Lissy Ze Llama they had him to several accents before choosing to do English. Cuz he is American and no one knew it till after the show ended. He even said I forgot I was pretending to use it and it became natural after 8 years.
If you want to hear more of James Marsters, I'd recommend the audiobook versions of "The Dresden Files" by Jim Butcher. He's done the audio for at least 15 books by now, and he does them so damn good. American accents, british, russian...he does them all. And the book are great. I would definitely recommend them!
I'm so used to British accents, being from London, that James Marsters' British accent affected me much less than his amazing looks and personality but his American accent... Gah! I had to just wipe drool off of my phone screen. AND THE GUITAR!
@@hellraiser5554 British accent could refer to any one from the UK but yes he is trying to speak with an English cockney accent which sometimes doesn't work
[No Joss, I'm actually not a fan of musicals and this episode is not one of my favourites but] Thanks for uploadind!! I love your channel!!!!! Buffy is Life
Musicals are beyond stupid. Just remember this the next time you try to take advice from a celebrity, they are just the theater nerds from highschool, overly dramatic and just interested in song and dance.
@@angelgutz5897 and nobody asked for your reply, hypocrite. It's pretty funny though, my comment is about theater nerds being drama and here you are...being dramatic.

Hearing James Marsters' American accent is just wrong, I'm so used to hearing him as a Brit!
