And BY THE WAY who gives a shit about the fact that you do the vibrato with your palm on the bridge rather that with your finger. You mastered that technique very well in this video. So in the end it's always whatever works best for you and not what other players do. Keep the great work. Your playing is tight. Cheers!
@@AlexandreAlagoa yeah have to point that out as well. It's unique but is there any reason you use your right hand for vibratos instead of your left hand?
Ha so there is a good reason for the vibrato. Just stumbled upon his videos just now and thought he practiced so long and so hard to be this good on a guitar with a tremolo system for years that he can’t help but use the “phantom vibrato bar” on this non tremolo guitar out of sheer repetition lol I know it’s dumb it’s what my brain came up with off the top of my head. Great playing and content. I’m a huge Marty Friedman fan and Megadeth solo covers are incredible. Had to subscribe after that. Best of luck
Hey! What do you mean by that: how they are called? Hmm, at 5:18 to 5:23 I'm doing alternate picking with the strings kind of muted by my right hand. Then at 5:07 I'm picking the first two strings and bending the second one. Was that what you were refering to, or is it something else? I don't know if there's a specific name to the type of note.
Alexandre Alagoa Works oh ok i was just asking to see if it was called something cause i love the way it sounds, very shredy, and the other one at 5:07 ive heard someone say what its called when you do that i just cant remember.
I do the same thing with using my palm on the bridge instead of a bar. I don't see the problem really. Hell, I even take the bar off sometimes and just use my hand.
Cara, perfeito. O solo ficou igual a versão de estúdio. Sou fan do Death desde 1994. Queria muito ver um cara com a sua qualidade tocando Alguns do Control Denied. Tipo The Fragile Art Of Existence.
I'm thirteen and i'm all into metal; from Korn, Disturbed and A7X to Death, Pantera, Messugah and Exodus. I've also played the guitar since i was 10 and due to my 5-hour practice everyday i've reached a (to be honest) very high level of playing. Today i did a Van Halen tribute at my school and next one i want to do is a Dimebag Darrell one, but i still need to practice. Your work inspires me and you play beautifuly clean, wich is very hard to develop. Thanks man! Keep it up!
Sorry I answered you with my other account! Eheh that's cool, I remember when I played at school with some of my mates :) good days... Just keep doing what you love dude, and if you commit to it it will pay off one day :D have fun!
thank you! Yeah, can be a bit painful, Hmm well, if I'm usually changing between 0.09 and 0.10 I will tighen or loose the springs holding the floyd to make sure the bridge doesn't bend. But other than that, I guess it's the usual thing!
Alexandre Alagoa Tight and loose the screws in thr back of guitar or screws on floyd? i have no problem on standart tuning , only at drop, Sorry if im being annoying
No no dude, you're not annoying ahah :)) So, when you drop the sixth string to D (I assume) it goes out of tune? For example (and this is just what I do, I'm by no means an expert on the mechanics of the guitar) I usually use 0.09 for E tune, and 0.10 for D tuned strings. So, if I'm on E (using 0.09) and I want to change to D (0.10) I will work on the springs on the back of the guitar: tight or loose the screws like you said, so that the bridge doesn't bend because of the string change: because the different strings (or different tunings) will apply a different strength on the bridge. So, if you haven't, maybe you could try to work on those screws on the back of the guitar; otherwise, maybe try to just play without the screws on the bridge and neck, and adjust the tuning without them, and after playing for awhile adjust the tuning, and after doing that for sometime put the screws back on.
Thanks dude,!!! This was very helpfull, i guess the wood where the screws are attached at the back of the guitar doesnt get hurt by loosing or tighting the screws very often ,
You have the most accurate of all Death guitar covers I've ever seen on UA-cam. Great job. Do you happen to have the tabs you used to learn the songs do accurately? Or where did you get the tabs from?
Thank you so much! I usualy get my tabs from ultimate guitar, but if I think the tabs are not that good, I try to learn the songs by ear or by watching live videos of the band playing, or other covers!
Bro how do you vibrato so perfectly using the whammy? What i mean is that ive tried using the whammy for vibratos but the whammy is too sensitive to do vibratos that mimick the finger.
+Tom Dee Thank you so much! :) My guitar has duncan designed pickups. About the effects, I just used a bit of reverb for the solo part and that's pretty much it.
Thanks for your reaction! So, the intro doesn;t have any effects over it but reverb like the solo's? Very glad to hear they are Duncan's. Just order me some blackouts for mmy 7 string. Hoping to play a lot of Death on it in th enear future! Thanks again!
+Tom Dee It was recorded a while ago, but I'm pretty sure that's it. Usually I just use a bit reverb for the solo parts, the rest doesn't need any effects really... Yea, the pickups came with the guitar, I haven't changed anything. Eheh yea do it man, Death feels amazing to play
Just do you, man. If it wasn't on video for people to actually see you doing the whammy bar vibrato, you wouldn't get an comments about it. Sure, it's better to learn both, that way you're not limited in case your right hand is busy. But regardless, do it the way you like, but don't limit yourself as well.
I don't pay much attention to equipment and settings really... I just try to adjust it the best way I can by ear. My amp is a 80watts ashton, and I have a Michael Amott zoom pedal. Then my guitar has duncan designed pickups :))
A little noise in sound, just don't let it exceed 6 dB. And vibrato in your solo is better to do with your left hand for a lively sound. But on the whole it was a good attempt. Good luck, man!
+Evil Hour thank you for watching :) yeah my playing is not that clean, but since I record both image and sound with a camera it doesn't help much. Yea, my vibrato is addicted to the whammy thing... Thanks again!
Intro was very good. Rest of it, ehh, ok I guess. That "whammy" thing was annoying. Just use the actual bar man. That would be more impressive then a push depress on bridge. Chuck was so great because he had that vibrato in his fingers. Check my flesh cover to see what I mean. If it isn't clear? Cheers
+OmniscientVirtuosity Thanks for the tips man! I saw your cover, pretty cool dude :)) Yeah, I definitely need to work the vibrato with the left hand, but I kinda became addicted to the whammy bar, unfortunately... A lot of people have told me about this... Thanks for watching!
dude I watched your video and your not even playing the intro in the right fucking key! your a jackass and shit sloppy player! keep your fucking mouth shut cause this guy blew your ass out of the water! go home and practice fuck wit

Really unusual and interesting way of doing vibrato. The playing was absolutely spot on

Vibrato sounds perfect, good job.
