  • In this video we are going to show you how to repair your 2017 Ford Superduty if you get the P2200 or P220E codes. It is most likely the same process on many different years. Its an easy repair for the most part, the only pain is to your pocket with the cost of the part.

    Thanks for the video. I have water intrusion in the connector that plugs into the NOx module.
    I cannot find a replacement pigtail, harness part number, or how to take apart the connector. Any help is appreciated! I’ve spent hours looking online. 2017 f350. Thanks

    Did this code happen to affect anyone's dash cluster or radio? Or have a clicking in the dash to your left leg like a relay? I toon my truck in(47k miles 19 year model) and they said my batteries were bad. I said bs but paid it anyway (out of warranty for those) and the problems back now worse than ever. I had the p2200 code and few more when I took it in but the dealer said to replace the batteries first to make sure the codes weren't from bad bat's. Looking back this whole conversation pisses me off now but back then I was willing to let it go. They had my truck for month. Also I too have an S&b battery swap.

      Didn't effect us. Weird that the dealer though it would be batteries? Interesting.

    I have bought a 2012 f250 6.7L two weekends ago. First day driving back check engine light came on for a NOX sensor according to the code. Took it back next day. They’ve had it for a week and a half. 15 minutes after driving back home today came back on. Will have it scanned again tomorrow. Probably just reset the codes… smh

    I have a 2016 6.7. had the recall done just before Thanksgiving, on my way to Thanksgiving dinner the Check Engine light came on. well made the appointment with ford to continue done the recall road for it PCM flash they did and now it is the NOX sensor, but unfortunately it is a P229E code not the P229F code. research is showing me they are one in the same more or less. They are saying Ford will not cover the cost of the work for extended warranty on the system as the code is not falling in the code listing. not to happy.

    Everytime I want a diesel I read about all the horror stories. Makes me lean towards the new 7.3 godzilla.

    • @Jimmy2Tech
      @Jimmy2Tech  2 роки тому +1

      My dad and I are mixed on this. He loves his diesel, and everytime I pull with it I understand why. You barely know you're towing anything at all. But it does have its upkeep and some other things a traditional gas engine doesn't have to worry about. I came to the verdict that if I was pulling 3 to 4 times a week, heavy loads, I'd probably lean toward a diesel. If you're pulling once and awhile with a semi heavy load, I think the 7.3 Godzilla will do what you need without hesitation. I'll probably end up trading in my F150 for a 7.3 but I have a few years before I have the money for that, which helps because it adds more time people use it so they can work out any bugs :)

    I replaced that sensor and everything was fine for a month and now I'm getting code P20EE. tech at the dealer says this means the rear NOx sensor needs to be replaced. Does that make sense to you? Thanks for any help.

    • @Jimmy2Tech
      @Jimmy2Tech  2 роки тому +1

      Hello Thomas,
      Yes it makes sense, they are all part of that system. Code P20EE refers to the selective catalytic reduction catalyst (SCR) on the diesels. DEF is injected into the SCR catalyst and the PCM monitors the SCR and if it fails it will throw the P20EE code. So it sounds like it needs that sensor replaced. Hope this helped. Thanks for checking out our channel. :)

      Hello Thomas,
      The code P2200 shows that it was bank one which means it it the first sensor closest to the engine. On the 2017 Ford Superduty I was told by the dealer that they go in order from 1-4 in a row except on the cab chassis trucks then they go 1,2,4,3. Hope that helps
