    Another good thing of the Orbea is that you can fit between two sizes, other brands are too strict on sizing. Heighting at 1.70 f.e you can stay on S for keep the playfull performance or go M for more roomy stable downhill performance, even if you increase front travel reach is generous and i guess the added stack necessary so ...

    12:35 what was tight? The corner? The cockpit? The suspension? Did it have too long a wheelbase? It cuts right into somebody talking about it being too soft or something about it being ...sprung...? Weird cut there. What do you guys mean?

    I have the Kenovo expert and yes its a beast. Twin crown forks great but changed to HSC damping assy much better and running fox fluid in bath in forks forks smoother in operation and slic honey on seals, Fox DHX2 coil much better than standard as better hold up in corners and more control on rebound, New Magura 220 mm disc, now it stops good as the sram discs not great but sticking with Sram sintered pads as they are the best. New stem for 35mm Raceface bars less vibration on wrists down rough trails. Soft compound glue on grips as dont like lockon , Sram GX 12 speed chain on 11 speed sram better change than 11 speed chain, the seat post will be getting changed to a fox factory dropper as standard post not adjustable enough, tyres dropped size to 2.3 as 2.6 to wide for wet trails better feed back so Maxxis DHF and E*thirteen TRSr rear as compound great as had left over from my YT capra pro race. Wheels holding up well spokes strong and haven't had to tighten a spoke yet. Front tyre pressure 24psi and 22psi rear with Stans Race sealant,

    hey guys props to a great video but not sure how you can say the "suspension tune " is better on the 2020? its totally the same build as the 2019? maybe you just didn't tune the bike when you tested it in 2019. im not a hater just think its miss leading what you are saying.

    • @TheLoamWolf
      @TheLoamWolf  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks for writing in and glad you enjoyed the video Sam. For what it's worth, this is the "official reply" from YT when we asked them about the changes, not only to the improved feel on trail. The motor differences were definitely the biggest improvement over the 2019 we rode.
      Obviously, there is also the chance there was a QC issue from Fox and perhaps we had a bad shock, but per YT's reply, the 2020 has a different tune.
      "...Rear shock tune codes are different as well.

      2020; D2K9"

    Great video. I’ve pre-ordered a 2021 Wild FS largely on the strength of this review. I’m 5ft 11 & cannot choose between a L & XL. I’m worried about the short reach on the large, but don’t want an overly long bike for the tight trails I spend 90% of my time riding. What do you think? Demo rides are not available in my area currently.

    • @TheLoamWolf
      @TheLoamWolf  4 роки тому

      Right on congrats! if you mostly spend time on tighter trails, we'd say go with the Large. It'll be a solid choice for all but the fastest, steepest and wide open terrain. We always say pick the best setup for the most common riding you do.

    Great Video; Thank you! I also like your 2020 Trail bike review. I have my eye on the Trek Rail (9.8 version). It seems like the Rail splits the middle between Trail/Enduro. How do you feel the Rail would have stacked up against the other Enduro bikes in your test?

  • @chm1701

    The production value of your videos is absolutely superb. Nice that you pop a little humour in too.
    As far as Giant is concerned, I too was shocked by how much torque the Yamaha motor had. The downside is that Giant really haven’t got their designs right. The battery isn’t held in well enough, the electrics are too inconsistent (they’ve had a lot of problems with a lack of waterproofing) and when the motor is removed, there are so many wires in the way, that’s it’s ridiculously frustrating to refit the motor.
    Anyway, I’m looking forward to seeing more of your videos. Really enjoyed this one. Keep up the good work 👍

      Giant is poor quality and needs a lot of work to be derestricted.

    • @scottpratico1315
      @scottpratico1315 4 роки тому

      @@chriskros8858 derestricting is what gives e bikes a bad name. Guys going 60 kmh on bike paths isnt cool. France just passed a 30k euro fine for tampered bikes. Need to go fast? Get a supermoto.

    • @chriskros8858
      @chriskros8858 4 роки тому +1

      @@scottpratico1315 You have wrong imagination about detestricting of e mtb.
      First of all going 60 kph is simply impossible with mtb gearing optimised. In practice going 30-35 is possible in short periods.
      Absolute max ca 40 kph but believe me nobody is able keep such speed to long and battery can be eaten very fast.
      2nd limited e bike can be dangerous in many situations on the enduro track.
      3rd derestrivying is not for going 60 between children as in the cars max speed 250 is not for going in the city. Have you seen limited car to 50 kph?
      Think that restricted bike is limited going uphill only.
      Going down 60 kph is possible for every bike. Race bikes go sometimes 100 kph and they are dangerous no good brakes no tyres no suspension as m MB.
      4th such drastic law as you mentioned can be influence of very strong lobby. People should change these very stupid politics.
      5th some E-bikes really are dangerous they have 5000W power and propertoies of motobikes but not E-MTB sold as the legal bikes 250 W even derestricted .
      Detestricting such poor motor as 250W helps to keep speed due to gained kinetic energy so riding is more efficient.
      Also helps for commuting on the street. Car drivers goin behind bike are more happy if they can not overtake on narrow roads when bike goes faster than 25.
      And tell me why E bike owner who paid a lot of money for such machine cannot go faster than 25 kph (to heavy to go so fast without assistance) when on the same road legs powered bikes go 35 kph? Don't you think it is discrimination?
      People do not listen too much politics They set law the lobbysts require not good for you.
      The same is with cars and planes.
      Cars make polution planes not.
      W bikes bad thing because people do not commute by cars Don't you see they say one and make something opposite?

    Do you think the Orbea Wild FS in an XL would have solved your issue with the reach? I've heard that the Large is really more of a medium. I'm 6 ft. and am deciding which eMTB to get. My two top contenders are the YT Decoy Elite and the Orbea Wild FS. But only based on specs and reviews. I've never even seen them in person or ridden them.

    As a heavier rider (6ft 4in, 230lb) how did you guys find the Bosch CX 75nm motor for climbing? Does it do it OK or does it struggle? I have tried the Bros 90nm motor on the Specialized Levo which I liked a lot, but the Bosch motor is more common and allows for greater selection of bike manufacturers.

      jak p no sorry. We have a Haibike in the Trail category. We tried but have no contacts at KTM or Husqvarna and it doesn’t appear they’re trying to make inroads for the North American market. We’d love to get them. March 4th our Trail video drops. Stay tuned.

      The Loam Wolf I was thinking of Haibike in a more gnarly category. They make bikes that could be classified as downhill. Curious if it could really hold up to downhill use.
