Wow! We found out we love boondocking! We are glad we passed the @brokendreamsreborn boot camp! Do you think you would have passed it? 😂 Thanks for watching - Joel, Deb & 🐕 Maya
We still haven’t truly been boondocking either and we are looking forward to it this year! Thanks for all the info to ease us into it! Looks like you and Joel should be in great shape now with all those push-ups! It’s so great to see y’all creating content again!
We are happy to be back and having fun! Those push-ups really whipped us into shape! lol We were so nervous to boondock, but so glad we did it as we love it! Hope to boondock with you guys this fall! Thanks- Joel, Deb & 🐕 Maya
Thanks and welcome to boondocking. We also have a 40' class A and boondock often. Not for extended periods but typically 2-3 days and sometimes a week. There are some epic sites like Nomad's View aka The Wall at the Badlands. We also drycamp at NPS, NFS and CoE undeveloped campgrounds.
We are so excited to be Boondockers!! It is so amazing and the freedom!! We have looked at the Wall and we will have to be the ones on in the inside away from the edge as Joel is deathly afraid of heights! Hope to cross paths out there with you guys!
This was so awesome. Shion and Matthew were so funny. Here I thought you did good with the pushup’s…😂nope loved the bloopers. I think the cow knew your filming him lol
Haha! Thanks and rocks under the knees don't make good push-ups! Shion and Matthew are so much fun & we are grateful we passed their boondocking boot camp! 🙌🤣👍
Great video guys! We don't boondocks a lot, but the reason we do can best be explained by looking at the sky in shot at 10:10 of this video. The lithium batteries really are a game changers, we added 2 of them in when we bought our 5th wheel.
We love our Battle Born Batteries and they were a game changer for us! We hope you get out and boondock more this year! Good luck with becoming SD residents and save travels- Joel, Deb & 🐕 Maya
LOL 😂 @ having to go to GPS coordinates! 😂 Y'all did such a great job boondocking! We can't wait to see y'all do more boondocking! Y'all were such great recrutis and we have to get Maya to like boondocking! Her face and eyes were priceless! LOL 😂 ~ Shion and Matthew
We love you guys and thank you for all your help & whipping us into shape for boondocking! Maya was like, what? where are we going? what are we doing? 😂 But she loved it, just not the cattle and cow pies! 😂 Joel, Deb & 🐕 Maya
Great video guys - no reason you can't boondock in any rig, with proper planning! I think it's great that you guys are able to help others realize this. And awesome to see you guys with Shion and Matthew - we met them along with you guys at the AGM pop up concert. We love boondocking and that is our preferred way to camp. Great tips and very well done video - Stay safe!
Hi guys! We are so grateful to learn how to boondock! And the best is we got to meet you guys while we were boondocking again!! 🙌 by that time we were pros 😆 and on our like 4th time! Hope to cross paths again and see you guys next winter!
We can't wait to go park in the middle of nowhere and chill 😊. Looked like a great spot - glad you enjoyed your first boondocking experience! Thanks for sharing 😁
When I saw the opening scene, I knew exactly where you guys were camping. We loved that area and Empire Ranch. Glad to see that BDR whipped the two of you into boondocking shape. Wander On- Kyle and Michelle
We really enjoyed boondocking & BDR whipped us into shape for sure! 😂 Empire Ranch is amazing and can't wait to be back there. Thanks- Joel, Deb & 🐕 Maya
We have enjoyed boondocking for the past 30 years; the past six of those have been in our 40' Class A. We did eventually upgrade to Battleborns, and also installed 1600 watts of solar so we can stay out more comfortably, but managed without both for a coupleof years. We would meet you guys for boondocking anytime! 🙂
Yeah, princess there’s no hot tubs. 😂😂. Funny. Love how Matthew and Sion whipped y’all into shape. Great job on your first true boondocking experience. Free is always good. Boondocking dance needs work. 😂😂
We had fun boondocking and making this video! Lol and hot tubs are nice, but not out in the middle of no where! 😂 And the boondocking dance does need work! Love you guys
Beautiful thumbnail!! Broken dreams looked like great helpers and they sure whipped you into shape! That looked like a really nice , quiet and peaceful location fantastic u can see all the wildlife just not the poop! Great tips and advice we do boondock at harvest host and music festivals but would love to do more. Great boondocking dance your all so funny! Great bloopers!
Thanks! We had so much fun boondocking and hanging out with Shion and Matthew! And a little fun making this video! Lol 😆 - The cow pies were something else and why we need to buy and carry a shovel with us next winter! 🤣 Can wait to boondock with you guys! 🙌
We love boondocking in our DutchStar. Doing it on Lead Acid (8, 6volt batteries) right now, need a little more juice so we can have breakfast without starting the generator.
Don’t kneel on a cow patty 😂. We have boondocked on the Wall in SD but that has been our only true boondocking on BLM. It is amazing but can seem intimidating. Great tips by you and Broken Dreams (and fun). No hot tub? What the heck?? 😂. Having an automatic start on your generator is nice! Have you rescheduled your Alaska trip? Safe travels! - Mike and Shelley
Getting level with cow pies in the way added to the fun of leveling 😂 We are glad we survived the bootcamp and got a work out in from it! Thanks guys- Joel, Deb & 🐕 Maya
We were at a Harvest Hosts when our lead acid batteries started going on us and had to use the generator at 3:00 am! We are glad we upgraded to Battle Born and have been a game changer! We are so glad we went off grid and loved boondocking! Thanks- Joel, Deb & 🐕 Maya
Saving $$ to change to lithium! Love the idea of boondocking but not with our lead acid batteries! Loved the video-glad I’m not going to have to drop & do 10-bad left shoulder here!!
We did it when we deer hunted in the north woods we just called it deer camp ⛺️. We started with a pop up camper and a pail 🪣 in the woods and upgraded to a tt. Now we get electric at least. Thanks From Wisconsin
Glad you two are no longer Boondocking Virgins. Ok, have to tell you, this idea that you cant, or even shouldn't run a genny all night long is B.S. One of the benefits of dispersed camping...aka boondocking is that there is no "quiet time" on Federal lands. Last weekend we were at a Reservoir in S.E. Idaho and folks near us ran several Gennys all night long, I suspect (due to their age) it was to run CPAP machines. Fortunately they were Inverter Generators. Back in the day it was common to hear construction generators being run all night, unfortunately, even though Inverter Generators are fairly inexpensive, people do still run those loud construction generators. Angie and I were camping at Snowbird Mesa in Nevada a few years ago ans some folks made camp about 100 yards from us and ran a old Craftsman 5000 construction generator all night. I thought my teeth were going to rattle out of my head. Dispersed campsites are often "thumpin" with music blaring into the wee hours of the morning with folks drinking, dancing and singing. People head up the canyons to let their hair down, and not have to worry about he cops showing up and telling them they have to turn down the music like you would in a residential area. For 25 years (I am a retired cop) I used to tell the college kids all the time that if they wanted to avoid dealing with me and my buddies at 0300, to be smart and go party up the canyon like the locals, and not be having huge parties in residential areas as that just proved there were not from around here. At any rate, safe travels you two. Sean
We are both retired law enforcement too & if you don't want the cops called it's simple- don't draw attention to yourself! 😂 We think being respectful of others around you is what is important and yes, you can run a generator all night if needed. Especially, if you need it for a CPAP or other medical devices. We hope our paths cross and can be out boondocking with you guys. Safe travels- Joel, Deb & 🐕 Maya
Our time at AGM with you guys and how it happened still is so amazing!! We plan on doing a lot more this winter & if you need to escape for a week from the RV park we will let you know where we are at!!
We have solar stick lights and solar Christmas lights then along them. It is supposed to keep animals & snakes away from the RV at night. Not sure if it really does or not, but worth a try.
Wow! We found out we love boondocking! We are glad we passed the @brokendreamsreborn boot camp! Do you think you would have passed it? 😂 Thanks for watching - Joel, Deb & 🐕 Maya
You two did amazing
@@melodyassaro Thanks- we were so nervous and couldn't believe how amazing it is!
Great video ! Dang push ups 💪 you go guys ….
Hi! Thanks and those drill sergeants were tough on us, but we survived! 😂 Joel, Deb & 🐕 Maya
Awesome!! Wish we would have caught up with you two before we left Benson. Looks like a great spot!
We are so sad we missed you guys and this is a great spot! Highly recommended it! Safe travels
So glad you all pulled it off! We went ahead and put some solar on the rig. We had such a good time. now we will see you guys in the bush! Thomyt
We can't wait to see you guys!! And how nice to have solar now too!! And way to go on your health journey! You are looking good!
@@ChasingOurSunshine But I still don't have the bitchen guy batteries..............yet! That's next.
We love our Battle Born Batteries and a game changer! Lithium is worth getting and can't wait to see your set up!

Boondocking is always our go to it possible. We do have 800 watts of solar, though.
You are lucky to have the solar! Boondocking is so wonderful and we can't wait to do more! 🙌

That's awesome! We are trying to justify to cost to solar!
We love boondocking in our DutchStar. Doing it on Lead Acid (8, 6volt batteries) right now, need a little more juice so we can have breakfast without starting the generator.
We only had 4 lead acids & it can be done! But so much better with our Battle-Born lithiums! Boondocking is so awesome & way to get out there!

Kneeling on cow patties is no good!! 😆 and yes, we are heading to Alaska now in 2025. Had to change plans & can't wait to go! Thanks, guys
That was a fun video..... I wonder where that Full-Hookup spot you're heading to next is?? 🙂 See ya soon!!!
We really enjoyed our time boondocking - but the next place was a blast too! And you just might know! 😆 🙌
