I bought a donor car to get all the bits I needed, and many I didn't, for my swap car. 88 GT all underneath my 86 coupe. The donor had a bunch of performance parts and, surprise, a rebuilt, forged piston 5.0.
That rust is where the strut tower meets the frame rail. That is BAD, maybe fixable, but BAD. For someone that doesnt want the car for just the parts or isn't good at weling and metal work, that is a dealbreaker - a hard no.
Where in Alberta are you. My cousin moved to Innisfail last year to manage the No Frills there. If you're ever in Innisfail and happen to stop in the No Frills, ask for Paul. Tell him Simon sent ya!
that's a decent driver car.
anyone with a wire feed welder and basic fab tools can fix that rust.
A 2017 Subaru giving problems and a 44 year old Mercury runs and drives? No surprise.

Moral of the story... Beg, and you shall receive.
Offer the right deal and you shall receive 😊
Sad to see the Capri go. You don't see too many Mercury Fox bodies.
@@moonbeamskies3346 What's funny is that I might be replacing it with another capri.
@@KatarinasGarage The front drive convertible circa 1992 or another Fox body? 😀
@moonbeamskies3346 Haha I've never seen the fwd version in person.
