      @@Nicks-BBQ I'm doing good. Got a nice promotion at work so i guess hard work pays off. Lol. How are you and the fam? Fully adjusted to the move yet? Ohhh and hows the baby?

      @@orlandorivera164 baby is doing great almost 3 months now. My boy turns 2 this month. Pretty adjusted to the move and work schedule. Our plan it to upload every other week for a while until I can start only working 44 hours a week. I work 11 hour days and I'm working 55-66 hour weeks at the moment. So there's no way I can post once a week doing those hours. That's awesome you got a promotion! How did that all happen

      @@Nicks-BBQ Wow how time flies! Dude you are a grinder, salute to you for working so hard and still putting up content. I am so blessed, all i was doing at work was taking on more and more responsibility. It felt too much at times but i kept a smile on my face and never showed any signs of giving up (even though i wanted to say i was overwhelmed). Then management pulled me in and offered me a position that usually is offered to a person with a college degree(which i do not have) and i accepted. I am even more overwhelmed now but my motto has always been..if this person can do it, i can do it. So i just keep trying to learn. But man I just always have to remember to stay humble, be appreciative and no matter what..have a positive attitude.

      @@craigmiller752 dude, the parrot turned out amazing. It was definitely the second best thing that could talk I have eaten. I haven't tried penguin YET, but if I even get my hands on one of them fatties you can bet it's going in the smoker. Do you think a zoo would sell me one?

    Damn you! Now I need to get a chicken... I brine every piece of poultry I cook (minus wings) in a dedicated Igloo drink cooler (what they dump on the coach at football games). I'd recommend not putting the brine in the fridge while it's hot though. You'll heat up everything inside way before you cool down the brine. You'd be better off getting ice and dumping the brine over it. Cools it down and gives you the added water you need.

    • @Nicks-BBQ
      @Nicks-BBQ  2 роки тому

      In the video I said to let the brine cool in the counter for two hours before putting in the fridge. You might have missed that part. I agree putting hot brine in the fridge is a bad idea. I typically don't brine because I don't plan ahead and now I regret never planning ahead lol. This was so good!

    • @Nicks-BBQ
      @Nicks-BBQ  2 роки тому

      That is a good idea for the ice though!
