I don’t think Rolex was the problem here but the independent shop owner.

I passed on two 2-tone Daytonas at the AD not long ago, black or white face. I buy to wear and that style hurts my eyes. Two tone Sub and GMT look much better.
So from your recommendations looks like pass on ALL watches. I think ill get another hobby at this point. Watches dropping as you have said. Time to pack it up. Within a year looks like grey market will be dead. Now you all see why Rolex got into the resell market, soon there will be no independent Gray market dealers. Which might be for the best. But these time piece gentlemen type people it's really hard to trust any gray market dealers anymore to be honest.

Very hard to come by now fully stickered. Partial stickers happens occasionally, but for full stickers usually would be looking on the older models before they updated their policies

@benlee8697 I think the Panda is a long hold. But its quite a small watch in relation to my Sea Dweller, so I think if you can never sell ones you have, just build your collection if you can. The oysterflex seems more of a modern twist

It’s about time grey market dealers wise up and start paying under retail to these flippers. Got a get the hot air out of the 🎈 before it completely destroys the market and put many grey market dealers out of business. The days of paying these crazy prices over retail for modern Rolex watches is just about completely over. Awesome news for the Sky Dweller and day-dates if people are still paying thousands over retail enjoy eating that box of crayons 🖍️. GMT’s are next. We haven’t even made it to the end of the year and prices are falling faster than expected. The flood of new watches is coming in under a few months so flippers are about to burned big time. Grey market dealers don’t have the credit lines to hold all of these watches for long periods of time. If they keep over paying for watches, they won’t be able to move them fast enough to keep their doors open. They have to price to sell and only pay for what will return a profit. In 2024 that will be under retail for just about any modern Rolex. Looks like you’re moving in the right direction.
