To those who are very concerned about Botan, I completely understand but rest assured, for her liver, rather than "Totally Downed", its more to "Kinda Dead". And she mentioned in the stream that she is taking steps to prevent from being "Totally downed".
For "Yasundenai" too, rather than "Cant get day off", A more accurate interpretation is "Didn't take day off" , as the former implies Cover Corp doesn't give them day off.
She is taking steps to take care more of herself, by planning to end all her stream from now on before 1:30 AM, so she can get more sleep. As she haven't retweet anything beyond 1:30 AM, we can say she is sticking to her plan.
She also didn't order takeouts this month and have been cooking herself these days, and cooked many vege and healthy dishes.
The point is, dont worry about her too much and its better to support and cheer her on in her endeavor for a healthy lifestyle.👍

It’s crazy how she can make the subject of a “downed liver” somewhat laughable. But seriously, I hope that Botan takes more breaks throughout the weeks, or just takes a big break in general to get better. Her passion for her work most definitely shows in her streams, but I’d much rather have less of it for a while if it meant that we SSRBs could be with Botan for much longer in the future

And Botan herself is currently taking measures to restore her health, so We could only support and cheer her on in her endeavor, as asking them to take a break when they don't want to will just be disregarding their efforts and desire to stream.

What she said was しんでた so this could mean "had been in low spirit" or if you wanted it in full, since in spoken JP they like to cut things, しんでいた. While this technically could mean "was dying" as well I doubt she would be laughing if she literally meant her liver was dying so I think the meaning she was going for is "was sick" or "was not functioning at 100%", hopefully that makes sense and wasn't too much of a ramble
Botan sounds very busy behind the scene, like of you notice, she always appeared in 3d live concerts
And 3rd Fest is coming up real soon, so the dance and singing lessons must've been tough too
If her room has plenty of space, I'd recommend a standing table. Helped lots when I was sitting around all day, I'd just stand up and work after like 2 or sth hours of sitting.

Streaming is like self-employment, you are mostly your own boss...so i think it naturally leads all vtubers to overworking.
The line seems pretty blurred because your career and dreams are the same.
Hope Botan can find a healthier way of living, esp. seeing Nene, Aqua and Shion.
Not just that, streaming is a job where they can chat a lot, adored by many fans, while receiving money. For girls, It's really hard to not get addicted
Hololive members don't just stream though. They regularly do things like recording for songs, singing and dancing lessons and attend meetings at the hololive office.
I hope she doesn't burn out, she still needs to laugh at so many things
It does sound very bad when you tell someone you're literally working every single day nonstop, but thankfully they're effectively their own boss so they can choose how long they work for every day. Plus they love their job so it's not anywhere as emotionally draining as a boring desk job. But of course they should take real breaks often!

That can also lead to people overdoing it and hurting themselves, which unfortunately happens all the time on Hololive :(
You realise they have managers and set up the stream time and her offline activity. If they don't do what managers told them I think there be repercussions
@@bakagamingcommentary Their managers aren't the streamers. They decide what day and time they stream. They decide what they want to play and who they want to play with.
@@Timeyy That's what all streamers and youtubers do, it's not exclusive to Hololive. Obviously that's not a good thing at all, but that's why I say they should still take breaks often.
@@bakagamingcommentary the "managers" are just secretaries in charging of handling communications between the talents and the company, as well as keeping track of their corporate appointments. The talents are self-employed contractors; they're required to stream a few times per week (so they offset the administrative costs), but that's about it. Their private life is their own business. The managers aren't even allowed to wake the talents up if they're late for a scheduled stream, unless it's a sponsored one.

What's a black company?
A company that assigns a lot of extra work so that you have to work overtime and on weekends to get it all done.
And they punish you severely if you don't work overtime and on weekends.
And they punish everyone a little bit for not getting enough done, even though it's literally impossible.
And they use emotional manipulation to make the employees feel like it's their fault.
According to manga I've read.
An exploitative company, one where they exploit their workers by forcing them to work longer than is allowed to, and pay less than they are amounted to.
Hot take: At some point Cover has to step in and protect these girls from themselves, otherwise they really are a black company. I don't want Botan to suffer permanent liver damage for my entertainment.
They already started mandating more time off AFAIK, but they can't really stop them from spending their free time making thumbnails.
But here's the thing, the talents are not employees, they're self-employed, contracted to perform a specific service for the company. It's none of Cover's business what the talents do on their private time, as long as it doesn't interfere with their contract. It wouldn't be appropriate to force the talents to pay for treatments or services they don't want or don't need.
Cover only need the girls to deliver stream 3 time a week(as stated in the aplication postor)
