      OML Embroidery yes it is. I love it. Most people are very hard to follow... they go so quick and make it look like they get things unrealistically perfect.....you, however, make things so easy to understand and I LOVE that you don’t edit out all the fiddling to get things just right, and instead patiently show how to work through all that as it happens in reality.... THAT is exactly what I have been searching for.

    You can hold Ctrl for ortho snapping. It makes digitizing straight lines for letting much more precise. You also don't need to use anywhere near as many nodes as you use.

    • @OMLembroidery
      @OMLembroidery 5 років тому +2

      to node or not to node, that is the question. Of course you don't want a billion nodes, less is more, but ultimately it is up to the digitizer :) and yes, I use CTRL all the time, but I don't always include it in the videos. Less is more here too, ha ha.

    Thank you for this really interesting video, I do not know how I missed this one. This has given me confidence to have a go , fonts being something that I have always avoided.

      fonts can be tricky and you want them to stitch out and look great. Have fun - you can do it!

    What if you want letters that are very large? Use tatami? Have watched most of your videos. Thanks, they’re incredibly helpful!

    how would you digitize an alpha O?

    Thanks Sue! Great information. What kind of underlay do you recommend?

    • @OMLembroidery
      @OMLembroidery 6 років тому

      the underlay would depend on the size that you are making the letters - the larger the letters, the more underlay you need.

    What would happen if you just right and left clicked a closed shape all around the letters? Why do you have to do it in sections? (Thanks for your videos...they are awesome!!)

    • @OMLembroidery
      @OMLembroidery 5 років тому +1

      you could digitize letters that way, but if you were doing satin stitches, you might end up with long satin stitches - or the wrong angles. Also your lettering would be kind of flat.

    Hi -
    Is there a way to adjust the auto jump to higher than .50 ? I have been digitizing letters with satin stitch and if the letter is wider than .50 it will trim each stitch . Is there a way to alleviate this ? BTW I love your channel and I tell all my friends about you!

    Can I do this when I only have Creator (one level before full program)?

    • @OMLembroidery
      @OMLembroidery 6 років тому

      You need to have the digitizer level to do any type of digitizing in Hatch.
