black smoke when starting off. Black smoke when starting off. And with acceleration. Trottle stops as I accelerate. When I drive at a steady speed, the rattling returns. When I drive at a steady speed, the rattling returns. I have a new injectors, pump, scv, maf, map, closed EGR. There are two problems. Loud, rattling noise like injectors and black smoke in first gear and accelerating. The engine is quiet when I accelerate and loud when I drive at a constant speed. Maybe someone will help?
I believe you are a zimbabwean. Any caused by cooling system not working properly. Cooling fan, water pump, thermostat or cracked pipes leaking. Simple diagnostics. Then misfire problem in cylinder are many factors eg cracked cylinder head, worn headgasket on cylinder number 1, spark plug or injector.

Faulty EGR or clogged DPF .. i had the same issues with my Navara .. i highly recommend to remove the air intake while cleaning the EGR ..
