Why would you disable the magaride (magnetic suspension) ? Would you think if you can afford an Escalade, the new parts to keep same suspension really is minor in relation to the ride compensating features of Magnaride © by GM

Trucker here too. Just did the same thing to my wife's suburban plus hostile rims nitto g2s and a 3.5 in lift. My trucker wife is rollin in style now too.

That drivers side strut was completely "blown" collapsed. It was ALL spring working there. Glad you got that changed. Can be dangerous collapsed like that. Especially Up here in the Snow of Canada.

You should have cut the wires off the original struts and connected the resistor to that. That way you have a plug and play bypass without removing the factory connector.

Why did you use a non magnetic shock? Just curious. Maybe you have other issues with those components. Anyway I swapped out our 2019 Escalade and struts with magnetic ride were 268$ and tax
There were no other options but dealer when I looked. I’m glad you got it fixed.
@@JustTruckin yeah mine were like 1.5” different 🤣 as far as the magnetic control. I don’t know if that’s all but it’s chopped up to be anyways you know ha ha.

Make sure you get your alignment checked loosening all that and putting your new struts in. More than likely it won't be off much but save your tires!

I’m having trouble fitting the new strut on top of the lower control arm because my current struts are totally collapsed. The new struts are much longer!

GM don't build em like they used to and I've been a loyal gm buyer for 23+ years now. I only buy used gmt400 series trucks old but the most reliable gm ever made. My 97 hoe is a beast rock solid 5.7 350 paid $1300 for it 7 years ago and still drive it daily. Drove it to Wisconsin from Philly twice without issues. 240,000 miles on it right now. I'd buy 50 of them for the price of your fancy plastic escalade lol

After changing the struts on my 2016 I'm getting a message ( service suspension ) does anyone know what or how to fix this? Keep in mind there's no lights on.
Those sensors at the top of the strut if you buy aftermarket they won’t be there

That strut was blownout..... That seal is toast so you had no suspension at all on left front......It only had spring working still... Bet its a night & day difference when driving it now
