So pleased for all the team who made this happen. Pete has such a passion for this hobby and has brought together some great people to give something to everyone to enjoy. Great ambassadors for the hobby, if only some model railway ‘big noises’ on UA-cam could manage even 1% of that positivity.
Dave you have done an incredible job not only on this video, but in documenting all the runs and the weekend. Thank you for your tireless work - you should be very proud of the achievement.
Fantastic video Dave even my wife likes watching your videos. What a task to measure and document all those tracks measurements. Well done Pete and the Railnuts Chris and Dans heads must be .spinning with all thst information.Looking forward yo seeing the layout at Chester Cathedral will that be Making Tracks 5??Have a well deserved rest now lads
well done XX after all that set up, testing and re-testing, then the final adjudication you must have all been exhausted ... I hope you all had a good rest afterwards
Congratulations to all involved in this fantastic achievement. 👍 I would love to have been able to see it in person, but unfortunately, health gets in the way.
It goes without saying I ( along with many others ) we had NO DOUBTS you Pete and the RailNuts would be the first of what will be a VERY LONG, long record !!!!!! I do have a question though, do you ALL get a Guinness plaque or just one ????
All very interesting, and thank you for making your video available via UA-cam. My wife, who is not an engineer, has asked a very interesting question: how did you account for one rail of the circuit being longer than the other (due to the curves at each end)? Thank you in advance.
MATLAB was very in the development of quantitative hedge funds, because of it's ability to deal with matrices. In other words, it helped some people get very rich!!!
Thank you for responding. However, I was not referring to the TRACKS. I was referring to the RAILS (a track being comprised of TWO RAILS). Please reconsider my comment. Thank you.

They measured each track.

649.9m wow .................. what's that in scale miles? 694900mm/4 = 173725ft/5280 = 33miles, I think I'm doing something wrong😞
