I feel ya,...I was with my first boyfriend for 15 years...was engaged for awhile, but I just couldn't go through with marrying him. I loved that boy to death and would've done anything for him....and I tried- for years but all it did was drag me down with him. I finally got the courage to leave him, and hoped that it would open his eyes. However he only got worse, as I moved on and became a much better person. I still see him walking around sometimes, is so far gone, and homeless in and out of jail. I have watched a lot of people I love be drug down by their addictions, and it's so sad.
