- Today's Valentines Totoro themed video takes a look at how to easily digitize, add lettering and position a custom image using Hatch Embroidery Software by Wilcom. I show how to prepare an image for digitizing, how to arrange a design and also how to add the text. You can visit Wilcom's website and download a free 30 day trial. The link is below. As well a link to Inkscape. Enjoy!

Is there a video on how to digitize a photograph
Thank you so so much for these amazing videos! You have been a great help with learning embroidery software. You have pretty much sold me on Hatch alone. Wondering if you do a lot of cap embroidery? If so, would love to see how you prepare a file for it. I'm a beginner and have heard a few people mention that files should be slightly curved to follow the curvature of the hat? Sounds a little complicated. Any explanations, I would be most grateful.
You are succeeding in making me want one of these embroidery machines!
Could you do an episode on the various free (non demo) softwares you've tried? Hatch looks nice, but at $1188, it's a bit out of reach for someone like me.
Dude! What did you put that Team Mystic logo on? I just digitized the SAME THING in Hatch and embroidered it on a piece of Cordura 1000D that I made into a cargo pocket for part of a Christmas present. Wow, like minds.
It has beed awesome, I've got a doubt ... should I get this Hatch or should I get the Wilcom E2? and what would be the difference... hope someone can help me, I'm starting but I'm a fast learner thanks !
to advance for me I have trouble finding my inbox...lol but great toturial for those who are computer savvy...
Are you still using the Brother SE-400 machine?
Also, are you importing the .svg directly into Hatch? How are you doing that? I haven't been able to unless I export it as a high resolution bitmap and then import it into Hatch. This is my biggest (and at this point, kind of my only complaint). I have the full suite and it would be super nice to be able to go from standard vector (because, well, it's STANDARD) into Hatch and just have it translate objects. I'm fairly sure an .EMB is just an enhanced information .svg file anyway, so I don't get it.
+NGinuity I am working on a step by step video for this. It should be out on Friday. Thanks for watching!
I want this program
For some reason my designs don't turn out how they are supposed to... I have been trying to do the linkin park logo that I downloaded from google and then auto digitize it. It looks good in the hatch software but for some reason my brother machine detects threading where it shouldn't be. It shows on my embroidery machine the way that it should turn out correctly but then ends up adding a bunch of lines I didn't want affectingly ruining the design. Does anyone have an answer to this?
Great video. I'm a fan of your channel. I'm new to Hatch. It would be helpful if when you make your selections you be specific about what you select....it's hard to see your cursor. The added text is very helpful. Thanks so much.
